Why is safari running so slow

Everytime I open safari all the sites even apple takes forever to load and is not internet connection I even went out and bought a new modem thinking it was the modem but is still running slow, wifi or ethernet.

I have other mac's on my home network that are still running Snow Leopard and the are performing well. I wanted to use the iCloud so I upgraded and instantly started experiencing the slow down, to the point of ridiculousness. Other function are mixed some normal speed, others a day on the beach with the spinning ball. Firefox is at full speed, good thought, haven't checked Chrome yet.
Last night and hooked into a projection unit that adjusted my screen resolution for a presentation and after the event my Mac reset back to the normal settings and Safari launched and is running normal speeds so far. In the past there have been issues with performance speeds and certain resolutions, has anyone had similar luck or is this a fluke?

Why is Muse running impossibly slow?

Muse is running impossibly slow...I am working on a very simple website...the file is only 9.3MB. Any ideas why it is running so slow? I am using a trial version of Muse because I want to see how it performs and if it would be a good purchase for me but if it runs this slow I don't know if I want to buy it...

I have an IMac Intel running Mountain Lion and my internet Safari is sooo slow or it just does not download. I had to use my laptop to go to support - here - because my desktop safari is still stuck.

Try troubleshooting Safari extensions and third party plugins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

How can i find out what or why mac is running so slow ?

My Mac is running as slow as a week in jail , how can i find out what is causing it , I have 1TB memory , using 635 of it at the moment. i'm using version 10.7.1 , lion. It just seems so slow to respond to anything , start up , open an app , go from one song to another in iTunes , go from one event to another in iPhoto , everything is slow . any ideas out there folks ? Can be Add-ons. Start up Fx in Safe Mode to test by holding down the Option key. This will run without any Add-ons. If it's OK like that, disable them all and then add them back one at a time to see which one is responsible.

Have a iPhone 4s but IOS8 but why does it run so slow?

Updated to the ios8 platform. took out a few songs for the download. but everything is running so slow. i don't have a lot of apps. and not a lot of the apps are running. is this a issue or just do i need to upgrade?

What are you doing in Aperture? Have you imported a large iPhoto library? Then Aperture probably is still doing massive setup work in the background - indexing the content, building previews, scanning for faces and places. This may take several hours or several days, depending on the size of your library.
But your hardware is not optimal for Aperture. If your machine is not maxed out with 2 GB RAM, try to upgrade this. You will have much more joy with more RAM. Also check, if you are running out of disk space. The operating system will need at least 10GB of free disk space asworking space to run smoothly, but more free space is advisable. An overfull disk will slow the system down considerably - try to keep at least 20% of the system drive free - or more, as our hardware experts will tell you.
You can check for bottlenecks by launching the Activity Monitor from the Applications > Utility folder. This will tell you, which processes are using most of the CPU time, the memory usage, the disk writes.
In addition to this, Aperture has its own Activity viewer. You can lauch it from the "Windows" menu. here you can see the active Aperture activities and the progress they are making.

Safari runs toooo SLOW after Time Warner took over from Adelphia cable

I have a Motorala cable modem SB5100 which with my previous Adelphia cable connection worked great. About 3 months ago, Time Warner took over Adelphia here in San Diego. Since that time, my commuter has been running sooo slow! I talked with the Time warner tech who suggests my modem may not be working. My question to you techies (which I am not) is it the modem which they are trying to get me to change (I own it) and rent theirs or is it my computer?? Could I have picked up a virus or have I done something to my computer which is slowing the internet use. It takes forever to access any site or turn a page. I find it hard to believe that my modem is the issue since it worked fine with Adelphia. TWC in fact uses the same modem as I have with other clients. Is there anything else I can do or run to see if it is the computuer versus the modem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is what I did (subsequent to the referenced
thread)
Go to the System Preferences>Network panel
- Location - set up a personal location by clicking
on the drop down menu and selecting "add a location".
Use a name familiar to you. Once established,
select "apply".
Next, click on the "Show" drop down menu and select
Network Port Configurations. Only Ethernet (or
Airport) ought to be checked. Move it to the top of
the list (you can drag it). Select "apply".
Back to the "Show" menu, depending on your
connection select "Ethernet" or "Airport". Click on
the TCP panel. There enter 4.2.2.2 in the DNS
servers box and select "apply". Or, as an
alternative, follow the DNS suggestions outlined
here.
Personally, I have found the OpenDns codes to be most
effective for my system.
There is no virus affecting Macs.

Why does aperture run so slow

i have loaded a very larg number of photos into aperture. now the app runs so slow it is impossible to use. what am i doing wrong?

Probably nothing.
You might turn on the "Activity" window in Aperture, to see what Aperture is doing (from Aperture's main menu bar: "Window > Show Activity". After importing it will need plenty of time to render previews, detect faces, assign places, etc. Best let it run over night.
Other things that might be a problem:
Aperture will slow down, if the project are too large. Did you import all images into one single project? Keep the projects small, not much larger than about 200 images per project.
And if your harddisk becomes full, you may slow down the mac considerably.Try to keep at least 20 GB of your harddisk free.
You may have imported a corrupted image or an incompatible video. If that is the case, than Aperture will try over and over again to render a preview and not succeed. It might help, to disable the rendering of previews, until you have spotted the video or image that is causing the problem
How much RAM do you have, and how full is your disk?
