Why is scrolling so slow when pages are enlarged?

This program is frustrating, it takes forever to scroll up and down when the text page is enlarged. How can this be fixed?

I'm having the same problem
using DE on mac air---scrolling is hopelessly slow and also beeps if I press the forward arrow to try to turn pages.
any suggestions on how to get this working?

Using up to date versions of Win 7 Home Premium, Adobe Flash and ActiveX on an HP Pavillion dv7 laptop. Does NOT happen at all in MS IE 8, but occurs every time in FF 5.0.
Also, Google 'translate this page' links do not work in FF 5.0, but works in MS IE 8. All I get in FF is a blank page, time after time.

I am using a Nvidia 4200M adapter in my Laptop, Driver 266.96, Direct X 11
In my desktop I am using an ATI XFX 6950, latest revision drivers (I am not at home right now so I cant get that info).
The issue I did describe above, but it was a long explanation.
In some flash games the game files load initially and get as far as the "click to start" button. Then the flash area usually goes either all white or all black (usually depending on the falsh game default background color) and then it stays that color. Cant see anything after hitting start (usually most games have an intro video or animation before the game starts, but I cant see any of it.
For the very few games that do start, the flash game or application does not seem to work correctly in that when the rare game starts, it wont save any game files or save files to the pc and so if I exit the game (navigate away to another page or close browser) and then later come back, even though I click the option to save games (and ensure that the flash application slider shows it can save files and lots of space) it does not save and I have to start from the beginning all the time.

Hi,
use the Eclipse Theme Editor. No need to be logged on in the portal, hence: faster. You'll only have to upload the theme afterwards to the portal.

Why is scrolling so slow?

On Mavericks 10.9.2, ADE 3.0. Scrolling is painfullly slow. If the page happens to have a picture, it gets worse. Its unusable!
Also, why does the application "beep" when I use the arrow keys??? How do I turn this off?

Hey my internet is really slow when other people use it.
Also it is a problem when i'm xbox live, i'll be playing a game and when someone else in the house is on BBC i player, it skips like mad and its so frustrating to play on, in fact its unplayable.
I just want to know if there is a way to fix this,
I have BT broadband and i have the black hub.
I have no ideas about computers and internet so i really dont know what to do about this!

TS4083 The Icloud mail can take 5-10 seconds to open..why is it so slow when all the other emial systems on my Imac are almost instand?

New mail or sent mail takes a long time to open..all other e-mail systems on my IMac are almost instant access.

I run very few or no extensions with the exception of Java and Flash. I never, '''NEVER''' use stupid toolbars. The problem with FireFox on OS X Lion seems to be related to the OS. The speed of my Internet connection never changed and it continues to be fast for all of my computers, both Mac and Windoze 7.
If you change your default DNS on the Mac to something like the IP address of the Google DNS servers, FireFox and Chrome will run at normal speeds. If anyone needs help with this, please post another message and I will post instructions.

Why is labview so slow when I use an array subset to scan through a large array

I am using an array sub set to scroll arrays across an intensity graph, and it works but when I load a large array (ex. 482 x 1000) the program is extremely slow, updating appox. every 3 seconds. What I'm I doing wrong?

Why do my photos get blurry when they are enlarged to full screen from the disc I burn, or played on the t.v.? I set the burn on the highest quality. The photos don't look blurry when enlarged from iphoto on the computer.

Why do my photos that are transferred from iphoto to idvd, and then burned on DVD, look blurry when the idvd is shown full screen on computer or on t.v. They don't look blurry when I enlarge the iphoto pics on the computer. I used the 'prof. quality" encoding setting before burning, and before putting photos on idvd.

DVD is as standard - only interlaced SD-Video (as on old CRT-TVs) and can never be any better than this.
This is less than a quarter of Your Mac screen resolution.
That's one part of Why You can see High res. on Your Mac - and not on DVD.
Next part is what program is used to make the SlideShow.
If You use iMovie'08 or 09 or 11 - to make it - it too degrades the final result as non of them can deliver interlaced SD-Video to iDVD but only half (every second line in the picture)

Why objet is not stopped when page change

I'm currently working in my company on a library.
A have created a class to display ads in a webrowser. A request is executed every 20 seconds.
I display the ads in a panorama page
but when i go to a detail page my banner continu to do request.
The object isn't destroyed when the page change ?
And if not how can i resolve it ?

No. You should call the stop method on that timer to ensure it stops when you want it to. It sounds like there's a handle somewhere on that timer that hasn't been released (perhaps via page caching) so that's why the timer hasn't gone out of scope.
Ignoring the obvious solutions makes your programming life more difficult.

HDV 1080p30 very slow when files are from Shake

Hi,
I have a totally tricked out 8 core Mac pro with 8 GB ram and a 1 TB drive (mostly empty). I'm using the Latest FCP. Recently, I've been editing some HD video that I've shot and have been quite pleased with the performance of the machine/software. However, I am experiencing a weird problem. I also have Shake, which I am using to do some composting and, relevantly, remove a small amount of camera vibration from my footage. (It works great.)
However, any files that I export from Shake, using (as best as I can tell) the exact same file formats and codecs that my imported Raw (unprocessed in Shake) video is. That is: they are quicktime files, Using HDV 1080p30fps, with 29.97 FPS "drop frame" codec. While the raw imported files work great, the files I export from Shake and put into my timeline result in a "Spinning Ball" whenever I do anything at all to them- play them, move the timeline around, cut, apply a filter etc,. What am I overlooking?

Let me explain to you how this works
When you archive the data, it moves out of the database into a flat file which is latter stored on optical disk/hard disk etc depending upon your archiving solution
When archving is done, it also creates an index ( depending upon how your have configured the object) This index is of few common fields of the archived objects . This is than stored within SAP. When you call SARI you seen this indexed data from SAP and hence the response is quick. At this point it does not get the data from your archives
When you call it through the transaction FBL.. , it needs all the fields ( which are not avl in the indexed data ) and hence SAP has to go to the archives to fetch it
This results in slowing it down.
Now how slow will it be is a difficult question for us to answer as a lot denpends upon your archiving solution and how much data are you trying to fetch
As far as memory problem is concerned you need to analsye the dump as to where ( on what buffer parameter is it failing) Depending upon that you will have to either increase memory parmeters OR reduce the amount of data your a fetching

Firefox will crash while I am using the internet...no warning, no apparent reason...just an apology for the crash. Why?
Today, when using an Adobe application Firefox did not recognize or allow the website to recognize that "cookies" WERE enabled. I kept receiving a message that the website could not proceed until same was enabled. Even after several redoing the enabling instructions, the message report the cookies were NOT enabled. Yet, as I write this the screen menu drop down in Tools, Options shows the cookies is programmed and are enabled. Why? How to fix?

This box has suddenly appeared and I cannot move it will get rid of it when I open Pages,

The same started happening with me today. It happens on opening Pages, so not a dialog box anywhere else as nothing is opening. I can go on to open a blank document, but the diaglog box is still on the top of the document, new message is "There are no warnings for this document", but I still can't get rid of the box

Layers' actions disappear when pages are replaced in PDF?

When I replace pages in an existing PDF with updated ones, my actions for layers seem to not keep the actions they had set to them. I check the properties, and they seem to be there, but the action does not work.
I am replacing the exact amount of pages and the exact amount of layers.
Any ideas? Am I missing something when I replace the pages?

I think you will have to reestablish the actions. Layers are not like annotations that are left in place when the underlying page gets replaced. Layers (OCGs) are page contents, so when they're replaced with something new, the connection is broken.
Consider what would happen if you replace a page that had OCGs with one that doesn't. Since the OCGs are no longer present, any actions that control them would naturally not work. So even when replacing a page with one that contains the same OCSs, they are still not considered to be identical at a lower level and the actions can no longer work.

When I connect our MacBook Pro to our HDTVs, the mouse and cursor lag. Is this a problem because we are using the VGA connector? Should we be using HDMI?
