Why is select calendar and address book greyed out? Why can we not select these options?

Why can we not select address books or calendars? Why is this option greyed out in ITunes 12?

You have to make the selection active.
Go to Select>all, then Select>modify>border.
Another way is to use a stroke:
Open your picture file
Go to Select>all
Open a blank layer above this
Go to Edit>stroke(outline) selection. In the  dialog, enter the width of the stroke, choose color, place it inside, ok it.
If you don't like the border, delete the layer with the stroke, and adjust to suit, then do it over starting with step #3

  • Why won't my Mac with Mt Lion update my calendar and address book through iCloud

Why won't my Mac w Mt Lion update mt Calendar and Address book through the Icloud?

Are you really still running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) as shown in your profile? If so, that's why. Full use of iCloud needs at least Lion 10.7.2 or Mountain Lion.
If you have upgraded to Mountain Lion and forgot to update your profile, here are some things to check:
    Is it on a network?
Is it signed into iCloud? The same iCloud Account?
Are Contacts and "Calendars & Reminders" checked in the iCloud and same account's "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" panels of System Preferences?
Are you looking at the correct accounts in Calendar and Contacts?

  • How can I share the same music but separate calendars and address book for 2 users on the same computer?

Can anyone help to answer if I can share the same music account on itunes but still maintain separate calendars and address books on the same computer?

Make sure each user has their own computer login.
Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder to /Users/Shared.
    Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library and select /Users/Shared/iTunes/ folder.
Quit iTunes and log into other user.
    Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library and select /Users/Shared/iTunes/ folder.
That is all you need to do.
Any changes in iTunes by one will be seen by all others (since you are using the same library).
All users will have their own Contacts & Calendars and all other info.
If you are using Fast User switching, you must quit iTunes before switching users if others wish to use iTunes.

Reset the device. If it doesn't work try removing your account and adding it again. If that doesn't work then try restoring the device to factory settings by pluggin into iTunes and clicking "Restore".

  • HT1386 Cannot select calendars or address books to sync.

Select calendars and select address book are greyed out. Cannot select them in new ITunes on Yosemite.

Hi - I sync my home iMac and my work PC w/ XP to the iPhone daily.
First, make sure before you sync that the tab next to info (I can't look right now) has the calendar and contacts that you want to sync checked. It always works for me. When given the choice, you wants to select merge the data.
    For calendar items:
. On the PC under Outlook -- you Mac calendar items will be merged into your Outlook calendar.
. On the Mac - your Outlook calendar items will be maintained separately.
    For Contacts:
. On the PC - your Mac contacts will be merged into your Outlook contacts.
. On the Mac - your Outlook contacts will be part of your overall AB contacts. You can still, however, maintain separate groups.
    Hope that helps.

  • Lost Calendar and Address Book off Desktop

I have the Palm T/X and sync it with Desktop by Access 6.2.2 which I have used for a long time.  Today my calendar, address book and tasks disappeared off of my screen.  The data is still there and I can hotsync with it, but the calendar overlay is gone!  Only have Media and install as an icon on the side.  I have repaired, modified and unistalled and reinstalled it, to no avail.  When I hotsync the palm T/X with another computer all the information is there.  It also appears on the T/X itself.  Help!

  • Itunes not synching calendar and address book to ipod

Hiya, has anyone come across this?
I plug in my ipod to firewire as normnal, Itunes pops up as normal, it updates the music etc. But it refuses to update my contacts and calendar. The boxes in the preferences are NOT ticked, and when I try to tick (update all contacts etc), it comes up with a window "there is no calendar / address book...." and when i press "open...for me" the address book / calendar opens, but doesn't do anything else.
I have already trashed the plists of itunes and the actual application and downloaded a fresh version of itunes. Still the same. the update ot OSX 10.4.4 did not solve this either

USB makes no difference. It's in the window iPod preferences of Itunes: I tab to the box "Contacts" and "Calendars" is. And each in turn is UNticked! On trying to tick it, a window pops up "no contacts available" (and "no calendars..." on the other).
and it continues".... contact synching cannot be enabled.... do you want to open address book and create contacts now..."
on clicking "open address book" it opens with all my contacts in it as before but does not link! (same with iCal).
That's something I had no probs with before. Seems to be an internal "link" somewhere that's not recognising my existing calendar/address book.

  • PlayBook local calendar and address book no longer works

I took delivery of a brand new BBC Bold 9900 today. The setup went very well and all seems to be working fine, including the bridge. I am registered with Gmail and have also used my Gmail address and password as a BB registration ID. My PlayBook calendar and contacts worked fine before as I had set it all up with my Torch 9800. Does anyone have any ideas?
     Cheers

  • Sync to two calendars and address books?

I have a Mac at home with my calendar, contacts, music, photos, movies, etc. I have a PC at work with more calendar and contacts info. I tried to sync my iPhone with both - hoping to keep all three calendars in sync (I used to do this with my Treo 650, there were some hiccups but it generally worked).
The first time it seemed to work because lots of discrepancies popped up that needed to be resolved. No surprise there, I figured that would only have to be done once.
But now when I connect my iPhone to my PC it says it's synchronizing but it doesn't really do anything. None of the calendar or contact data is synced at all. It doesn't complain at all either. I reset the sync history and even deleted previous backups. iTunes on the PC did re-backup my phone but still didn't sync anything.
Oddly, iTues sees Outlook but my calendars and groups are not enabled for me to limit syncs to, say, my "work" calendar.
Here are some of my settings:
    - Windows XP with Outlook 2003
    - auto-sync is off
    - set to sync only checked items
    - On PC, the only syncs requested are under "info" tab
    - haven't tried the advanced "replace info on this iPhone yet"
    Any ideas?

  • I want to erase the data from my iphone so I can trade it in for a new one.  However, my husband and I share a calendar and address book.  I don't want to lose all his contact info--is there a safe way to do this?

I need to upgrade my phone.  But my husband and I somehow ended up sharing our contacts and calendar.  So I'm afraid if I wipe my phone, his phone will get wiped, as well.  How do I make sure that he doesn't lose all his info when I clear my phone out?

It will not delete his items if you erase you're phone.

  • Contacts and address book wiped out when syncing iphone

HELP!! All my address book contacts on my computer and all my iphone contacts were wiped out after syncing. Sadly, I have never backed up. I've gotten as far as library>app support>address book, but the files are computer mumbo jumbo with bits and pieces of my old info thrown in. Is there any way to convert this to human speak??? Thanks,
    Desperately seeking my info back

Contact info is included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated if needed as the first step during the sync process - if any of the data on your iPhone that is included with the backup has changed since the last sync.
If you haven't synced your iPhone again since the contact info was lost with the last sync, do not sync again and try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup.
If this restores your contact info, before syncing contact info with the Address Book on your Mac, enter one unique contact in the Address Book on your Mac. Make the contact up if needed, which can be deleted later. This should provide a merge prompt when syncing contact info, which you want to select.

  • How can I load iCal data into Calendar and Address Book data into Contacts?

I just bought a MacBook Pro running Yosemite. Migration Assistant could not read the Backup of my old, dead iMac, so I have been transferring data manually. So far Contacts and Calendar are the only Apps I have not been able to set up.

What OS was the iMac running? I ask because where data is stored can change.
