Why is Skype freezing everytime I try to open it after upgrading to Mountain Lion? Will it help if I delete and download it again? Are others having the same/similar problem?
Skype was working fine with the OS X Lion but ever since I upgraded, it has constantly been freezing. I've decided to drag it to trash and download the .dmg file from the Skype website once again. Are others facing the same problem?
Also, what are the associated files I should delete from the Library (Preferences, Caches etc) to remove Skype completely?
Well, this problem is fixed. I deleted all the files associated with Skype from the Library. Reinstalled it and the main thing, unlinked Skype from Facebook. Now it works fine!

InDesign CS5 crashes when I paste text, a text frame or a graphic from another InDesign CS5 document. I upgraded from OSX 10.6.8 over the weekend.In-place upgrades are always a crapshoot. Try trashing the prefs (see Replace Your Preferences), but most likely you'll have to reinstall ID at the very least. YOu may have to do a clean install on the OS as well.

Why has my Safari and MAIL slowed after upgrading to Mountain Lion ? I have mid-2009 MBPro and have very fast Internet access router.
I have noticed the same thing on my MAC. Mail has become very "clunky"- Before Mountain Lion, whenever I clicked on a msg or a function (delete), it would respond immediately. With Mountain Lion there is an unacceptable hesitation. What is going on with this latest update?

With Lion I had 2 user accounts. Why do I have three user accounts after upgrading to Mountain Lion?
I had consistenlty had a master admin user account for myself under Lion, plus the "Guest" account recommended and created by Lion. After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I now have the same 2 accounts, plus a new one called "Other." Why do I have that? Why was it created? How do I get rid of it if it is not needed?

Question: I've have upadated to the latest Itunes software but since doing so I've have had nothing but problems and yes
I have unloaded and reloaded at least 4 times. Now when I try to open Itunes using the short cut on the desk top it takes about 4 minutes or longer for the Itunes to start and then it freezes for about another 2 to 3 mintues and then starts. This happen everytime I try to open Itunes now. I even deleted Itunes from my hard drive and put it on my SSD to see if it would work and still nothing. I've always been pretty good at sloving my problems. But this one has me stumped. Is there anyone who as had this problem that would be willing to help me out. Router25. P.S. It only happen with this one application of software. Everything else loads up fast. This comput is about 1-1/2 years old. Most people would love to have this computer. 9 out of 10. Please help me someone. I ready have a grey beard and it getting grayer.Restore from backup. If the issue continues, restore as new.

You probably have some incompatible software.

The page loads part way and then just hangs up. The only out is to Ctrl/Alt/Delete and end program.
Freezing, or crashing?
ID on the Mac can produce reports that may (or may not) prove helpful in diagnosing the problem. I suspect this is something not directly related to InDesign, and maybe not to any of the Adobe apps directly since you seem to be having a problem in more than one. That often inidcates a problem at the system level.
Nevertheless, it won't hurt to try to gather the reports. You'll find driections for how to generate them, and to post them on Pastebin.com (then put a link to them here) so we can see what's going on at Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding

Why can't I print after upgrading to Mountain Lion with my Canon MF4450?
I've upgraded from Lion to Mountain Lion and now I can't print with my Canon MF4450.
I've already downloaded the new updated drivers from Canon's website and installed them. I've even tried uninstalling the old printer drivers, completely deleting the printer, and re-installing the printer again.
Strange thing is, this doesn't happen with ALL apps. For example, when I use Preview app to print, it hangs and I have to force close the app. If I use TextEdit app to print, it hangs as well. Same thing occurs with Notes app. There's no error messages, it just freezes and hangs until I force it to quit. However, after I force the app to quit, I get asked if I want to report the issue to Apple. Here's the details from that error:

Why won't my macbook pro repair disk permissions after upgrading to Mountain Lion?
I upgraded my 2010 Macbook pro with 2.4gHz core 2 duo processor to Mountain Lion and ever since it has been giving me issues. One of my biggest concerns is that it will no longer repair disk permissions. The progress bar goes about half way and just sits there without finishing, and this is something i'm used to doing very regularly. Other than that it has been crashing fairly often and just acting strange where on Snow Leopard it never crashed or had any issues. Any suggestions?
Quit Safari. From the Finder click on Go > Go to Folder and type ~/Library/Preferences. Delete the com.apple.Safari.plist file. Logout/Login and restart Safari. Try to save a bookmark to the Bookmarks bar.

Why doesn't my Safari Browser work after upgrading to Mountain Lion?
When I try to open Safari it immediately gives an error message that reads it quit unexpectedly.
I would suggest deleting the Safari Preference Files and Caches.
To do this:
Go to Apple Menu Bar> Go> Library. (You must hold the option key to have the Library option be shown in the menu).
Then go to the Caches folder and look for a folder that says "com.apple.safari" or something similar. Drag that folder to the Trash.
After that, go to the Preferences folder in the Library and look for a file called "Safari.plist" or something similar. Again, drag that file to the Trash.
Close the Finder window and relauch Safari.

My MAC freezes everytime I try to open a picture in Chrome.
Every time I try to "save as" a picture in Chrome, my MAC freezes in Chrome. I can click outside of Chrome and use the picture, but cannot get Chrome to comeback, even if I Force Quit and restart it. Also, doing a soft "Restart" will not fix the problem...I have to manually press the on/off button of the MAC to be able to use Chrome again.
I guessed OS X (10.6.7) on the operating system (because I always install the latest updates)...I was unable to get any response when I clicked on "About this MAC".
Any help is appreciated!!!You have posted in the PPC iMac forum. Chrome does not run on PPC Macs, only on Intel macs.
If you are really running Snow Leopard 10.6 you have an Intel Mac as Snow Leopard does not run on PPC macs.
So no confusion here at all!
But either way, you have made a good case for getting rid of Chrome! -
Photoshop CS6 freezes everytime I try to open a file?

Why does cs6 freeze when i try to open a psd file?
I have two files that will not open, the program just freezes and i have to control alt delete out. how can i open this file?
These file may be corrupt if Photoshop CS6 works otherwise. If you upload them to a file sharing server and post a link to them I will download them and see if I can open them in the versions of Photoshop I have installed on my machines.

I have tried clearing the cache, allowing pop-ups from Flickr and Yahoo and all pop-ups but Firefox will not allow the sign-in page to load. Is it a virus? It doesn't seem to affect any other website, including hotmail. I have tried other browsers and they don't want to load Yahoo and Flickr either. Any suggestions gratefully received. I'm using Windows with Firefox 4 on a Toshiba laptop.

2 out of 8 shows freezes. what can I do?
