Why is Terminal starting when I restart?
Why is Terminal starting when I restart? It is NOT in the startup items in my Users and Groups in System Prefs. I have checked Termianl to see if I can stop it from loading but there is nothing there to stop it. Starded doing this suddenly. I have to restart onve a day to start Windows 7 on a partition and go back and every time I do thatmor any other restart thing, the Termninal opens. Have I enterned sometning in Terminal that makes it restart?

In Terminal copy & paste this at the prompt...
defaults write -app 'Terminal' ApplePersistence -bool no
Press return
Now reboot.
The reverse would be "yes".

Unfortunately, neither of those things worked, but I did notice that when I uninstalled Firefox, it asked if I wanted to save settings, and I said yes and it seemed to remember the Dell 720 printer in the "about:config" menu. So, maybe uninstalling Firefox without saving settings would make a difference. What do you think? Also, I just noticed in the "Add or Remove Programs" menu in control panel that the icon next to "Dell Photo Printer 720" is a little recycle bin, which seems a bit odd. On the dell.com forum, someone suggested using Firefox 5.0.1, available at a different website. Is this worth a shot or are there other more conservative troubleshooting suggestions to try first?

Go to iPhoto>Preferences>General . In line that says "Connecting camera opens" change to no application.

I tried Java service wrapper
I got a Frame2.class i.e. in c:\1\Frame2.class
it just creates a simple Frame window
say i am using it as a appplication ( Frame2.class)and need it to be start when system restarts, and run it 24x7

3) copied Wrapper.exe from wrapper 3.2.3/bin/ folder to c:\1\bin\ folder
4) Renamed files App.bat - Frame2.bat,
InstallApp-NT.bat - InstallFrame2-NT.bat
UninstallApp-NT.bat - UninstallFrame2-NT.bat
SimpleInstallApp-NT.bat - SimpleInstallFrame2-NT.bat
SimpleUninstallApp-NT.bat - SimpleUninstallFrame2-NT.bat
SimpleApp.bat - SimpleFrame2.bat
AppNoWrapper.bat - Frame2NoWrapper.bat
5) And renamed the c:\1\conf\wrapper.conf.in to wrapper.conf
( I haven't changed any thing in the wrapper.conf file)
6) then i executed the Frame2.bat (double clicking it)
i got this error

why is it that every time i start up my macbook air and when i restart it, that the new office with word and those three other apps constantly pop up? even though i went to personal preferences/users/login items, and selected the box that clearly says "items to NOT be brought up when logging in" ?

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -

Update firefox, it asked me to update flash, I tried to update flash but it said I had to close firefox. A box came up and said the Flash install would continue when I closed firefox. I closed all firefox windows and no update of flash occurred. I tried relaunching firefox but got the "Doesn't start when starting as administrator. Error Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." message. I rebooted the system, no improvement. I tried to run firefox as administrator and got the same message. Either I find a fix or I won't be able to use firefox and will have to go back to ie.

windows vista not recognizing my iphone4s when i open itunes, keep getting trust / dont trust message on phone and always press trust. Not sure why it's started doing it. i can no longer connect to itunes. a message comes up "we could not complete your itunes request. The itunes store is temporarily unavailable. please try again later. but when i use a different acct. it goes through right away . why did this start happening?
I don't know - but I am having the same problem and have not had any useful help from Apple Support. Everything they told be to do has been done and it hasn't fixed the problem.
