Why is the 15" powerbook no longer available?

Assuming the plan is to discontinue making them - Are they just the first to clear out of Apple's inventory?
I do see they are still available thru Amazon and the like.
Perhaps a new configuration will appear next month at Apple's 30th Anniversary? Perhaps they figured out how to cool down a G5 Powerbook?
In any case, if ya know why the 15" is no more on the Apple site I'd appreciate yer heads up. Much thanx.

I too decided against the MBP. The "old" PB is plenty fast for my needs, but it also let me keep my array of power adapters, PCMCIA cards, Double Layer DVDs, 60 extra vertical pixels, modem, Firewire 800, cases, adapters, covers, etc. All my $$$ of software is PPC native. All told, going with the PB1.67g actually saved me over $1000 in new gear. If you ever feel regret for not getting the latest PB, post back here and I'll help you through it.
I just realized I have owned the Powerbook G4 "bookends": the 400mhz Titanium and the 1.67ghz Aluminum. Five gears of the G4 portables was a pretty good run. I wonder what we'll have in another 5 years?

This being a user to user forum, not Apple, we have no way of knowing Apple's policy regarding the availablity of movies sold or rented from the iTunes Store.
However, you can start a wish list.
In iTunes, click iTunes Store (below Store).
Find the song, video, or album you want to add.
Click the arrow to the right of the Buy button for the item you want to add:
From the menu that appears, choose “Add to Wish List:”

Sorry, but you don't. None of us here, who are all just fellow users, know why the Daily Show was removed from any iTunes Store. It was certainly by request of the owner(s) of the show, but what their reasons are none of us here can say and Apple never comments on the reasons for lack of availability of any content.

Because they are discontinuing this phone...you can get the iPhone 4S, 5C, or 5S now. (Depending on your country).

Async tcp client and server. How can I determine that the client or the server is no longer available?

Hello. I would like to write async tcp client and server. I wrote this code but a have a problem, when I call the disconnect method on client or stop method on server. I can't identify that the client or the server is no longer connected.
I thought I will get an exception if the client or the server is not available but this is not happening.

Have you debug these two applications? Does it go into the catch exception block when you close the client or the server?
According to my test, it will throw an exception when the client or the server is closed, just log the exception message in the catch block and then you'll get it:

Reboot everything. Router, printer and pad. If it used to work, it will again. It just lost itself somewhere.

I do think you should ask yourself if upgrading to Lion is the right course to take.
Snow Leopard is an excellent OS and Lion has literally been frozen out after barely a year. Remember too that some of your apps may not work with Lion (those that have Rosetta, for example) so that could mean more new purchases. Plus you may need to uprate your RAM too.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

First make sure you are searching the name correctly.
If the app is no longer in the App Store it is no longer available for download. This happens when Apple has found the app violates the agreement with the developer or when the developer no longer wants the app listed in the App Store.
If the app is truly no longer in the App Store your only option is to copy it from iTunes on the computer you normall sync with.

If it's not available in your country and you do not have a copy of it in iTunes backed up on your computer, you don't.

All one gets from the download drop-down menu is:
(480p), (240p) or (360p) for example and the name of the video of course.
The way it is now, I cannot identify the type of video I am downloading as I could before.

Your assumptions are incorrect. Not all Youtube videos are offered in other formats; some are only offered in FLV format. Generally, only the very HD ones are offered in MP4. The format in which videos are offered are the decision of Youtube and/or the original poster of the video.
I opted to not pay for the VDH converter. There are FREE converters that will convert FLV to other formats, but they do not interface with VDH. Even the VDH converter is a 2-step process (in both manual or automatic mode). The converter that is included free with VDH will put an ugly icon/watermark on your converted video--every frame of the video. To find a free converter, just Google "free flv converter" (with the quotation marks).
