Why is the background on my firefox page back instead of white

I have tried everything I could think of to fix this with no success, please help.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors and you can also check the default colors.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar or open Options via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button

  • I inadvetantly put a "Theme" in the background of my Firefox browser ("Personas"?) and would like to disable it but instructions on Firefox web site do not solve the problem?

I have no other details to provide except that the background of my Firefox page is ugly, distracting and I cannot get rid of it. Does Firefox have a customer service group that I can call for help. HELP.

You can uninstall your current Persona and revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • How do you change the background of a single page??

I know how to change the background of a page (wrench tool- document setup- add shape- change size to fit whole page - change colour - done)
but it automatically makes every page that colour not just one page, please can somebody explain how to make it work. Thanks

    Hello Alp2001,
Thank you for the details setting a background color in Pages.  When you click on Document Setup under the wrench tool, this sets the background for your entire document.
Alternatively, if you want to add a background on a single page but not for the entire document, you can just add a shape with the background color on that page.  I also recommend locking the shape once you add it so that it doesn't move while you are trying to add other items to the page.
Follow the steps in this article to add a shape, change the size to fit the whole page, and change the color:
Pages Help for iPad - Add and edit shapes
    http://help.apple.com/pages/ipad/2.0/#/tan9ad18c384
Once you have set the background for that page, folllow the steps under the section titled "Lock objects" in this article to lock the background shape so that it doesn't move:
Pages Help for iPad - Layer, group, and lock objects

  • HT204407 why is the display on my icloud page so freaking big. It's magnified about a hundred times and why can't I scroll up and down. The thing is frozen. It's very irritating.

Why is the display on my icloud page so freaking large. It's magnified about a hundred times. It's like I can see only one letter at a time. I'm using a PC, but I recently bought an Iphone, so I was going with their technology. But this Icloud display thing is just a pain in the ***. I can't even use the scroll up and down feature. It's just a frozen solid block.

My display for iCloud on my desktop is the same. Magnified and can't find a way to fix it. It is the same for all the accounts in my family. It is magnified on my sign in page.

  • Why is the screen in my liquify page blank/white?  I used to be able to see the picture

Why is the screen in my liquify page blank/white?  I used to be able to see the picture I was working on but now it just shows a white page...  I have photoshop CS4.  How do I fix it?

are you zoomed in too far to see that part of the layer that has content?  Does the layer you have selected definitely have content?  Try using Ctrl/Cmd 0 to zoom back to fit to screen.

  • Why are the options for "When Firefox starts" NOT clickable in Firefox 5? I want to choose "Windows and tabs that where opened last time you accessed the net" but Firefox won't let me.

In the previous version of Firefox one could choose to save tabs so that when Firefox opened, all the tabs from the previous sessions appeared. This was done in Settings > Options > General > Startup. In the menu for the "When Firefox Starts" one had the option for "Windows and tabs that where opened last time you accessed the net." in Firefox 5.0, this menu is gray and not clickable. Help, please?

''Why are the options for "When Firefox starts" NOT clickable in Firefox 5?"
Possibly you are not saving your "browsing history" which is what the session history is tied into.
'''Not saving History''' -- check your settings for '''Tools > options > Privacy'''', make sure you are not clearing more than just cache in "Settings for Clearing History"
    * http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4928/clearcachew.png
    * clearing your history at end of session, cache is the only one you would want to clear at end of session, if you don't want to lose things
There are several things that are related to private browsing and not saving History
    * Private Browsing Ctrl+Shift+P
    * You selected "Never remember history" in first drop-down of Tools > Options Privacy and all of the check marks disappear (See picture above)
    * "Permanent private browsing mode" was check-marked under "Use custom settings for history" in the first drop-down of Tools > options > Privacy (see picture above)

What do you mean fuzzy?  I have CS4 on Windows XP but I don't understand your terminology.  It is grey in color but all DW versions are more or less like this.
i can post a screen shot of what is on my machine if it would be of any help.

  • What is the web address to change the wallpaper at the top of my firefox page?

I received an email several weeks ago to place a picture that runs at the top of my firefox page. I cannot locate the email that provided the images that are available. There were hundreds of images & pictures to choose from but I don't know how to access that website. It is my understanding that this is a firefox-supported site.

I'm having problems uploading video taken with my iPhone 4 to Photobucket.  FB will not accept the file extension which is ex. IMG_423.  They will play on my computer and will upload to Facebook.  Why is the phone taking video with this file instead of something like .mov or mp4.  How can I change the extension after the fact and avoid it in the future?

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

  • Why does the apple icon come on then off then a white screen appears?

Why does the apple icon come on then off then a white screen appears?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Why is the background of the navigation bar on firefox 4 grey? How do i make it have a clear background like the rest of the toolbars?

okay i downloaded firefox 4 and all was good, but today and yesterday the naviagation toolbar (you know the one with the search engine home forward and back buttons) has a grey background, the buttons arent grey but the background is and it's driving me crazy

Formatting options on the forum is showing '''''BTTF's''''' suggestion incorrectly. It should be
    #nav-bar{background:rgba(255,0,0,0.5) !important; }
I have not tested this solution, so I can not vouch that it works.

  • The background setting at the top of my Firefox page is too busy (beach scen) to read the tabs. How can I get just a simple plain background instead of the tropical beach scene?

A cannot read all the tabs because the tropical beach scene background at the top of my firefox screne is too busy with dark objects like palm tree trunks. How can I change the screen background so I can read my tabs more easily?

  • Why is the background of my address bar coloured red when I am logged in to MyBT, which has a https prefix

My home page is https://www.bt.com/appsconsumeraccount/find.do?userLoginEventSuccess=true. but the background is red. Is this something I should be concerned about

Have to post a new reply, to my own question!
By accident I discovered the error. In Firefox, on the tab "Tools", the choise "Settings" and "Content" under the title "Fonts and colors" there is a button: "Colors". It opens a window, i I than check off the checkmark from the box "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" - and accept these choises with "OK"... Voilá! There we have the problem once more!
When I want to change color of my visited internet links and I want to force Firefox to use MY colors on these links, well, Firefox punishes me by destroying every logotype, grid pattern in almanacs and so on in every new site I visit on the internet... And of cause, I never understood the connection between my beautiful burning red visited links and this incomprehensible mystic error of my internet kalender or the other sites...
So that was the simpel but stupid thruth!!!
Hopefully some geniuses finds a solution to why Firefoxe acts like this - if I want to have RED visited links instead of blue, to better see the difference between visited and not visited links when surfing the internet, it isn't possible without destroying the looks of the sites I try to visit... (only in my own brouser, but yet... rather irritating!)

  • Why does the update change my home page and make Google so prevelant?

Several of the last "updates" involved the changing of my bookmarks and home page,. The so called update required me to spend more time in refreshing the browser to its previous condition. This is frustrating to say the least. Second why does the updated version of of firefox seem to favor google?

Normally, an update does not change your home page...
What did you home page change to? That might help identify the source of the problem.
I assume you have tried changing your home page back to your preferred site, either in the Options dialog or using one of the other methods:
    * [[Startup, home page and download settings]]
    * [[How to set the home page]]
Did that work at all? By "at all" I mean:
    * Immediately after making the change, if you click the Home button, or launch a new window using Ctrl+n, does your preferred page load? Or is that ignored?
    * Does the setting revert later in your session (you see in Options it has changed)?
    * Does the setting revert after you exit and start Firefox up again?
    * Is the problem only when you use your Firefox desktop shortcut?
With that information, it will be easier to recommend a solution.
I'm not sure I understand your second question. Google has always been the default search provider in Firefox. Are you seeing even more Google than that?
