Why is the battery life dropping so fast on my iphone 4s. Just started all of a sudden today, never did it before. I already double-clicked the bottom button to see what was running and nothing was running. I checked multiple times and turned apps. off.
All of a sudden today my battery life just started dropping off on my iphone 4s. I charge it every night. I double clicked the circle button on the bottom to see what was running and there was minimal running but i turned them off anyway. I checked back in a little bit, the same, turned the couple things off again which were like phone and messages... nothing major running. Battery percentage still plummeted til it just turned off.
Are there apps on your phone right now?
I think one of your apps is causing this.
The only way to find out is to delete them all and then add them one by one to see what app maybe causing this.
Especially if you've gone thru 3 iphones already.
When you restored as new - did you sync back your stuff - apps/music or did you restore from backup?

Just got my iPad 2 three days ago and noticed the battery life drops faster than I expected at least compared to the others ones around, please I need to know the cause and how to effect necessary changes that will prolong the battery life as I have gone through the settings which includes turning off the push notifications, reduce brightness and so on but that doesn't seem to help much.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

I cannot unlock the screen rotation of my iPhone 5. I double click on bottom button, recently used icons appear. It slides to the right, but sliding to left doesn't show the rotation icon.

Brand new iPhone 6 battery life dropping very fast and charging even faster
my brand new iPhone 6 that I have just recently started using the day before has a surprisingly bad battery life. whrn first turning on the phone to use the battery life only last 1-2 hours with average use. when the battery died this morning I pluhe'd the phone into charge and the battery is charging very fast already at 25% and only being charging for about 15-20 mins. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this problem and if it is normal or if I have just recieved a faulty iPhone 6?
Can you check:
1. What apps show on settings - general - usage - battery usage?
2. How many apps have permission to use cellular data? -
Itunes 10.5.1, Safari, Quicktime, won't install... windows 7 32 bit... when I try to open any of the software it crash... I need it for my Ipad2 but nothing is working... Thebattery on my iPhone 4s will die when it says it is half charged. It seems like the halfway point is actually end point for the battery.
Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement. -
Battery life drops if you turn second core off
This is very strange. I turned off the second processor core and the battery life dropped about half an hour. How does this make any sense?
I installed the Dev Tools but this option hasn't showed up... ran 'locate prefPane | grep -i proc', but nothing showed up so I suppose it hasn't installed it. Will try reinstalling DT when I get home, I guess.
OT: couple of other MBP troubles, anyone else had these?
1. Blank screen when resuming from sleep - closing lid, putting it back to sleep and opening again a few times seems to fix it, so it's not a kernel panic (as mentioned in some other threads).
2. I obviously have the ubiqitous mooing and hissing noises - cba to read forum posts on those because everyone just says 'open the mirror widget'.
3. My left shift key is bloody hard work, and my little finger is starting to ache now because of it Just doesn't want to be pressed. Might have a look underneath; might not, 'cos I've broken keys before...

I am doing the training video as this is the first time i have used premiere pro cc or any version of it at all. I have downloaded the footage and stills as shown in the video but when i go to double click the beach footage it comes up as black - i can hear the waves but the video isn't playing. Same with the stills, they do not show up when double clicked either, they are just black. Dont know what to do. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
CheersWithout a screen shot, it's hard to know why the footage/stills are black. Double-clicking the asset opens it in the Source monitor, as opposed to the Project monitor, which could be black if the playhead is not set to a portion of the timeline that shows a movie clip or still. Perhaps your Source monitor is closed or hidden for some reason. After double-clicking the asset, select Window > Source Monitor in the main menu. You should be able to select the specific asset (e.g., Shot_01.mp4) and then see it on the screen. Make sure you also select Window > Workspace > Editing so that your panel layout shows the various panels properly.

I am unable to e-mail photos, receive a statement saying that the werever does not recognize my username and or password. I have checked multiple times and these are correct.
The box comes up that says "server does not recognize username or password".
That error message usually will pop up, when there is a conflict between the "From" setting for the mail account you are sending from and the selected outgoing mail server. Probably the outgoing Mail server is receiving a user name and password it does not understand. When the mail returns unsent, do you see the "Try again" panel with the option to select a different outgoing mail server?
If you do not see this panel, change the Mail "Preferences > General" to "If Outgoing server is unavailable: Show a list of alternate servers". This way, you will know, which server Mail is trying to send from.
Have you tried to set "From" pop-up menu to one of your other email addresses? If that works, change your settings in Mail to always send from this address. You can set this option in the Mail "Preferences > Composing: Send New Messages from". I have my "Send New Messages from" set to "iCloud". That is working best for me with iPhoto. -

jitf.setDefaultCloseOperation(JInternalFrame.DISPOSE_ON_CLOSE);but, normally, it is the default behavior.
Have you created your jitf with the "closable" property to "true" ?

I think Apple needs to take another look at the download that just came out for extending the battery life on your phone after upgrading your system to 5.0. My phone is now worse than it was before...

I was sitting here and my phone randomly said incoming call from my friend that is an iphone user. I answered it and nothing was there. He texted me the screen shot on his phone that said I called him, but it showed on my phone as an incoming call. Why?

Since iphone5 6.1.3 upgrade mine has been running hot and totally reduced the battery life. Before I was getting 2days out of it. Now it's half a day ... No new apps and I've been closing down fully all apps. I think something is definitely up with 6.1.3
Are there many others experiencing this?The number of apps that run in the background are very few and far between. An app being in the recently used apps bar or dock means just that for the most part - the app was recently used only and is not running.
Have you powered your iPhone off and on and/or tried a reset which is similar to a computer restart since the update was installed?
Are you accessing an Exchange account with the Mail app on your iPhone? -
I don't know why the battery life has just become so poor. I can listen to 1 song and lose 1/2% battery life. I had all the settings the same as before updating to ISO6 and now it just goes. I did drop it around the same time but I have a stong case so I don't see how this should effect it. If anyone knows how to fix it would be a great help because I used to love iPod but I am very dissapointed.
