Why is the date on the "SPAM" folder 1 month ahead of the present date ?

I have notice that the date stated on the SPAM mail is 1 month ahead of the current day ( e.g : Inbox show date is 29 June, but SPAM folder date is 29 July. Please advice. Is there a bug in the program ?

Then stop trying to use HomeShare and use one of the other options listed in the document from which your question was posted.

Check your Import settings in the Import Panel, i.e. all that might exclude the image type you want to import:
If you did not exclude any file types, and still Aperture will not import, remove your ImageCapture preferences fro your user library:
To remove the image capture preferences:
If Aperture is running, quit Aperture, and log off and on again.
Open your user library from the Finder's Go menu: Hit Command Shift G (⌘⇧G) and then type in: ~/Library/Preferences/ then hit return.
In the window that opens remove "com.apple.ImageCapture.plist"
and look into the subfolder "ByHost": if there are files named com.apple.ImageCapture something .plist remove them too.
then try again.
And if that still does not help, remove the Aperture preferences as well:
~/Library/Preferences/aperture.plist

P.S. in MacOS Lion and later the user library ~/Library is hidden by default.
You can reveal it also from the Finder's "Go" menu:
Finder > Go, then hold down the options ⌥ key, until the Library appears in the drop-down menu, select it and open the Library folder. Then go to the "Preferences".

I can't delete the files in my spam folder

Spam email is existing in the spam folder. I can usually delete them. I click the box next to the spam items ad hit delete. Nothing happens. Is there a setting that has been changed?

Sorry, Firefox doesn't have a spam folder. Please see your webmail service provider for help with that issue.

How can I point the premiere to a blank folder and bring only the files needed for the project

When I start premiere it loads all files from all my photo/video libraries (app 150 gb almost 20,000 photo). I do not want to sort thru all these files for a project. How can I point premiere Elements to a blank folder and get the appropriate media for a project as I

As Steve points out, there are really three programs in the Premiere and Photoshop Elements "suite," PrE, PSE and then Organizer, which links between the two, and is an Asset cataloging program. Because of the commonality of the GUI (Graphic User Interface), there can be confusion as to exactly which program one is in.
If you launch just PrE, and not Organizer (can be launched from within either PrE, or PSE), the only Assets/media that you will see is that, which you have Imported into your Project.
Also, having the Assets for a Project, in a separate folder, or folder structure, is a great way to set up the Project. This article goes into details on one set up method: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4491450#4491450

How to make your folder list appear at the top when opening a finder window

Sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find it in the threads... About the only thing I miss from Windows, is the way file mgr displays list in folders, i.e. starting with folders, then listing the files.
Any way we can do this in Leopard?? The closest I get is by displaying content in list, then sort by type, but obviously my Adobe documents are listed before my folders... I'd really love to get my folders on top.

If you're not comfortable with this, don't do it!
With that out of the way:
- navigate to: /System/Library/CoreServices/
- right-click Finder.app and select Show package contents...
- navigate to: Contents>Resources>English.lproj
- backup InfoPlist.strings
- open the original InfoPlist.strings in a text editor
- locate the line that says:
Code:
"Folder" = "Folder";
- add a space at the start of the second "Folder":

"Folder" = " Folder";
- save the file
- reboot or relaunch Finder
The space in front of "Folder" forces folders to the top of the list when sorting alphabetically by kind.

How do I see the available gb that I have on the bottom of each open folder?

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion from Snow Leapard. Before I could see my avaiable memory and used memory at the bottom of each open folder. However, since the upgrade it does not show anymore. How do I change it back do that it will show?

you can check through activity monitor on how much memory have you got left and you can also click on your apple logo - about this mac - more info - and click on the storage tab to see how much hard drive space you've used up and how much have you got left.

Search problems : Boolean expressions and spam folder

I get about 1000 spam per day that I have to check.
Some of them contains certain keyword that the real emails would never have.
I would like to setup a smart folder or similar that found all emails in the spam folder that contains any of those keywords. I read some blogs etc. that said that spotlight boolean expressions could be used but they do not seem to work.
e.g. "pill OR berry" yields no results at all but when each of the keywords are used on their own they produce 80 or so results each.
Another problem I have is that I can do a manual search in the spam folder by typing in the search field and it yields results. But if I save that as a smart folder it yields no results at all. It seems that the rules do not work on the spam folder.
I then tried to do all this from spotlight in the finder. I found the folder where the spam mailbox emails are stored (called "messages"). I managed to construct a nice search query and save it as a search. But if I delete one of the emails from the finder it still remains in Mail and the next time I start Mail it will be regenerated from somewhere.
Anyone have any insights to provide here?

I had actually missed that preference. Unfortunately it did not help.
Even if I make a new smart mailbox with just one rule (the email must be in the spam folder) it doesnt work. It doesn't matter if I change between any/all either.
I started experimenting with adding a rule saying that the email must not be in any of the other mailboxes but spam. That seemed to work for a bit but as I added more rules, excluding more mailboxes, it eventually broke. I will investigate it a bit more but currently don't have high hopes...

If you aren't receiving the emails on your rescue email accounts (and you've checked the spam folder as well as the inbox, and tried clicking the reset link again), then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Accessing Gmail spam folder via iOS

I think I have an odd situation. I have two Gmail account set up on my iPhone. One of them, I can't locate the Gmail "spam" folder and the other account, I can see it. Both of them are set-up using the Gmail set-up in iOS.
What gives? Ideas or comments?

I have the same issue. Recently changed the set up of my gmail account from exhange to google on iOS7 and now the spam folder has gone on the iPhone...

Subtitles run 17-18 seconds ahead of the audio

Ever since the "improvement" earlier this year with the truly horrible "NEW" BT Vision software update (was it in July?) I've been having problems with subtitled programs - my wife needs the subtitles.
On RECORDED programs many times the subtitles shown on the screen are about 17-18 seconds AHEAD of the audio track.
SOMETIMES turning OFF (standby) the BT Vision box, turning it back on, reselecting the recorded program and selecting "Continue" corrects (synchronises) the subtitles with the audio but ...
...within a few minutes the subtitles "jump" ahead 17-18 seconds AGAIN!
However the majority of times even the "turn off, turn back on" doesn't "fix" the synch problem :-(
This problem NEVER occurred with the "old" BT Vision software (before July).
Has anyone else experienced this problem or is it just a problem with MY black box?
The BT helpline just tell me to "factory reset" the box but that DOESN'T fix it and the wife shouts at me because she loses all the recorded programs every time that I do a reset :-(

Well Drama & Dave are both UKTV channels and presumably would have similar standards for transmission so similar results (problems) are to be expected.
There have been several problems reported with recorded Film4 subtitles on various platforms in the last year.

It is probably a channel provider problem and they need to provide transmissions to a standard that willl allow subtitles to play properly on recordings.Getting them to acknowledge it and to do something will be a challenge.

You actually cannot do anything to your ipad when its locked but look at pictures the time and date, you need to restore it, and if it dosent let you restore, good luck chuck Heres how to restore it: Okay, i only know the itunes way soz, lol. Try to connect your ipad to itunes, if it does let you then you should be able to select the device you have in the corner somewhere, once you do that you should see a screen that looks sort of like your ipads setting, you should have a button that says "Restore" click that and your ipad should be restored. If that dosent work you should try going to your regular office depot or something. Good Luck!
