the otterbox commuter case with verizon wireless store's 3pack of screen protectors - i do not like screen protectors but verizon sells the ones for the charge specifcally and it will
hold me over just fine until defender ships in august or september
either case helps to not accidentally press the power button easily while holding this droid Charge

ps these add bulk to phone i like the commuter case it is way sturdy polycarbonate or whatever STRONG black plastic with port covers except for hdmi that already has a cover built into phone
the defender series will be bulkier

I currently own the original droid and have been researching on my next phone. I have narrowed it down to the Droid Charge or LG Revolution. I leaning towards the Charge. Any suggestion, comments or thoughts.

I have the Droid Charge & I absolutely LOVE this device. My favorite feature is the 4G mobile hotspot. This feature is currently free until 7/6/11 as a promo. You can connect up to 10 devices to the internet, all with 4G speeds. Also, I love the 8MP camera. The pictures I took on vacation are superb! I think that you will truly enjoy owning this device. Currently the prices is $299.99 with a new 2-yr agreement. I'm not sure what will the price will be during the holidays but this is a device that I couldn't wait to have! Thanks WCMack for your posting. I have been able to verify that the Samsung Charge has an onboard memory of 2GBs and a capacity to carry a 32GB memory card. It cannot old a 64GB card. I hope this helps.

no... I'm not one of those people who complain that Verizon and/or Samsung is obligated to provide Gingerbread update.
I do not think they are obligated.

There is a reason you can't access certain apps in market palce durign testing, they are blocked. THE leaks maintain the blocks, the last beta testers builds have more access and that included with aps needign compatibility testing.

Is it normal for someone to have general diffuculty charging an ipad? I see the "not charging" message even when I am using the charger and cord that came in the original box, plugged into a wall socket directly. It is normal for me to plug it in overnight and to see no charge whatsoever the next day. I have never had so much trouble using a friggin charger in my life. It just seems to be exceedingly finicky. What am I missing?

Charging your iPad should not be problematic. It should be an easy thing to do using the charger provided with your iPad connected to a known good wall outlet.
The charging problem you are experiencing is most like caused by:
1. A faulty charger
2. A faulty cable
3. A bad wall outlet
4. A problem in the iPad.
The first three of these are easiest to eliminate. Try a for ends charger and cable. Make absolutely sure your outlet is good. Try other outlets.
If the charger, cable and outlet a proven to be good then the problem lies in the iPad.
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

I have the iPhone 5 and have with 6.0.1 software version. Although I had them when I moved from iPhone 4 to the 5, the latest update has most of my songs on the phone listed in grey (over 95% of them) and I can't play them. They are still listed though.

They are still listed in the iTunes library. When I look in the Summary for the iPhone, it shows Audio as only .16 GB - I have over 5 GB of songs, so what gives?
P.S. When I look at my Playlists most of the songs are greyed out. However, at the bottom of the list there is a cloud icon with a downward facing arrow. When I click on it each song starts to "load" and after a few minutes I have the songs back on in the list. I have to do this to all my playlists (I had over 100) in order to get access to all my songs. Then I did a sync and it happened again!
I use iCloud for documents and some other things (calendar, contact, etc.) but am not aware that I have anything music-wise in the cloud. Any thougnts?

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Which operating system are you using?
Some filters like Filter>Sketch>Stamp need to have two different colors for the Foreground and Background set in the toolbox.
Press the D key to set the default toolbox color swatches to Black and White and then try the Stamp filter.
If your using mac os x 10.9 or 10.10, then some of the filters under Filter>Sketch will crash pse 11
They are Filter>Sketch>Comic, Graphic Novel and Pen and Ink
Otherwise resetting the pse11 editor preferences might resolve the crashing.
Go to Photoshop Elements Editor(Edit)>General, click on Reset Preferences on Next Launch and then restart the pse 11 editor

Syncing the Droid Charge to a MacBook Pro

Just purchased a Droid after previously owing a Blackberry. Always had problems synching my calandar and addresss book with my Blackberry and would like to know of anyone has experienced problems with the Droid.

If you had problems syncing your BlackBerry, just wait for the fun you'll have trying to figure out how to sync the Droid.
The iCal calendar will sync OK, but contacts won't really sync. Best way in my experience is to email the Mac contacts you have to your gmail account, then bring them into the Droid.

Looking to do New For 2. Why is Amazon Droid X 0.01 and Verizon charges $100?

I have my New For 2 and want to upgrade to a smart phone. i have settled on the Droid X. I research and find that Amazon can offer all the services I want through Verizon and the phone for 0.01. Verizon on the other hand wants $100 AFTER my New For 2 discount! Why is this?!?!?!?

Amazon will have you sign a contract that likely prohibits changes to your plan or swapping phones out for a period of up to six months or there is a substantial fee when you do. If you can live with the restrictions of the second contract, then Amazon may be the best deal.
Just read the contract carefully - even changing your minute allowance or adding texting, or deciding to go back to your old phone to save the data fee could result in penalties, so know what you are signing.

TS2771 my ipod used to only charge when it was completely off but now i have to wrap the usb charger around my ipod and it shows the charging but it still doesnt charge

My ipod touch 4th gen used to only charge when it was completely off, but now a week or 2 later i am having to wrap my charger around my ipod to make it start charging but soon enough that still isnt charging.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If nothiing above helped, restore the iPhone to factory settings > Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

Why would they sell a phone that was defective? Why do they not own up that the device did not and has not functioned?
Let me add some other issues I missed.
7) Dials multiple times the same number.
8) Dials the number minutes after trying to call a phone number
9) constantly force closes applications.
10) Battery life is non existent (I have bought at least 8 spare batteries)
11) Slow to respond
Let me just post what I have done.
1) I stopped by a store
2) Called customer service
3) tried to create a question in forum and verizon deleted it.

Can u send an URGENT text message on the Droid Charge???

I been trying to figure out how to send an urgent text message. I've had the phone since lst November and seems all I can do is send regualr text messages. How can u send an urgent text message so that it grabs the recipients attention to respond as soon as possible. Like for example, that person ur sending the message to is in a situation where they cant recieve phone calls, so u gotta text them instead and its an urgent matter, so ur wanna to send an urgent text message that grabd their attention immediately. don't know aside from calling someone. if they are unable to receive phone calls, then they are probably unable to receive texts. you could sending them an e-mail - perhaps they have a data signal?
