No need to post something more than once.
The first thing I would do is to uninstall and reinstall. If you have any products from Norton/Symantec, disable those before reinstalling. You can turn them back on again afterwards.

If you are having issues turning on Always Allow for cookies in Safari on your iPad, you may want to check to make sure that you don't have Private Browsing enabled, as noted in the following article:

All you need to do is go to the iTunes store, and then go to purchased in the right side of iTunes store. It is under the quick links. Then you will be able to download the past purchases there.

Why is the "open with" option always grayed out when I click on a file link?

For example, when accessing an email account with firefox and I click on an .mp3 attachment the "open with" choice is always grayed out. This issue is not exclusive to email attachments rather all file links that I click on any site give me the same result. I am using MAC OS X Mavericks.
How can I restore the "open with" selection?

You can try rename (or delete) the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.

When I sign in with my apple ID and then click next, it grays out the phone number and i'm unable to use it. I don't want to use my email but it won't let me have access to my phone number. Please Help! Thanks.

OK, try this:
Sign back out of Messages and reset the phone (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, go back into Messages and sign back in again, and go through the prompts.
Once you are done, see if your phone number is checked off. It will be greyed out:

Why is the Extract panel in Dreamweaver grayed out?

I have assets synced in to the Cloud, but when I try to use the Extract panel in Dreamweaver it's grayed out.
Also, the Sync Settings Now button is grayed out.

With the latest release DW CC 2014.1.1, Extract panel will be grayed out till some document is open in DW. Open any document and Extract will be available for you.

Hi. I am having trouble burning songs that I have purchased from the itunes store onto a CD for my own personal use in my car. Why is the ping icon next to some of the songs I purchase,When I try to burn these songs I am told by a pop up that these songs can't be found, but they are in my itunes music list.I don't understand. This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

I purchased and downloaded Photoshop Elements 13, but the installer fails to initialise. How do I get it to work?

I have Photoshop Elements 10 and Premier Elements 10 installed on my PC. Both were installed from discs that I bought a few years ago. I recently purchased the upgrade (by download) for both applications to version 13. In accordance with the (scant) instructions received by email, I downloaded the four files required from the Adobe site. I subsequently ran the .exe files, which in turn created directories on my PC, including set-up.exe files for both applications. When I run the setup files, I get an error message stating that the installer failed to initialise. The error message advised me to download the Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. That tool does not exist. I then sought assistance from the Abobe support site, initially using the hyperlink suggestions, which were of no use, then using the chat function. The operator kept trying to get me to do something with something called 'Creative Cloud'; which I am not familiar with, and do not use. He then instructed me to download and run a CS5 cleaner tool; however, none of the choices offered by that tool include my issue, or either Photoshop Elements or Premier Elements. I am reluctant to uninstall version 10 of the programs in case I end up losing the lot and therefore wasting even more money than the purchase price for this upgrade.
All I want to do is upgrade my two applications from version 10 to version 13. I have paid the requisite fee but it clearly does not work. I appear to have totally wasted my money. Can anyone please tell me how to get it to work? I do not want to have anything to do with the so-called ‘Creative Cloud’ as I have no idea what it is, and I do not want to lose what I already have (and have paid for previously).
I have tried for a few days to access the so-called 24/7 chat assistance but appeared to have been locked out as every time I try to access it, I get a message that the (24/7) chat is closed. Adobe has taken my money for a product that does not work, and also refuse to help me fix it.
I am very frustrated with a product I bought that does not work, and a 24/7 support service that clearly is not 24/7, and which refuses to assist me. Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to get this to work? Rod.

While I know there are phones that can do this, they really are not powered "off" - they are more in a hybernation state. However, the iPhone has never worked that way. Off on an iPhone means truly powered off - nothing is still running so there is no minimal function left ticking away to wake up the phone and sound the alarm.

I am having a problem uploading photos to basically every place but Facebook. I have contacted these sites and they give instruction on how to do it but the "choose file" button is grayed out on some, OR it says, "if your device doesn't have the capability to upload send your pictures to us. I am assuming u can't upload pictures with iPad 2? Or is it just me.....more than one site doing this, is there a setting somewhere?

Enhanced Podcast Feature option grayed out, Displays URL

Does anyone know why the option Displays URL is grayed out all the time when creating an enhanced podcast?
I have tried adding valid URL's but the option is never available and when the podcast is generated no URL's are shown or available to click on.
This makes enhanced podcasts useless and hence iLife a pointless upgrade for me, if it dont work, it DONT work!
Is this me or have Apple released this without it working? Seems strange as there are pics of this option all over the iLife website.

Firstly, I am a fool! hahahaha
Secondly, If you have a 15" PowerBook you maybe don't notice that the last box you can see actually says "URL Title" and not just "URL"!!!
So enter a title, scroll right a bit and enter the URL.
Everything will then work ok!
This may be of help to some other poor idiot that has done the same thing as me!

While installing flashplayer the installation manager box is grayed out after clicking on run. My system is Windows 7 64bit and ie 11.

I am not able to play any videos in ie 11 and I am not able to install flash player.
So far I have uninstalled prior installation of flash player. When I visit get adobe flash player sight with ie 11 whole sight box is grayed out. so I tried to download the flash player for ie 11 with chrome and firefox. In both cases after running .exe file downloaded and saved on pc the flashplayer installation manger comes up for permissions. but after clicking run, it is grayed out and nothing further happens. I will appreciate any help in getting this installed.
I have other laptop with Windows 7 professional and ie 11. there is no problem on playing videos in ie11 in this laptop. so why do I have problem in this pc? Only difference is here I have Windows 7 Home premium. Java version 32 and 64 bit are installed and enabled. Silverlight is enabled and adobe shockwave player is enabled, Active x control are disabled. software rendering box is also checked in the advanced tab of ie 11.

On a software name Appfresh, it alerted me to update my MBPr 15 inches running latest OSX 10.8.2, with Chinese Word List Update 1.2. When I clicked on Software Pdate, app Store return No update available.
My system have Chinese Word List Update 1.0 installed, and on October 5, 2012, Chinese Word List Update 1.1 was released by Apple, as alerted through AppFresh. However, this update never get updated on m system. I have to manually download chinesewordlistupdate.pkg from reviews.cnet.com/macfixit and install it manually. By doing so, I have Chinese Word List Update 1.1 on my system.
The same problem occurred again today on November 5, 2012, where Chinese Word List Update is released by Apple. again, it fail to update from Software Update menu.
Can you please:
1. Explain why this problem occurred. This is so annoying.
2. Advise me how can I get this Chinese Word List Date to update to version 1.2. Can you please send me the chinesewordlistupdate.pkg for version 1,2 so that I can manually install it on my system?
3. How can I prevent similar problem with he subsequent version?
