Why is the filler content in the Templates in Pages 09' in Spanish?

Well, I had this problem with my old, Mid-2011 27" iMac. I purchased and downloaded Pages 09' from the Mac App Store. Everything is fine, until I go into my templates when the application opens. If I select anything other than a blank, standard page, all of the filler content is in Spanish. For example, whenever I open up a resume template, the title, and some of the sub titles and sections are in English, BUT, the content in the different sections is in Spanish. I don't know what's going on here. I first incountered this problem when I had my Mid-2011 iMac, and now that I received my Late-2012 iMac, and went into my App Store, and then to my purchases, and downloaded all my apps that I downlaoded on the other computer. So what do you know, again, I'm having the same problem with the filler content in Pages 09' being in spanish..
I would upload a screen capture of the window, but for some reason I am having trouble uploading them to this forum. Also, I want to let everyone know that this computer hasn't been brought to any other countries, much less used in them. I mention that because an Apple rep suggested that, but I told him (when I had a Mid-2011, that it was a desktop and I've never brought it out of the country. I've gone through everything in the menus and settings and I can not find a single thing that looks like it would help me out. Is there something stupid that I am missing?

I don't speak Latin either, doesn't mean I don't recognise it or mistake it for Spanish.
Latin is a large part of English, Science and Mathematics and as such I find it difficult to believe you did not encounter it at some point in your education.
Spanish is actually spoken by more people in the world than English, which is only the 3rd most spoken language. Given its wide spread use, particularly in America, I am amazed that you can not identify that even though you may not speak it either.
What fascinates me most of all is this has all eluded you for years. You didn't just click in the text to see what happens, nor look up Pages Help or the UserGuide nor Apple tutorial videos all under the Help menu.
You are not alone, we get this quite frequently and yours in not the worst wild guess at the apparently quite intimidating "foreign language". The reason that you can neither identify what it it is and are so intimidated is summed up in the 'not interested': "I can't read that crap".

Apple has a forum for iWork. You would be better off posting questions about Pages in that forum rather than the Leopard forum.

I have created a dynamic page and assigned a template to it. When I call the dynamic page using the 'show' procedure from a form, I do not see the template.
Why is the template not being used ? How can I get the template working when I call the dynamic page ?
I even tried to show the page from the dynamic page's manage components tab and there is same problem. Template is not being used.

You can alter the generated package body to include the following function in the header and footer sections.
Header:

The scary language is Latin, quotes from Cicero to be precise.
It is Placeholder Text designed to show the appearance and layout of the document.
You click in it, something most people try, and it is selected. You then type to replace it.

Why has the "Reload current page" control been moved to the navigation bar Firefox 29? I would like to be able to place it where I had it in Firefox 28.

After getting the Firefox 29 download I tried to rearrange my buttons\controls to where I was used to having them in Firefox 28 and prior. I noticed, in particular, that the "Reload current page" control is no longer available to be set in front of the navigation bar where I've had it for years now. The reason I chose Firefox in the first place was because I could customize it to my liking. I know you can simply right click and "Reload" the tab or just get used to going to the end (right side) of the navigation bar but that defeats the purpose completely for me.
Here's an analogy; Ford decides they will now replace current model cars in the US with British standard style vehicles. Every car sold by Ford will now be right-hand steer. While this may seem like a "no biggy" to some, others, especially those of us who are inclined to drive standard transmission vehicles, may be a bit resistant to that change. Not sure if I successfully made my point or not but hopefully I did.
Initially I thought I'd start by "Has someone fallen and hit their head?' or "Did Steve Ballmer suddenly take over Mozilla, in particular the build of Firefox 29, because this one smells like a Windows 8 (aka the aroma of a full sewer tank on a hot day)?" It is understood that updates are required and as an IT guy, I've been around for many a faux pas where the kinks just need to be worked out. They happen. Maybe some consideration will be made with Firefox 30 to those of us in the states that are used to left-hand steer vehicles.
I may be missing something here, and will gladly fall on my sword if that is the case, but there is no indication that I've seen from the Mozilla sight that the "Reload current page" control can be manipulated in any way as of Firefox 29. On the bright side, I now have a good reason to go back and review some of the browsers I discounted back in the day when I decided to go with Firefox.

Why is the new tabs page not loading?

My firefox is supposedly up to date but the new tabs page isn't loading nor is the icon in the corner coming up so I can turn it on.

Why does the Firefox home page keep telling me I'm up to date when I'm not?

The Firefox home page, found at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/ or by redirection from www.mozilla.com or www.firefox.com, tells me my version of Firefox is up to date. It isn't.
I'm currently running 11.0 (and should have 12.0) but this has been happening for quite some time now; that page just seems to always say you're up to date, no matter what.

Why is the template binding not refreshing?

I made this itemtemplate for a combobox:

The problem is the line. It seems to only get set in the combobox's main text ONCE. On the first SelectedItem change. After that, its length is still that of the first item.
In the popup listbox, it is fine. Each item has a different length line.
Is there something I can do so that the combobox text has a line through the actual characters?

I spent some time looking at this and I'm afraid I have nothing but bad news.

As you can see, I'm obtaining a reference to the line object.
When I then:
explicitly updatesource on the binding, no effect.
debug writeline X2 - gives correct length, matching the item but not what you see in the selection.
I also tried invalidating and forcing arrange and measure and all that lark on the combo.
No joy.
This one is the weirdest.
If you set visibility to collapsed on the line you still see the "wrong" line visible in the selection part of the combo.
Despite the fact that the item in the combo has no line.
Once that thing gets a line, it's keeping hold of it.
My conclusion is that this is a bug.
I would guess your chances of getting it fixed for Silverlight 4 are vanishingly slim though.
A work round I can think of, would be to maybe draw the text and image onto a bitmap.
Present those in the combo.
If your line visibility is actually dynamic that's not going to work.

It's pseudo-latin filler text and can't changed. You need to create you own english content to replace the filler.

I needed to remove some apps why dident the apps on page 3 move over page 2 ??????

I just had to delete some of unimportant apps because I needed the space, why won't apps from the other pages slide over in the voids instead of leaving me with pages with what looks like swiss cheese ?????

That's how it is.
For example, I hide some bundled apps I don't want or need on page 4 of my menus. And i can do that because I can have a void.

DBCA doesn't save character set information in the template!!

I have found a problem using the DBCA when creating a template with a database character set of AL32UTF8.
When I create a database using the aforementioned template from the commandline (dbca -silent) it reverts the character set to WE8ISO8859P1.
If I try and alter the character set after creation using:
ALTER DATABASE CHARACTER SET AL32UTF8;
it complains that tis cannot be done, so I must set this in the template.
Am I missing something obvious? Why is this information not being stored in the .dbc file?

Well, having patched the template xml file i then had to do:
dbca -silent -createDatabase -templateName advisor.dbc -gdbName advisor.invocom -sid advisor -sysPassword j3r3m1aha -continueOnNonFatalErrors false
apparently the .dbc is required on the template name
However.....
NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE
NLS_DATE_FORMAT
NLS_LANGUAGE
NLS_TERRITORY
NLS_ISO_CURRENCY
are not set in the template either...why is the template missing so much stuff that i thought i had configured?
