Why is the iCloud time one hour behind Exchange?

When I'm sending calendar invites from my Outlook 2010 on Exchange 2003 Central European Time to an iCloud Account, the invite appaers in the iCloud account one hour too early.
Both calendar are set to Berlin/Amsterdam timezone.
Daylight savings are managed on both systems automatically.
It does not matter if I receive the invitation on my iPhone, or directly in iCloud.com website. It appears all the time one hour too early.
any ideas?
here is the meeting.ics sent by Outlook to the iCloud account:

  • A Verizon cellphone tower in my area is feeding multiple Verizon Customers / Devices with the incorrect time (one hour behind) when we are in range of this tower

A Verizon cellphone tower in my area is feeding multiple Verizon Customers / Devices with the incorrect time (one hour behind) when we are in range of this tower (in this specific area).   Our phones show the correct time in other areas.   Is there a way to fix or report this?

The zip code that this is occurring in is: 87102
    Specifically when I am at
    1001 Woodward Pl NE
    Albuquerque, NM 87102
Upon further investigation, it is happening to anyone with a Verizon handset, regardless of specific device.  I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and my co-worker has a Motorola Droid Turbo and we are both having the issue.  Anyone on a different carrier (T-Mobile, AT&T) is fine, and is not experiencing this issue.
It actually looks like the cell tower is feeding us the correct time, but its like it forgot daylight savings happened.  So it is feeding us the incorrect time zone/day light savings information.
When I goto Settings -> Date and Time on my Android device,  I have both "Automatic date and time" and "Automatic time zone" checked.
the "Automatic timezone" it is pulling from the Verizon cell tower is "Mountain -7".   It is correct that we are in the "Mountain" timezone, but we are currently "Mountain -6" (also known as day light savings).   So the Cell Tower things it MST when it should be MST DST
When I uncheck "Automatic time zone" and select my own, suddenly it lets me select "Mountain -6" and doesn't even give me the option of "Mountain -7".
So in conclusion, some cell tower in the area of zip code 87102 forgot that daylight savings ever happened, and is telling cellphones they are in the "Mountain -7" timezone, instead of the correct current timezone of "Mountain -6 DST"
Edit: Oh, sorry, and to answer your question, it began happening about 3 weeks ago.  We started noticing around March 25th, maybe a little after that.

  • Server time one hour behind

Running CF 7 on a Fedora Core Linux system that has the
system level time zone updates applied. A shell command of 'date'
returns the correct date and time.
However, we have some CF services and webpages that rely on
    times and
#timeFormat(now(), "short")# returns the time one hour
    behind.
I'm sure it has something to do with the new daylight savings
time changes ... but as I mentioned above, I have those applied to
the server and they are working correctly. Is there something that
needs to be patched to the CF server?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated - thank you.
    Alan

Believe I found the issue .. this tech note indicates that
the JVM needs to be updated for CF to get the correct daylight
    savings time

  • Setting the server time one hour back. Possible issues?

I need to set the server time one hour back, since the date does not correspond to a standard time switch, I believe I may have problems with flashback querys?, maybe some audit problems? any other issues I am missing?
Would I need to shut down the instance?
    Thank you,

  • Jvm time 1 hour behind system time

    hi
    I'm running java on hp-ux 11.11
since the system time has changed to dst, the java applications are still showing the old time (1 hour behind)
    for example
    now.get(Calendar.YEAR)+"/"+now.get(Calendar.MONTH)+"/"+now.get(Calendar.DATE)+" "+now.get(Calendar.HOUR)+":"+now.get(Calendar.MINUTE)+":"+now.get(Calendar.SECOND)+":"+now.get(Calendar. MILLISECOND)
    will give the output
    2005/7/16 1:28:58:905
and the tcsh date command will give the output
    Tue Aug 16 13:28:58 IDT 2005
any ideas on how to synchronize the jvm time with system time?
    thanks
    Yiftah

I can only confirm that's its true for me too. I was ok on Win98 but shows up on WinXP with summer time (during winter time it was ok. )

We have 30 ipads at our school and it is great.  We are about 850 student on my school and everyone are using the ipads. One hour at the time. (we have a booking system.)
I teach music and are using Garageband. I need to find away were my students that are working on a project can export the files and save them somewhere, so when they 7 days later open Garage band can import there song with all the correct  midi-tracks. When I export the song to Icloud the song become an Mp4 file (I think).  And I can import the files via Icloude.
This is because too many times the song has been sabotages during the week
    Dan Sweden

    Dan,
your students could store their projects in iCloud, only you would continously have to change the AppleIDs of the iPads, so each student could store the songs with their own AppleID.  I don't think this will be feasable.
The other possibility would be to share the projects to iTunes and to download them to iTunes  on a Mac at the end of each lesson. Does your school have Macs? This will not work with PCs.
See this link:  GarageBand for iPad: Get answers fast http://help.apple.com/garageband/ipad/1.2/index.html#chsec12c387
Look at the section "Share GarageBand songs",
Send a GarageBand song to iTunes:
    -- Léonie

  • Item.start.getAsync value is one hour behind the appointment

I'm guessing this might be a time zone issue but that really makes no sense.
I have an Outlook appointment open and my app installed. But when I execute:
    Office.context.mailbox.item.start.getAsync(function (result) {
    var time = result.value
the value of result.value is exactly one hour behind the actual value in the appointment. Does the API get the actual value in the appointment or does it go behind the scenes to exchange to get it?  Because if it's supposed to just get the value from
the appointment, it's getting it one hour behind.
does it do any manipulation of the date or time when it gets it? if so, how do I stop it?

    Hi,
I afraid I cannot reproduce you issue at my side, what’s the time zone of yours?

Kindly inform any email id or toll free number to contact apple for your below answer, Mr.King_Penguin
About receiving my credit card being debited for Free App Store Application downloads,
It should be within a few days, but it might vary a bit by bank/provider :
I am in India, if the bank don't refunds , what to do?
Rajagopal.pngr :-  It is only a holding charge, it is not a permanent charge. If it isn't refunded within a few days or so (and it quite possibly won't be over a weekend) then you can query the charge with Apple.

I think it is just a bug, but it in very frustrating. I was using just now for about an hour and suddenly the correct artwork appeared for what was playing....but then all went wrong again!!
Apple, please, please issue a patch for this. It surely cannot be too complicated to correct.

Why is the charging time on the new iPad so long? It is 3 times as long as iPad 2.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery, so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night.
     Cheers, Tom

I Have the same issue on a brand new iPad mini 2. My battery is only lasting up to 5 hours. I went on chat with Apple last night and they said my battery is fine and its a Safari issue. I'm literally losing 1% every 3-4 minutes. I tried recalibrating my battery, signing out of iCloud, shutting off all locations, turning off background app refresh, restoring network settings, restoring all, and finally restoring from iTunes with no luck. This is just awful. I got this iPad so I could use it on my long flight for a trip I have coming up, and unfortunately, it's not going to last that long, plus I'm concerned about how many times i will be recharging my battery because of this since battery's do have a life cycle dependent on the number of charges. This is frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP and addressed by Apple.
By the way, Apple told me to bring my device to the Apple Store because it's still under warranty. That's great and all, but I'm going to waste my time if there is no fix for this issue.
Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.

  • Why is the boot time on my mac pro 2010 slower than my 2010 core 2 duo 13 mbp?

Why is the boot time on my mac pro with clean install of lion around 34 sec on my mac pro 2010 2.8 quad core, when it is only around 17 sec on my 13 mbp 2.67 core 2 duo?
The mac pro uses around 13 seconds from i hit the power button til i hear the chime and see the grey screen.
Is it because it uses time to find the wireless keyboard, trackpad and cinema display?
Mac pro has 16 gb ram and 240 gb ocz agility 3 ssd, macbook pro has a intel 120 gb ssd (320 i think) and 8 gb of ram, so the mac pro has more umpf....

Well it might take a little longer since POST (power-on self test) needs to check more memory.
But try doing a smc and pram reset and see if that helps.
