Why is the ios5 software giving me a server time out error when I have just waited 35 mins to download the file

I have just spent over an hour waiting for the Itunes software to download the new ios5 software and it fails right at the end as a server timeout error.
WHY DO WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH ITUNES?? WHY CAN'T THE SOFTWARE BE PUT UP ON THE SUPPORT PAGES.THIS IS NOT A NEW PROBLEM AS I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANY UPGRADES FOR THE PAST YEAR ON MY PHONE AND IPAD

This sounds like an ISP issue of some type on your end.
The Apple servers have been absolutely slammed and have been timing out, but certainly not for the past year.
Do you have an Apple Store nearby at which you can try downloading upgrades?

    Hi
    Thanks for fast response.
These are the steps what i have did.
    1. I have created a new OnHandAvailaibility Page in the Inventory.in the JDeveloper
2.The page was running fine in the JDeveloper with no errors
3 I have to migrate it to server to run the same page inside the server
4.What i did was i have made a zip by going in to particular path
    C:\JDeveloper\jdevhome\jdev\myclasses\oracle\apps\inv
    for xxxinvavail folder
5.I have kept this file in the $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/inv/
6 After that i have Unzipped those files
now the directory path in the server is $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/inv/xxxinvavail/server
    and $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/inv/xxxinvavail/webui
where it contains all the EO,s,Vo,s and AM and controller classes and xml files for that in their respective folders
7.my PG files are there in the following path
    C:\JDeveloper\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\inv\webui
    8. After that i have went to C:\JDeveloper\jdevbin\jdev\bin this path and used
import C:\JDev\jdeveloper\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\inv\xxxinvavail\webui\ImedSubDetailsRN.xml -username apps -password apps -rootdir C:\JDev\jdeveloper\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\inv\xxxinvavail\webui -rootPackage /oracle/apps/inv -dbconnection "(description = (address_list =
    (address = (community = tcp.world)(protocol = tcp) (host = train.cogentit.com)(port = 1521)))(connect_data = (sid = erptst)))"
It ran succesfully but i dont know whether it is the correct way of running import command or can any one suggest me what i have to do from here.
If i have to run XMLimporter from where i have to go and run that command
How the pages are loaded in to the mds for their respective top by creating the same directory structure
9 Here my main page is linked with other page and i am passing parameters through url for going to the next page and also it consists of three LOV regions
10Can you tell me it is enough to load main page in to the server or i have to load all the RN AND PG in to the server by using XMLImporter.
Can any one tell me the steps what i have to follow from here

  • I have not been able to redeem my iTunes gift card in the iTunes store.  I have received teh same error message that the store is not available at this time.  It has been over 24 hours.  I downloaded the software yesterday as well.

Has the iTunes Store really been unavailable for the past 24 hurs?  This is the message I keep receiving when trying to redeem a gift card.

Far out I got a iTunes Card Code and it redeemed just fine! If you want one go to freeitunesforever|d●t| com

  • Mail (and other mail apps) suddenly giving server time-out error.

...though browser, webmail, iPhone and iPad connections via same router (whether wifi or powerline) are fine. Turning firewall off and disabling anti-virus makes no difference, so it looks like e-mail protocol. ISP has checked their end and no issues. A local expert doesn't know where to turn next - can anyone assist, as I need to have my regular e-mail client working to run my business.
Early 2008 iMac running Mountain Lion regularly updated, 4GB RAM.
    Thanks,
    Crispin

  • Time out error while running the FR report on Workspace

    Hi,
We are working on Hyperion system 9.3.1 financial reporting with Essbase as a data source.
We have built a report, which has many computation, conditional formatting, suppression condtion.Report has around 100 columns.
Now when we are try to open this report on workspace, report is throwing the "Server time out" error meassage. error meassage is-
"The requested item could not be loaded by thr proxy. Timed out".
Reports are opening fine with less data or if essbase cube doesn't have any data.
Please suggest us on this issue. Do we need to set any setting at Essbase level or workspace level or any other way.
    Any help will be appriciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mohit Jain

I would suggest by saying that 100 columns seems quite a lot, you mention there are many computation columns, these should be pushed back onto the server to calculate.
We have also experienced issues where reports we pulling back lots of columns that were dynamically calculated.
To narrow down the actual problem you can try the following, the see if the report runs with the change, if not continue with the next steps:
    - remove all formatting from the spreadsheet;
    - remove all calculations from the spreadsheet;
    - see if the report can be built more efficiently, by moving items to Grid POV or using same as, or reordering dimensions in inverse outline order;
If it still doesn't run, then try removing columns until it can run.
    Cheers, Iain

Ive just updated my iPhone4 to the IOS5 software and i have lost all my apps? why? and how can i get them back?

When an iPhone updates, it wipes the whole device clean and then reinstalls the software and then the backup. Obviously you didn't create/couldn't create a backup either via iCloud or iTunes. You can get your apps back when you go to App Store>Updates>Purchased and download the apps you want.

i have an iphone 4 and after updating it to the ios5 software, it will not allow me to activate nor allow me to leave the setup page. i plugged it into itunes and it is stuck there too... i cannot even restore it. does anyone know what to do?

I have had this same issue but thankfully fixed it. Follow he steps below:
Sync your iPhone with you iTunes therefore your info is backed up. Unplug your phone.
Go to Settings > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
Once your phone has reset and come back on answer the question until it asks if you want to back up from itunes Click this then plug your phone in.
After everything has sync'd back to your phone everything should work fine.
    Hope this helps.

I upgraded my 3gs to the iOS5 software, but it keeps telling me on my iphone and my itunes that it cannot activate my iphone! Then my iTunes said there is no SIM card installed. HELP! I can't seem to even restore, which is what I was told to do by the Apple Store.

    Hi there,
if your phone has ever been replaced by Apple (within or outside of warranty), have Apple check their records to which carrier your iPhone (its IMEI number) is currently locked to.
If it is locked to any other than the carrier you have your SIM-card from, ask the folks at Apple to have your phone's lock adjusted to your carrier. Once that is done, there is a good chance that your phone will work again.
    Hope this helps,
    Chris

  • Why won't my iMac print consistantly to my compatible HP 6500A? I've checked for updates and downloaded the lasted software...still can't print. All my other Mac devices find the printer but the iMac is hit and miss. I'm operating the Mac OS X Lion 10.7.

When you say hit and miss do you mean sometimes you print a whole document with no problems, or do you mean each document has problems? This is from HP's website for your printer:
Your sig says 10.6.7 but your message says 10.7. So if it's really Lion, this printer isn't officially supported. Elsewhere on HP's site it says updated drivers will be available on your Mac via Software Update. Have you run that recently?

.... t it is unlikely that someone with a 2G 32 gb iPod would think that they had a 3G, because Apple stopped selling the 2G 32g iPod when the 3G came out.
If only that were true! There have even been cases (in these discussion pages) of people believing they have a 4th gen Touch but it turns out it was a 2nd gen Touch.

Yea I would have to say wait until the release of IOS 5, because the phone will probably run it a lot smoother. I mean go ahead and buy the Iphone 4 if you are dying to have it, because you can just update it which is no big deal at all, but it would be the smarter thing to wait for the new updates.
And the networ issue as far as I am aware is fixed on the Verizon iPhones, so it really depends on which service you have.
    - correct me if i am wrong
Have to disagree here, Apple have not even announced an iphone 5, it is pointless to speculate that we will see one or not see one until Apple actually releases a statement. ios was built and tested on the iphone 4 so there will not be any slowdown or laggyness compared to a phone that has not been released yet.
If we are advising potential apple product buyers then we should not be putting them off buying a iphone 4 on speculations alone. Just because apple have for the last few years released an iphone every june/july does not mean then have to stick to this approach.
Apple have not issued any statement regarding an iphone 5, until this time it does not exist, only in heresay on the internet.
Any one looking to get an iphone 4, to you i would say waiting until ios 5 is released is a personal choice, no matter if you wait or not you will be able to update via itunes. One way or another in the future you will have to do an ios update via itunes whether this is the 5.0 software or 5,2,1.
Please note that Apple are very closed mouthed about new hardware releases and potentially a new iphone could be round the corner, however there is no evidence to suggerst this, i.e Apple have not even mentioned an iphone 5 this year anything you hear towards the contrary is media spin thus far and speculation.
ios 5 was built and tested to work seamlessly on iphone 4, the beta software released to developers is being tested on iphone 4. Please do not listen to people telling you that the iphone 4 will not run this ios as well as a phone that does not exist yet. When iphone 5 launches it will most likely have dual processors and not until its launch will the next gen apps start appearing.

I just updated the new software and now my app store will not work I have shut it down and opened up again and nothing just a blank white page ?

    I'm having a similar problem.
New iPad with iOS6 just downloaded.
I cannot purchase any new items from the new Apple Store now!
It keeps asking me to fill in CC details, asking for security number, but stays red when i fill in the 3 numerals and when I click done I get a Time Out message.
    This is not good Apple!!
Looks as if I will have to use my iPad One to purchase from the Apple Store.

You will need to have the serial number to activate the products. Please have then handy & also check the compatibility of the operating systems.
