Why is the "iPhone" tag no longer working in My Contacts, just "mobile"?

I went into My Contacts to add a number and to add some new contacts. It no longer gives me the option to tag a phone as "iPhone". It only gives you the option of "mobile".
Older contacts that I created in the past have the tag of "iPhone", but I can find no way to change it on the new contacts.
Does anyone know why or how I can fix it?

Mavericks will be fine- just don't update Pages, Numbers, or Keynote to the new versions.
Pages 4.3 should still be in an iWorks folder within your Applications folder when you upgrade to Mavericks (which IS actually an upgrade, unlike the iWorks apps).

Still it could not find the data network.it searches for voice network instantly and works too. but even full voice network available, there is no data network.when i restart the phone it could find data network.

Because they are discontinuing this phone...you can get the iPhone 4S, 5C, or 5S now. (Depending on your country).

I upgraded to Firefox 4 and suddenly my mouse scroll no longer works. It works fine for other programs and IE also Chrome, just not Firefox 4. How do I fix this? If this cannot be fixed, how can resort back to the old version?

Spoke too soon. It worked fine for 10 minutes then died again. Closed and re-opened Firefox and it's working again. If this keeps up I will end up back with Chrome or IE. Way too inconvenient for me to stay with a browser and lose this functionality.

Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:

I'm getting so tired of having that darn 'block pop-up windows' checked..and it doesn't do a darn thing. Why am I getting garbage sites when I'm going to my normal browsing sites? (e.g. yahoo mail, etc)
I now get this weird MacVx garbage showing up everywhere and a bunch of these error messages which are annoying (I also have a Mac by the way)...it mentions 'my i.p. address' which is not correct (thank god), and it must think I'm an idiot...So....any way to resolve this before I trash my favorite browser forever???

Why does the sort feature no longer work in numbers for maverick since the latest upsates?

The problem is that your Flash Player is not current. Check this to see what the current version is (vs what you have) and here to get the latest version. There is supposed to be a major security issue in the version you've got so Apple is blocking its use. In any case, don't get Flash Player from anywhere except Adobe.

I have had a 3GS for 2+ years. After upgrading to IOS 4 (now 4.3.5) I began having problems. In the past week, my screen went to the itunes logo and USB cable twice -- unprovoked -- just found it sitting there like that! You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

Lightroom: Why does auto white balance no longer work after changing the camera calibration profile?

I'm using NEF raw files from Nikon.
Lets say for example I import a NEF file into Lightroom (v4) and click on 'auto' for white balance. The white balance in the image is adjusted correctly (somewhat). However, if I then change the camera profile (in the camera calibration section) from 'adobe standard' to 'camera standard' then the white balance in the image becomes very wrong. I then have to set the white balance back to 'as shot' and correct it manually instead.
Why would 'auto white balance' no longer work just because I change the profile from 'adobe standard' to 'camera standard'?
Any ideas?

A reply to similar question (Q & As , in product page Apple Store) says:
"...dissable the internal reader hardware from devices setup. Then plug the external usb superdrive and that's it." Answered by Enrique T from Lima Oct 25 2013.
If you can locate an external Apple USB 'Air" superdrive for earlier model MacBook Air, that should work. The newer one for the Air is the same as for iMac, now.
You may be able to use other brands of external USB optical drive with your older intel-based iMac, as some of them function capably. A few should also be able to see system discs or other bootable utilities on DVD.
