I'm used to the the music and videos being together with the ipod app and now after updating my phone the ipod app is split. Why is tit hat way?

You're right, it has been that way for a long time. I've never bothered reporting it as a bug since it's simple enough to deal with, but reporting it would be a reasonable thing to do.

Why is the hard disk split into two data partitions (C:Vista and E:Data)?

I've just switched on a new A200-1V0 and found that the disk space is split into two equal sized partitions "C:Vista" and "E:Data" (and a small EISA one).
WHY? What is the logic and purpose? It's not even as if the the C:Vista partition is smaller and intended solely for "system" stuff as the the "Users" (User Documents) root is on it too.
Is this the default for Vista (my first use of it), if not, who said Toshiba could do this without asking me?

Please do not be upset because there is no reason for that. You have bought new product with factory settings. Toshiba and any other hardware manufacturer do not know each customer personally and, unfortunately, it was not possible to ask YOU how to configure YOUR notebook.
Because of that there is Product Recovery media that allows you to configure HDD according to your wishes and needs.
Please use this DVD and install OS how you want to have it. When recovery procedure starts you will see SETUP option on the right side. Click on it and choose the right option.
Install OS again and enjoy your life. I really do not have time to write about vantages of two partitions because it is basic stuff and you probably do not want to loose your time reading this.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why do the bookmark icons return to default (the blue bubbles) when i clear history? This is using os x mavericks.
OS X Snow Leopard did not do this. It retained the site icon next to my bookmarks.

The webpageicons database may be corrupted. It can happen.
Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Safari/WebpageIcons.db
Click Go then move the WebpageIcons.db file to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari. It may take a day or two for webpageicons to re populate.

How can I have the iPod icon appear on the source menu when I plug it in? I've had the iPod for two months and everytime I plug the iPod into the computer, the icon automatically appears in the source icon and the songs start to update. But I tried today, and no icon at all. I haven't done anything different to the computer either. How can I update my iPod?

Look for these programs in Task Manager > Processes tab
click the box to show processes from all users
Click on "Image Name" to sort alphabetically
ItunesHelper.exe - should be running under your account
iPodService.exe - should be running under SYSTEM account
iTunes.exe - should be running under your account

When I connect (via windows computer) to Itunes with usb cord the Ipod icon shows, but the only function you can do is eject. When its in the upper right hand corner and you click on it all you get is a done button, when it's in the side bar right click and your only option is eject, left click has no effect. If I go to "file">devices it's as if there are no devices connected.
I purchased a song with Itunes on the Ipod itself, and it transferred to my library on the computer automatically .
I have an Iphone 5 and a nano that are still functioning with Itunes thru computer so I'm thinking the issue is with the Ipod touch. I've reset it several times, rebooted it, with no change.

When I first plug my iPod Nano in and open iTunes, my iPod shows up in devices. I sometimes accidentally click the iPod icon, disconnecting the iPod.
Is there a way to reconnect without doing it manually? What I mean is, without unplugging and then plugging back in?

Not sure if this works because I don't have my iPod plugged in right now. If you go to the File menu in iTunes, is the "sync iPod" available or is it greyed out? If it's available, I would think that clicking it would bring the iPod back into the iTunes source window.

what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what happens when you click on the Edit button at the bottom of the iPhoto window?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
A universal fix for some issues is the following:
1 - reboot.
2 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
3 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
4 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.

Yes, tried all those things.
After going back and forth with Verizon's "tier 2" technical support over the last 2 days, a chat session with Nokia, no call-backs-as-promised by your technicians, then having them reinstall the phone's software -that didn't fix the problem. So they are sending me a re-manufactured replacement phone. But not a NEW ONE, because I didn't realize the problem within 14 days. You see at first, I just figured the phone had lousy volume, until I was previewing ringtones when setting the alarm clock. The phone is about one and a half months old. I have expressed my desire that a NEW phone be sent, but NO says Verizon.
I've spent enough time, in good faith, Verizon would solve this matter, but in the process of their re-installing the software they've screwed up Backup Assistant.
