Why is the kinect verifier buried in program files x86. How is an end user to verify their machine when they can't find the program
The install happens with the verifier, but there is no icon created nor shortcut nor autorun after install.
We need users to use this as well.
Is there a solution other than us packaging up msft code into our app installation process?
When installing the SDK the shortcut is provided in the SDK Browser. This should be the first tool you launch as it provides all links to samples and tools.

why do many of my song I have imported into iTunes have slats by them and won't play because they can't be found?
Presuming they're on your computer, right click on them and then follow the prompts to locate hte file on your computer.

My new LaCie external hard drive is 'seen' by my iMac and I can go into the Finder and open files and folders. I am using the hard drive for Time Machine back up. However Time Machine says it can't find the drive.
The same thing happened recently between Final Cut Express and my other LaCie external hard drive used as the Scratch disk. It fixed itself.
I've run out of ideas. Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.have you done some searches on FCPx and time machine? You cannot have time machine backups on your hard drive if you intend to use it in FCPX.

I have quite alot of music etc so to save hard drive space I have created my iTunes library on an external hard drive. If I ever accidentaly open iTunes when that external hard drive isn't attached iTunes makes a whole new library from scratch on my computers hard drive. I find this highly frustrating as I often open Itunes to find no music as it have changed librarys and I have to re-load my actual library: very frustraiting and time consuming.
I would like to know if it is possible to lock iTunes some how to stop it from changing folders when it can'f find the library, or atleast give me a warning that it can't find the library before creating a whole new one????Tunes works through a database file which has a list of your tracks. When you click on a track it looks up in the database which file it needs to play, then plays the file. If something breaks this link then you get ! The two main ways to get ! are to move a file from where iTunes expects it to be, or to delete it altogether. I don't know which has happened in your case. You can try using Spotlight to find a file for the one referred to in a broken link. If the files have been moved then they need to be moved back. If they were deleted completely you will have to restore them from a backup or download them again from the iTunes Store and rebuild your library.

hey,i forgot my login password,so i changed the password by using terminal command(reset password).now i have new user name with new password,
but i can't find my data which i have saved on mac.the storage is showing data used and free space on the disk
please help me out in this matter.How did you change your user name?
resetpassword wouldn't have done it. If you managed to create a new user, then your data is still in the old account. -
iTunes quits when I'm trying to open it. I have installed the latest version and another user on the same Mac can use their iTunes when they log in. I have tried deleting iTunes and re-installing but it still won't open. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hold down the option key while starting iTunes and make an new library. Will it open then? If so, you have a bad library. With the new library import the library.xml version of the file in your iTunes folder. This will make it 90% like before (some metadata are not identical, but I don't know which ones).

My MacBook Pro screen keeps going black. This is happening more frequently. I have had it in to the Apple store several times for this and they can't find anything wrong other than it is locked up for a while. Since it is happening more and more, I am worried that at some point this will be permanent.
Has it actually happened at the store?
If not then we need to get it to do that. Now it may be completely random but you need to try and make a note of as many things as possible that happen when it does it.
How long has it been on for, what are you doing at the time, what's connected. If it's reproducible then you've at least got somewhere. -
IT has been installed and uninstalled a hundred time. The tech from Adobe could not get it to open. The people at the computer shop very graciously have tried every thing they can think of. This not only to mention I thought I had a bad disk and bought a second copy. This program is a joke and am so mad that even adobe could not make it run. It install just fine, but just wont open.
I'm sorry you're having so many problems, but this is the user to user forum not adobe, and we can't give you a refund any more than you could give one us a refund. You would need to contact adobe about that.
However, it sounds like you are talking about PSE 7 through 10, and it's not web-based software, it's just desktop software that offered an online component. The problem is that you are trying to sign in to photoshop.com and photoshop.com has been dead and gone for over a year now. If you had photos stored there, you would have gotten a bunch of emails when your photos were getting moved to Revel, but you can't access revel from within PSE. The solution is simply to stop using the welcome screen and launch the editor or organizer directly from the .exe/application file

Yahoo infiltrated my computer by downloading a free program that i realized was no good. removed the program since, however yahoo is still here and replaced my google search engine on firefox. I just discovered a solution! Go to the upper right hand corner in Firefox where the search bar is. Click on the icon and you'll get a drop-down menu. Go to "manage search engines". You can then delete all the no-good ones, like Bing and Yahoo.

I've been uploading audiobooks from Overdrive and now that I'm done listening to them I want to delete them. After I hook my Ipod 7th gen up to the comp, it pulls up iTunes and I go to Music but I can't find any of the book titles there. They all show up in my songs group on my iPod. I've been manually managing the songs so I don't get all my husbands stuff on there. I've cruised through the other sections and tried searching the library without any luck. Any advice???
