I downloaded the latest update yesterday and now itunes is gone from my toshiba laptop. I get a message msvcr80.dll. Any suggestions why
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

In addition, whenever I open tabs the browser starts pausing for a while. This didn't happen before. I think there might be some sort of inconsistency in the latest update of firefox which was automatically installed yesterday.
It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. I was doing the latest update to my iphone4. when it got to exporting files it gave me error 3194, can anyone help?

The device could not be restored. An internal error occurred, or Error 3200: This indicates a network-connectivity or traffic issue. If you see this error, wait an hour or more and try again.

Hi Guys,
I installed the latest mavericks updtae today.
When I restarted my computer it shows that its inslalling (grey startup screen with apple logo ad insallation bar).
When it completes the installation it just switches off.
When I restart it starts all over again and is now stuck in this cycle.
I cant even start up in safe mode?

You can try this: boot your MacBook Pro into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Does it reach the login screen now? -
Why are the latest updates of AME and Premiere Pro CC 2014 only reading 4gb of ram?
I am running Windows 7 64 bit ultimate with 8gb of ram. The previous versions ripped through rendering, but I don't want to go back to revert back as i have been working with the new version now and the old one won't open the projects made by the new one. I also really like the new interface.
In task manager all adobe processes come up with *32.
How do I install the new versions as 64 bit?Take a look at your GPU usage with something like GPU-Z to see if both Premiere versions are using the same amount of MPE GPU hardware acceleration. Actually with CC 2014 it might work faster because Adobe added in more 4k effects/features for GPU acceleration.
You might want to download our Premiere Pro BenchMark (PPBM) and run it on both versions. The H.264 very complex timeline has 4K material in it and usually shows Premiere Pro 8.xxx take about only half the time that Premiere Pro CS6 take to export that same timeline. -

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />

Why does the Latest update for iOS 7 say firmware not compatible

I have tried updating my daughters iPad mini (original not retina) with latest update. I have it connected to the mac via iTunes and it downloads the update ok. When it tries to install it it says the firmware is not compatible. It is a wifi only model. I have updated 4 iPhones, 1 identical iPad mini and my iPad 2 with no problems. Can anyone help?

Why does the latest update to photoshop destroy my performance?
I am a creative cloud memeber. I recently updated photoshop to the most recent version to keep things up to date. I've found that the performance has been severely affacted. I'm running on a powemac i7 with 16GB ram. Before the update I could have both photoshop and After Effects open with reletively good perfromance. Now, my computer virtually freezes, The program does not crash, but the CPU use is near %100 even when no task is being processed. Is it possible to downgrade to the last version? or atlease figure out the issue. it's makeing the programs unusable for me.
Since you are on a Mac, you can't directly change your display driver version, but you CAN double check to ensure you're on the latest OS update.
Some things that might help you regain performance:
1. You can go into the Photoshop - Preferences - Performance dialog, choose [Advanced Settings], and see whether any of the alternate drawing modes (Basic/Normal/Advanced) changes Photoshop's behavior. Remember, you need to quit Photoshop and restart it to properly test changes to these settings. I'd also suggest checking to ensure that Cache Levels is 2 or higher in that Performance panel.
2. Reset Photoshop preferences by pressing and holding the Command - Shift - Option key combination immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you're quick enough (and you have to be very quick to get the keys down), you'll be prompted to confirm deletion of the current preferences. This will lead to Photoshop regenerating an all-defaults preference set. You can still restore a named workspace, but you'll have to re-do all your custom preferences.

hi, for the last 3 hours i ve been trying to install and update itunes to the lates update....before my itunes would open just like i want it to and ever since i tried updateing to the new software my itunes wont open i get a code 2324....i realy dont want to have to put itunes on a diferent computer....please help on what to do to fix this and get my library back cause it wont open....please desperately need help

Why is the latest update maxing out my CPU
After my Firefix updated the last time to 14.0.1, it has been totally unusable. As soon as it starts it just about maxes out my CPU's. Trying to do anything in it is impossible, menus take 4-5 seconds before they open. If I can get to a web site, trying to scroll down a web page takes several seconds to wait for each click to respond. Even typing in information takes several seconds between key strokes.
I've been a long time user of Firefox, but this has been the worse update and I'm preparing to move to another browser.What kind of images are causing the problems?
Did you check that it isn't caused by JavaScript that is running on those pages? -

Check your iMessage settings on under Settings > Messages. check to see if you have your phone number in that list for "Receive at"

Why did the latest update delete my music from my phone and laptop?
I updated my iphone with the new ISO and it also updated iTunes. Some where during the process it deleted my music from my Iphone and my music folder on my laptop. Is there a solution to this problem? Right now I am not very happy with either of these applications. Not only that it add stuff to my iphone that I will never use and can not delete it from the iphone.

After restarting TB to apply the 31.1.2 update, all of the database files for my primary email account were apparently deleted. Restarting TB again got it to start syncing with the IMAP server again, but it has to download around 100,000 messages again because of this. Was this a design decision or is there a problem with the update itself? And why did it only affect my primary email account and leave the other 4 (much smaller ones) unscathed?

Account5 is the one affected which is still attempting to sync. It also appears that my sync choices were altered without permission or notification. I always keep the Deleted folder and the POP subfolder from Hotmail accounts disabled since it is merely duplicating content in other folders. When re-checking the sync settings because it was taking so long, I found that the POP subfoler was selected for sync again.
The crash report is from a later TB crash, the first one ever on this system.
3. Windows 7 Ultimate Signature Edition, Cox Communications (shouldn't matter whatsoever), the affected account is Hotmail/Outlook.com, unaffected accounts: 2 GMail, 1 Yahoo, 1 CenturyLink
