Why is the MP3 that is purchased from Amazon different when it is imported?

I purchased several MP3's from Amazon. They are automatically imported into iTunes by the Amazon MP3 Downloader.
However I noticed that though the file sizes are the same the MP3's that are saved in the iTunes Media folder are different.
Does anyone know why? Seems curious that there should be any difference.

I'm not entirely clear what the problem is. iTunes may report the size of the file in a slightly different way from Amazon or Windows Explorer. Depending on your settings in the Amazon downloader and iTunes when the files are added to iTunes they may be the original files that were downloaded, or copied made by the iTunes import routine. If you get Amazon to download the files to the *Automatically add to iTunes* folder but not import them into iTunes then iTunes will do it automatically without creating any duplicates.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

HT1451 I used to be able to sync all songs that I downloaded from CDs to my iPad. Now I can only get the songs that were purchased from iTunes. Can someone tell me why?

I used to be able to sync songs that I imported from CDs into my library onto my iPad and iPad touch. Now I can only sync the purchased from iTunes songs. What has changed? Do I have to subscribe to iCloud to do this now?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
iTunes should sync your entire library, and not just songs purchased from the iTunes Store, as mentioned in this article:

By default, iTunes automatically syncs your entire iTunes library whenever you connect your device to your computer. On each subsequent sync, iTunes will automatically add any new music or videos to the device and remove any items that are no longer in your iTunes Library.

I create a playlist with songs that I purchased from itunes and when I try to sync it to my iphone some of the songs are missing but when I go to the playlist in itunes the song is there. What could be happening? What am I doing wrong?

I've created playlists with songs I've purchased from iTunes and also added songs I've purchased from iTunes to existing playlists. Everytime I go to sync the playlist to my iPhone I find some of the new songs missing from the playlist. I've deleted the playlist from the phone and reinstalled it. I don't know what I"m doing wrong. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Wondering if you haven't been bitten by the new "feature" of iOS 5, as was my son. turingtest2 explained it very well in reply to my own query about "missing" songs in playlists.

How can I save the apps that I purchased from the App Store?

Does anyone know if you can somehow save apps that you purchased so you don't have to buy it again?

You should always sync them to your computer: File>Transfer Purchases and you should alwys maintain a backup copy of your computer.

Why are the texts that I receive from others (with apple products) grey in my message screen?

Why are the received texts in my messaging gray?? The ones I send are blue. My rec'd texts used to be green before ios7. Is this normal??

Those may be iMessages.

4. Tap "Not On This iPhone" at top right.
5. Tap on the music you want to download.
6. Tap iCloud icon to download to phone.

Okay i got a new laptop this week. i downloaded it to my new computer. sadly i cant put my music on it and i cant figure out why. The songs that i purchase off itunes i could download on but i cant find away to get my other songs?

Why my iMac says that it is from mid 2011, when i bought it in 2012?

i know that there is a late 2011 model, i just cant undestand it!

MId-2011 is the last update to the iMac platform. That's how Apple refers to it's systems. Before that it was the mid-2010 iMac and before that late 2009. You can see the nomenclature and specs at http://support.apple.com/specs/#imac
The late 2011 iMac is, as I recall, for educational institutions with a Core I3 chip. You can't buy that from the online store.

Do I have to manually download all 322 songs that I purchases from Amazon? They are available in ITunes but won't sync.

iTunes will only sync media to an iDevice that is physically on the computer.
The implication is that the media is in fact on the computer, so is that media added to iTunes and is it selected to sync?

Why does the persona that I created get very large when I post it even though its the correct dimensions?

Every time we try and upload our persona, it shows up on screen very large. It seems like the dimensions are oversized and shows up on screen as only about 1/4 of the full design. How do I get the Serial Number for Adobe XI that purchased from Amazon over two weeks ago?

I am trying to get the serial number so that I can have the permanent version of the Adobe XI that I purchased from Amazon. Does anybody know how Adobe alerts a buyer to this info? I purchased the software as a Download so do not have a box.

BB says my phone wasn't purchased from Amazon

I have a new BB Classic that I purchased from Amazon and submitted a support request online. First BB wouldn't accept my support request without a PIN and it took me over an hour to find the Device PIN.  Now I've submitted a request with my PIN, but BB says their records indicate I didn't purchase the device from Amazon. I can prove that I did purchase it from Amazon, but BB doesn't offer a way to do that.
I'm at the point where I'm about to return the phone.  I've waited several years for BB to get their act together and come out with a decent replacement to the Bold, but the lack of support is driving me crazy.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

You will not get recharged if you download them from the Purchased section of the iTunes Store and you are signed in with the Apple ID they were originally purchased with.
