Why is the new iTunes 7 SSSOOOOOOOOOOO slow?

I upgraded to the new iTunes 7 today and HOLY COW it's so slow I almost don't want to use it! Deleting a single song takes over 2 minutes! I'm not even doing anything trickey like downloading or copying - just opening and deleting are OUCH! slow! Why?

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. Why is the new ITune update slowing down my pc.

I recently updated ITunes...It now comes with a helper exe. Why did this change...It has slowed down my pc something terrible... I am running Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit..and never had this problem before...
Seems I need the helper exe to access ITunes now...I do not like updates that decide what runs or doesn't run....Is there a solution to this. The resource below explains the processes that are involved with the iTunes software installed with Windows 7. It's possible to use your iPad mini without the corresponding iTunes software on your Windows computer .... but it would limit what you can do with it. You can't sync your iPad with your computer, use iCloud services, etc. without the software. The choice is totally up to you.

Why does the new Itunes freeze when i click on my Ipod touch icon to manage my content? All buttones, video, tv, info, music, they all do nothing. i was only able to sync by bringing up the old sidebar. Is this a software glitch, or am i missing a step? I just spent two days reorganizing and labeling all my music for the new itunes, and had to restore my ipod so i could upload my new library. i know what is supposed to come up when you click on the music or info tabs, but nothing happens, only the eject button works. whats going on?

The screen is telling you to connect the iPod to your computer with iTunes with the USB connector. iTunes should open and give you instructions as to what to do. Whatyou need to need to do is to restore the iPod via iTunes.

When I moved to Numbers 3, I found that my Numbers 2 templates were still in File > New from Template Chooser > My Templates with the original row height intact
And my default (Small w Header Row and Column) template opens with the "old" row height.

I have the same problem with new 11.0. Presentation of album data now seems scrambled in 'Album' screen. Instead of albums in alphabetical order with all album tracks I now get albums in the order of the Album Artist. Unless the album artist is EXACTLY the same, the tracks on any one album can be spread all over the screen (hopeless for compilations). Does anbody know how to get the Album screen to sort solely on the Album title?

Thanks for your input but as i have said it is a Motorola V3i (The i means itunes compatable). I have uninstalled and re-installed every old version of itunes there is and it works perfect from itunes 5 up to itunes 9 then it goes wrong and does not recognise my device allowing me to sync. I am happy with itunes 9 but it will not allow me to keep it without updating it to itunes 11. The phone is recognised by the comp and appears in devices. Any further ideas will be welcome. Thanks

Why is the new iTunes make it so hard for me to manage my own music

As a standard everyday user and rather big music fan with a libary filled with 100's of gb's of music this new itunes is a downgrade for someone like myself who rather manage and organise my music. I don't care about bold album images and the terrible viewing options. i care about simple, easy and useful ways of listening and managing my own music.
The fact that as soon as the update was completed, the status and side bars where hidden makes it look to me like apple are trying to turn itunes into an app instead of creating a strong program that alows management and customisation.
The best feature for anyone that itunes HAD was display duplicates and they took that away for what?
Is there anyway to downgrade to itunes 10???

If you want to get most of the old look/feel of iTunes back, then choose "View" from the menu, and select "Show sidebar".

It works fine on my phone. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

Ever since I updated to Mavericks, I get the pinwheel frequently in Safari and it operates slower than previously. Are others having this issue?

First, delete the cache ...
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, it might be a Safari extension or third party plug-in that was compatible with the prior OS X, but not Mavericks.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

When I add a song to an unsorted playlist, I expect the track to be placed at the end of the tracks already there. iTunes puts it the added track in the #1 position. Or it does 9 times out of 10. It is not even predictable, which makes it worse.

Do the following two things:
In the left-hand pane, right-click the name of the playlist, choose Edit Smart Playlist, and make sure that "Live Updating" is checked.
In the list itself, click the column header for "Last Played" so that the list will sort according to when it was played, with most recent on top.

I installed iTunes 11 and discovered that it had reset the play counts on all my iTunes-Store-purchased music. What gives? Here's another thing, perhaps for a separate question here on the forum: play counts and "last played" do not update after a song is played unless I had specifically double-clicked it. Weird.

Everytime I Search in the search box, my computer locks up. I have a well function computer that has all sorts of upgrade to increase speed, but for some reason, seaching locks up in iTunes! additioanlly, I can't ever find the songs I need. I want to type the song, artist, album, hit enter and have it appear. What can be done to change it back.

Wow, thanks! Although, Apple should be smart enough to turn this feature off as the default setting. I'm sure I am one of MANY people who are equally frustrated by this feature.

Why is the New Firefox so slow and why is it "Not Repsonding" most of the time?

I upgraded my home PC to Firefox 4 and it is slower than Firefox 3, it is often not responding causing wait times. I never had this problem with Firefox 3, I have not upgrade my work PC to Firefox 4 for this reason. It's supposed to be faster but it's not.

Try Google Chrome. That one is really fast.
