Why is the new software using 3.7 gig on Other??

Updated my phone last night removing photos and adding new music, all was fine and I had a good 2 or 3 gig spare. Tonight I update my software as per the notice from Applie saying it's available, and now I'm using 3.7 gig on Other? What on earth have they just put on my phone that uses more gig than I use on my apps???!?!?!?

There shouldn't be more than 1 GB "Other" (usually less). There is corrupted data or metadata on the phone. Restore your phone in iTunes using a backup. Rarely, you have to restore as new

I just downloaded and installed the new iphone 4 software/firmware. i synced my iphone and it made it about 2/3 of the way downloaded and froze. on my phone it has the apple logo and the loading bar about 2/3 of the way. on my itunes it has an 'updating iphone firmare...' bar and its about 1/8 of the way. it wont let me disconnect my device. whats up?

It's still updating the software. Why would you want to disconnect it? Do you want to brick your device? It's not going to be usable until it finishes loading.
Try temporarily disabling your anti-virus and firewall software to see if the install process moves forward.
There have also been numerous reports of the app store being down, it's possible that whatever is causing the app store outage is affecting the signing of the iOS files and affecting your ability to restore your device. Notice I said possible not that this is the reason.

Connect your device to iTunes and do the update through iTunes. Using a computer takes much less space on your device than doing the update on your device.

If you are experiencing difficulties with the connection between your stereo and device, disconnect the device, and then power cycle the stereo and your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. When the Home screen reappears, reconnect your device. If you cannot power cycle the stereo, turn the car off and then back on to allow the stereo to power off.

You have 2 solutions:
1 - You can use 2 differents icloud account
2 - You use the same account but you don't sync yours contacts.
You configure that in Settings > icloud
You activate or desactivate what you want.

Try a different camera app. Camera Plus is a good one and there are many others.

To reset any OS X program just go to the folder and trash the affected files.
Open a new Finder Window
Click "Go" in the above status bar
Click and HOLD the "option/alt" key and you will see "Library" now show in the above list
Click Library while still holding the option/alt key and a new window will open with all of your system files
Go to the preference file (NOT Preference Panes)
Locate a file named <com.apple.FaceTime.bag.plist>
Locate another file named <com.apple.FaceTime.plist>
Locate the file <com.apple.iMessage.bag.plist>
Drag the files to the trash
Delete the trash
Close FaceTime and iMessage if not already closed
Relaunch FaceTime and iMessage from Applications folder
This should reset the program back to default. You will have to put your information back into the program but it should work.

Or will I have to continue using the previous version to complete older projects? the only foreseeable solution is to begin any new projects on 10.2 or importing footage on 10.2 and starting form scratch--which is something i definitely don't want to do or have time to do. Exactly the same problem with me.
Some other threads advice to remove fonts, clean the caches, remove add ins but nothing works consistenty, for some it looks like it works, for me it failed.
What I did not try yet, was to move the Render files out of the malicious library to trash.

The font has been changed to a very narrow typeface and the greyscale has been altered to reduce contrast. The background is now grey as well rather than white. The accessibility options permit only three choices. First, increase type size. With the the low greyscale, thin typeface, increasing type size makes it HARDER to read. There is no option for contrast enhancement. Third, the background switch options suffers from the same deficit as the white background. The third choice is to enhance brightness but without the option to change contrast, this is useless. Am I missing something? Can this be fixed? How? When? Are you planning a similar negative "update"/change to other devices?

I am having the same problem. I have gone through every setting, set the bold font, contrast, larger font....everything I could find in any post to try and help - and between the new color scheme that makes it virtually impossible to use the pictures of my grandchildren as background (the picture colors now become the theme colors - which now match the colors of many of the "flat" icons...) I am finding the phone very difficult to use--espeically things like the calendar which has now become very hard to "see" and use. If I can't revert this thing to iOS6, I may have to get a different phone.

First, if you have not already, I would restart the iPhone then try again.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

When I moved to Numbers 3, I found that my Numbers 2 templates were still in File > New from Template Chooser > My Templates with the original row height intact
And my default (Small w Header Row and Column) template opens with the "old" row height.

There is no upgrade path available from Macromedia Contribute 3 to Adobe Contribute 6.5. However you can buy the latest version of Contribute which is 6.5 from the link mentioned below.
