Why is the option to reject cookies non-existent on 3.6.8? On all previous versions I could reject the bad cookies and now you take a great feature away, WHY?

On Tools > Options > Privacy, is "Firefox will:" set to "Use custom setting for history" so that you can see all of the options available? See: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Options+window+-+Privacy+panel#Use_custom_settings_for_history

The "Privacy" preferences panel no longer offers the option to delete cookies on quit, as it did in Ffx 6, the version I updated from. Has this option been moved elsewhere? Has it been eliminated? If Firefox puts the user first, why are your "updates" dumming down on user-settable options, especially one as important as an easy and convenient way to prevent cookies from hanging around till the next ice age. I realize I can manually delete cookies, but this is a pain in the rear, especially since I am missing most of my fingers. All those extra strokes that the ten fingered world dismisses as trivial really add up when you have only 2.5 fingers and one eye.

It has a dropdown arrow which usually shows -
"Firefox will Never Remember History" and, what you need,
"Firefox will Use Custom Settings". This opens a range of options.
Is this pair of dropdown arrows not working?

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

This is when the phone is unlocked mode. My snapshot is when the phone is locked.
Remember when you get a call when the phone is locked and you used to have slide to answer in iOS 6 and if you slide up you would have options to reject, reject with a message and reject with a reminder. We dont have that in iOS 7. iOS 7 *****, I cannot get back to iOS6, apple needs to be user friendly. Screen shot 1 when the phone is locked, screenshot 2 when the phone is unlocked.

Why are the options for "When Firefox starts" NOT clickable in Firefox 5? I want to choose "Windows and tabs that where opened last time you accessed the net" but Firefox won't let me.

In the previous version of Firefox one could choose to save tabs so that when Firefox opened, all the tabs from the previous sessions appeared. This was done in Settings > Options > General > Startup. In the menu for the "When Firefox Starts" one had the option for "Windows and tabs that where opened last time you accessed the net." in Firefox 5.0, this menu is gray and not clickable. Help, please?

Possibly you are not saving your "browsing history" which is what the session history is tied into.

* clearing your history at end of session, cache is the only one you would want to clear at end of session, if you don't want to lose things
There are several things that are related to private browsing and not saving History
* Private Browsing Ctrl+Shift+P
* You selected "Never remember history" in first drop-down of Tools > Options Privacy and all of the check marks disappear (See picture above)
* "Permanent private browsing mode" was check-marked under "Use custom settings for history" in the first drop-down of Tools > options > Privacy (see picture above)

My mistake. This is how it used to work for me in Reader: I hovered over SAVE AS and there used to be an option to save as an IMAGE, and hovering over IMAGE gave me the option to save as a jpg.
So you are suggesting that this all used to happen in Acrobat or AIR, or something?
What I’m trying to do and what I used to do is create a word doc, then save it as a pdf, then convert it to jpg.

Why does the option to watch a movie even appear if it then will not play because not downloaded? Worse, then only 23hrs left to watch!! Paying for what is not delivered!!

When iTunes/iPod sync process failed due to timeout, the iPod, has only the initilaised filesytem structure at the start of the Sync.
The timeout failure could be due to
Bad hardisk - do the iPod disk diagnostic, refer to this excellent post by tt2
Slow USB port or resource - Dont use any USB hub, disconnect all other USB devices while syncing
Timeout due to Antivirus or other plugins - disconnect from Internet and stop the Antivirus or monitoribng software if you are syncing.
Preferably stop doing other things while syncing this ancient device, which the latest iTunes designer, think will soon be extinct.

I can not open the privacy icon in the options to delete cookies, why?

I am trying to individually delete cookies, When I go to "tools" then "options" the window will open and I click on the "privacy" icon, the program will highlight the "privacy" icon, but the options for privacy will not appear. The rest of the icons will open and function properly, Has my computer been hijacked?

Why does the option to print front to back only appear randomly?

Have only seen the option to print back to front offered once or twice - why isn't it always there?

Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system?
What are your settings for paper type? Duplex printing is not compatible with photo paper, transparency media or when printing full bleed (edge to edge).
What program are you printing from? Some programs remember their own printer settings regardless of default settings in the system.

You removed the Check box from the Options/Content menu to turn off Java, and turning it off under app's has no effect. Java stays on no matter what I do.

removing useful features to force users to use third-party add-ons is not considered "as part of an effort to simplify the Firefox options " your complicating simple things and creating problems just of the sake of it .
the content used to have 3 things, 2 options are gone , load images automatically and enable java script .
the jave scirpt had three sub options that i used frequently
now I'm forced to install firefox 22 ,it will solve the problem.

Why is the option to choose to edit with lightroom adjustment or edit original missing

I am currently using Lightroom 3 and Photoshop Cs4.
Usually when I open file in photoshop from lightroom, I will be asked to choose to edit with lightroom adjustment or to edit original file. However, today, the options were missing, and the file directly opens without lightroom adjustment in photoshop. Is there a setting that I can change? Thanks.

Is there any chance that you sometime checked a "Don't show again" box on the dialogue?
Try pushing the "Reset all warning dialogs" button on the General tab of your Preferences.

Why is the option "Open ITunes when this iPad is connected" dimmed?

It's an original iPad running the latest iOS. My host iMac is running MacOS 10.6.8.

I have the same issue but my Itunes opens up when I connect my Iphone. I do not want it to open up. I just want to charge my phone with the usb and only have itunes open when I want it to.
