Why is the print blurry

My print is coming out blurry.  Could someone help me.

    Why is the printed font so small on a print job I send from my email to my new HP Photosmart C510? I sent it via HP ePrint from a lotus notes based email account. It was just a text message but it was so small on the print out I could not begin to read it.

    At the document you plan to print, go to "file" in upper right corner.  Select "print preview".  Atop that window, select font size.  Recommended minimum 60%.  May need to adjust with different documents.

    WHY was the Print icon removed?
    I want it back.
    I used to have an icon for printing on the Toolbar in 3.5.5.
    When I asked where it went, I found this answer: "That Print window will show every time you go to print something in Firefox 3.6+ versions, the option to suppress that window from appearing and the user to be able to print "directly" was removed." Tried to reinstall 3.5.5 but couldn't. Not liking 3.6 at all

    Took a tad more than just "going to Customize. " First thing to do was figure out where "Customize" might be. Just guessing, I clicked the three-horizontal-line box at far right end of the address bar. Downloads was on that menu. But I want it on my toolbar, where it used to be at far right of address box. At bottom of the Menu screen there was a bar, Customize. Clicked that and got a screen where I could move Download and other icons around by clicking on the icon, holding, and dragging. But that didn't get it on the toolbar. Finally, out of curiosity I right-clicked the icon to see what would happen. I got a small box giving me choice to Move to Toolbar. Clicked that. BINGO!!! Also figured out you can do same by clicking View/Toolbars/Customize, then right click any icon you want on Toolbar and put it there. Thanks for starting me in right direction.

    This issue is frequently caused by a driver malfunction although the problem could be just about anything.
    You didn't provide any information.
    The good news:  You can still help yourself and there is lots of help available, including -- in many cases -- the printer software for your computer so you can reinstall and be on your way again.
    Install Full Feature Software – Printer
    Take a look at the helpful videos if you need help with the installation.
    Take a look, too, at the Troubleshooting / How-to / Solve a problem sections for more help on just about everything "printer".
    There is a new "Print Doctor" in town for many printer models.  If there is a new print Doctor program for your model, it will be in your printer software webpages under Utilities or Diagnostics.

    I have pages 09 version 4.1... It is a small aggravation.. The left 3 or 4 characters on the return address would not print until I realized that by clicking on
    " View " & " Show Lay-Out " that it was out side the printable range ...

    It seems to be a Pages template  " Print range " issue..  Both the Epson and the HP printers were doing it and it was today that I realized why..  !!
    When I move it to where it will print there is large gap on the left margin of the return address..  Just wondering if anyone else knew about this.. ? My Pages is ' 09 ' version 4.1...

    It started on yesterday, Jan 4, 2012. With Firefox, the print is lighter and harder to read, and the photos, in general, seem unfocused/a little blurry unless you look real close. i didn't have that problem before switching over fro Safari.

    Yes, just Safari. In Chrome, Firefox and all other applications it works as expected.

  • Why does the print cue window stay open even after job is done?

    In Tiger, and every other version of OSX I have any recollection of using, the printer window opens to display what's in the cue when you select to print something. Once printing is done, this cue closes. Since installing Leopard, everytime we print from our iMac, MacBook or MBP, the print cue window stays open indefinitely after the job is done, requiring a manual closing of the window. I can't for the life of me fathom what benefit this brings or who would want this. Is this part of Leopard or a problem with our install? Something I can turn off?

    If you control-click (or right click) on the open printer queue in the Dock you can choose to have it auto close once the spool file is sent.
    As to why this is necessary in Leopard, well I haven't seen a good enough answer to date...

    do the people at hp understand what a printer drivers is ?
    at my company we can install new printer if they use a "STANDER WINDOWS DRIVER"
    we can not execute an *.exe file  we have to call tech support to get this done and open a ticket.

    and just for the fun of it my firewall keeps blocking a port that your trying to use to go out to the web ... WHY does my printer need to talk to the web ?  auto updates are turned off so whats it doing ???

  • Why ist the printed font size smaller then the choosen font size in pages

    sorry about my english it´s a lot of years agoo i used it.
    since a cuple of months i choosed a mac mini to be used as my favorit pc-system. Now i am using pages to create letters and stuff like greeting cards, posters, flyers and so on.
    In this i´ll find a problem between the choosen font sizes and the printed paper.
    If i choose a font and size like arial 12, and start the print job of the lettert with my Printer (Samsung 3170 MFC or Samsung 315), the size of the printed font is very smaller than the in pages choosen font (seen on the screen.
    If i use MS offce it is the right size on the screen as on the printet paper.
    What do i wrong?

    Maybe because your document isn't displayed at 100% but at 120% on your screen.
    On my iMac, to get the same size on screen and on paper, the zoom factor must be 142% which can't be done thru the available interface.

  • Why is the printing colour now revereed in new Firefox on ebay

    I downloaded the new V4 of Firefox yesterday.
    Now, when I print a page on Ebay, the screen colour is reversed- I get a completely black coloured page. (which uses up a hell of a lot of ink!!)
    Just after I press the print button the whole screen flashes white.
    It flashes white whenever I press the print button, but prints fine on all other websites.
    Ebay say that its a browser problem and nothing to do with their website.
    It is onviously a setting fault, but I can find nowhere on Firefox to correct this problem.
    I have tried printing on Ebay using IE, Opera and Safari and they work fine, so it is something in the new V4 of Firefox that is causing this problem.

    Sorry if this sounds like something you've already checked, but I need to ask - is your Adobe ID and the credential to enter the Kuler website the same? If they are, you should be able to browse your themes, and the public themes that you have liked.
    Nevertheless, I'm checking with the team if there is anything else that could cause Illustrator CC to not download your themes and show you that error message.

  • Why is the print on my computer so HUGE? I've tried to reset pages but nothing works. Please help!?!

    I opened up my computer page and the print is HUGE! I've tried to reset the pages through the control panel icon but it is all normal size. I have even zoomed out using the view button and that doesn't help except for the one page that I'm on. I don't know of any other place to go to make adjustments. Anyone have any suggestions? I would like to try some suggestions before I take it in to get fixed. Thanks for all the help! Kathy

    There are a couple of add-ons that will let you set a very large default zoom level. If you check under
    Tools > Add-ons > Extensions
    do you have either of these?

    If so, check their settings.
    If you notice other anomalies, such as the toolbars becoming huge and the rest of Windows looking wrong, your Firefox shortcut might have a "compatibility" setting. If you close Firefox and right-click the shortcut (e.g., on the desktop or quick launch, whatever is relevant), choose Properties, then the Compatibility tab, try clearing any settings there. Then restart Firefox. Does that help?

    I understand your Photosmart 5520 runs a blank sheet of paper before you copy a document. I will do my best to assist you! Just to clarify are you printing a document from your computer or copying a document directly from your printer?
    If so, then please make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector. I want to see if this makes a difference. Next, try resetting the printer for more than 60 seconds. Leave the printer turned on, then disconnect the power cord.
    Make sure the firmware is up to date on this printer. I will provide the HP website where you can find this download here.

  • Help! All-in-One Printer/Scanner: why does the printer work when the scanner doesn't?

    I have a Mac OS X 10.8.1, brand new.  I want to connect my Lexmark X2480 all-in-one printer and scanner to it. 
    I have downloaded both drivers from the lexmark website, printing works fine.  However, I am trying to use image capture to scan, the device is recognised but when I click "scan" image capture says "scanner not available" and the device disappears from the list until I unplug it and plug it back in again.
    On "Print and Scan" under "System Preferences" it lists the printer as Idle, however, clicking on "Open Scanner" opens the window but it is completely grey and all the buttons are in grey.
    I don't understand what is wrong (as the printer is working it's unlikely to be the cable or the hardware) I am new to Mac, is there something I am missing?
    Any help would be really appreciated!! (P.S. I have tried to restart my computer and it didn't change anything)
