Why is the share monitor stuck at 0%?

I've exported hundreds of videos using Final Cut Pro X before, but today nothing happens. No error message, no failed export. The share monitor just sits at 0%. I've tried exporting other projects that I've exported before, but the same thing happens. I'm going to try rebooting the computer, but that's the best solution I can come up with. Has anyone experienced this before?

What exact versions of FCP X and OSX are you currently using?

  • What's happened to the Share Monitor or at least a progress bar in 10.0.6?

Previously when exporting using the Share menu, I either had a progress bar or the Share Monitor to show how my export was doing.
Now in 10.0.6 there appears to be neither of these items so I have no idea how long it will take.
Am I doing something wrong or have both these items disappeared?
If the latter, how do I estimate the time the export will take?

All exports in FCP X as of 10.0.6 are background processes, and GPU enbled so they are much, much faster.
Click the Background Process indicator in the Dashboard to see the progress there.  Just like when you import files.   The great news is, now you can contiue working while exporting is going on in the background.

  • Where is the share monitor?

When I am exporting a film in FCPX to a DVD, the Share Monitor button dosen't show in the processing window. Also when the processing is done the DVD disc is still empty. I have been able to burn DVDs before in FCPX.
Please help me fix this problem!
it is supposed to be a "Share monitor" button next to the "Cancel" button

The monitor is available but it says that I have 0 batches even dough I'm processing a project.
Trashing it with Preference Manager didn't seem to work.
When I first discovered the problem I updated FCP to 10.0.5, but it didn't solve anything.
    Some other information:
It seems like I can't export my project in any way. Tried to export a DVD to the hard drive with no results. The Share Monitor just says that I don't have any batches. However when I try to process a DVD the processor starts to work and space is taken from my hard drive even dough no new files can be found.
    Appreciate your help!

  • Why did the Share dialogue change from display in a frame to not displayed in a frame

    Hello,
SharePoint 2013 via TFS install package which installed SharePoint Central Administration v4 and a default SharePoint team site.  This is my system:
When I initially started working with my default SharePoint Team Site (SharePoint - 80) and clicked on SHARE, I was able to see the Share dialogue in a
popup frame.  I added a single user to the site.  I also stopped the site in order to start the Default Web site; I had to do that because I guess both sites are default installed
with the same port number.  Then I stopped the Default Web site and restarted the default SharePoint Team Site.  I have no idea if these steps are related, I just thought I should mention them.
I later noticed that the Share dialogue no longer appears in a pop-up.  Instead I get the following:
Why did this change?  Can I change it back? (It's not important to me to change back, I just want to know if I can).  If not, why not?
I also notice that this dialogue in a new window behaves oddly.  After I add a group or user and click Share, the new window returns to a blank page.  I have to close that page and reopen the Share dialogue to add another entity.  Is this
    normal?
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Alan

  • Share monitor stuck on waiting

I am running 10.7.2 on a mid 2010 12 cpu macpro.  In order to use all of the cpus I have enabled Qmaster in Compressor 4 "share this computer as QuickCluster with services".  I submitted a job to the cluster (which is, in this case, my own computer) but Share Monitor just says "waiting".
I have recreated the /Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/Apple Qmaster/Storage directories.  I have checked the log files. All they show is that the cluster has started up.  I have turned off my firewalls.  Nothing seems to work ....

  • Why wont the share to youtube videos work on other ipad or iphones

many of my projects that i share to youtube are not playable on other ipads or iphones, i thought they used to play fine, but recently none of my movies work on youtube...

The share feature of the iPad or the share link inside of FaceBook?
You can't use the iPads share feature from FB, only from content that is on your device.  From FaceBook, save the picture to the iPad.  Then with the picture open, you can share it with iMessage, Twitter, eMail, FaceBook and a couple of others.
If the FaceBook app isn't wotking correctly, first try to shut it down, then restart it.  If that doesn't work, try a force quit of the app.
Press and hold the sleep/wake button until you see the red slider.
Next, press and hold the home button until the screen returns to the app.
When you let go of the home button you'll be returned to the home screen.

  • Why does the external monitor on my MBPR constantly lose its signal?

I have a Macbook Pro Retina, manufactured in August of 2012 (mid 2012). The laptop seems to be incapable of continuously driving an external display. On some monitors it will lose the signal once or twice a day; on my home monitor it will lose the signal many times an hour, sometimes taking minutes to "settle down". The effect is as if I had un-plugged and re-plugged in the HDMI cable. However I see this happen on three different monitors, two of which come in through HDMI and one through Thunderbolt. I even bought an apple monitor for $1000 that I returned, because on that one every now and then the MBPR just wouldn't detect it at all (and I would still see it quickly drop and re-establish the signal a few times an hour).
Here is a video of what that looks like, as it flashes to blue repeatedly: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19671563/IMG_1363.MOV
I tried gfxCardStatus and using Discreet Only, no luck.
The apple store guys were no help. They claim they have never heard of this issue even though I repro it *daily*. When I check the Console, this is the first message I always see during an incident (for the worst-performing monitor, at least):
8/24/13 4:30:01.312 PM WindowServer[82]: Received display connect changed for display 0x3f003d
I have tried every conceivable Display setting (Best for Retina display, Best for External display), and I am mirroring. I never had even a single problem on my older Macbook Pro; I have had problems since day 1 on my MBPR and they are getting worse (i.e., the external monitor is losing its signal more frequently every day).
Can anyone recommend a solution or suggest a cause?
    Thanks,
    -Eric

  • Why is the Share Screen button missing?  Anybody?  Anybody?

I have a MacBook Air OS X.5.5, MacMini OS X.4.11, and an older PowerPC OS X.4.11 all connected to a local network (the older PowerPC ethernet - other two wireless). I've setup Tiger on both the Mini and the PowerPC to allow Apple Remote Desktop and setup the Access Privileges on both . . . "allow user to do" everything.
Using Leopard on the Macbook Air, I have a "Share Screen" button for the Mini, but I have no "Share Screen" button for the PowerPC. I've tried everything I can think of . . . nothing seems to work to make the button appear . . . Any ideas? Anybody?

    Hi Janet,
Make sure that the File Sharing access is ticked on in Sys Pref/sharing & and that the Screen Sharing access is ticked on in Sys Pref/sharing. (This is only applicable in SysPref OXS10.5)
In Tiger - make sure that in Sys Pref/Sharing/Services/Personal File Sharing is ticked on.
Did you try ticking the 'Guests may request permission to control screen' in access privileges - that may jog it?? I just connected to my laptop on 10.4 in this manner allowing permission at the laptop end, by doing so I knew the connection was available.
Short of that I'd install Leopard on all machines then screen sharing doesn't require the ARemoteDesktop to allow permission - it's replaced by a simple 'screen sharing' button.
You can also share screens via ichat under Leopard 10.5.
The other issue maybe how you have your network plugged - is your router that the PPC is plugged into the same unit that sends the WIFI signal? If there is two devices you may need to bridge the connection - as they are most likely sitting in separate IP strings. If you can plug the PPC into the same device (Airport Extreme?) then do that also. Good luck.

  • Share Monitor Firewall Rule

When Share Monitor is open, I get a dialog box that flashes about every ten seconds but does not give me sufficient time to react. It's the box that requests Internet access for applications when you have the firewall turned on.
I tried to manually add the application to the list, but I don't know where Share Monitor is located. Does anyone have an idea?
    Thank you.
    Kevin

I was having that same issue but I don't want to have less Firewall security because of one pesky app by checking "Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections".  For one thing, CA's can be sketchy.
    So here's what I did...
    1) Open Share Monitor from Compressor and make sure Share Monitor is in your Dock
    2) Right-click the Share Monitor icon in the Dock and select "Show in Finder" in options.
    3) You'll then see the Share Monitor app that's within the "EmbeddedApps" folder that's within the Compressor bundle.
    4) Open Apple Firewall and click "Advanced"
    5) Drag the Share Monitor app into the apps window in the "Advanced" window of Firewall settings.
    6) Then in the Firewall window make sure Share Monitor is set to "Allow incoming connections" (should already do that by default after you dragged it in there).
That's it and you can leave "Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections" unchecked.  There's other ways to do this if you're comforable with command line, but why bother when it's this easy this way and you don't have to worry about mistyping something and jacking up your Firewall.
Be sure and drag Compressor in there too.

What error are you reciving while launching replication monitor.
    Do you have sufficient permissions?
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms151221.aspx
To monitor replication, below permissions needed
    The sysadmin fixed server role.
These users can monitor replication and have full control over changing replication properties such as agent schedules, agent profiles, and so on.
The replmonitor database role in the distribution database.
