The issue should occurs when you install the WAIK on a 64bit Windows 7 machine.
You need install WAIK on a 32bit machine.
Different binary versions of Windows SIM cannot create catalog files for some Windows images of different architecture types. We recommend using the
32-bit version of Windows SIM to create catalog files because this version can create catalogs for all Windows image architecture types. The following list describes the Windows SIM architecture types and catalogs that can be created for each Windows

I'm considering purchasing the new Nokia 515 feature phone. I already have two Nokia feature phones and love them. For these phones I use Nokia Suite 3.8.48.
My question is this: Can I continue to use Nokia Suite 3.8.48 with the Nokia 515 for contact number and text message backup?
It would be extremely handy to be able to copy contacts from one phone to another.

I am using an old iPhone 3G on a prepaid network. Love it. Getting long in the tooth -- time to upgrade. $650?! The iPad is only $499 and way cooler (minus the phone part). What gives, Apple?
I am asking myself the exact same question as @keithfromclarkson. Why is the iPhone so darn expensive. My only reason, is because Apple can. People are buying it like hotcakes. But it still bugs me, cost of production of iPhone is significantly less than that for iPad consider the following:

What you say is obviously right. "Locking in" is often associated with discounts.
However, using Orwellian language ("basic" = much less service for dramatically more money - compared with "plus") is just not a good idea.
I get that Adobe wants to go from sales to rental, from products to services. You acheived your virtual monopoly position by making and integrating great software. Your biggest competition is usually your own earlier releases. I get it. You need cash flow.
But please, do not follow in the footseps of the other rentier companies like the telecommunications giants and big banks. They are soon hated for their opaque and disingenuous marketing and pricing games, regardless of the quality of their services.
The temptation must be great, but please don't do it! I have always loved Adobe, but recently, since your move to a rental model I'm getting nervous. -
Why is the black MacBook more expensive?
It seems that you could configure a white macbook to have the same exact configuration as the black one, but pay $125 less. Are people really paying $125 just for the black color??
... and people will pay a couple hundred dollars more more to get a CPU chip that has about 10% more processing throughput. 20% price increase for 10% processing gain.
I waited until there were nice price cuts on the 1.83 C2D Macbook as retailers dumped them to make room to stock new SR Macbooks. In daily life, they feel about equal, but I have a bit more money in the bank. True, you get Tiger for the OS now, but it doesn't seem like it is a huge gain over Leopard. By waiting, the 1.83 C2D Macbook was actually a little less expensive than a similar notebook from Dell.
For some people, style trumps function, and that's OK. If you're a sales rep or similar person, where you get brownie points for style, then it makes sense. Also, if you have the money and it makes you feel good, then why not...? You only live once; might as well be happy.
PS: you could buy the cheaper machine and donate your savings to a charity.

Why are the movies $1 more on apple tv than itunes??
i was looking on my itunes to day & saw the movies where cheaper on itunes, so why did i pay $129 for the apple tv when & can run my 4m hdmi in to my bravia ?????
Just to clarify:
Within the itunes store you can buy movies in:
480p (standard def.) = cheapest option
720p (HD) = Generally $1 more (if available to download in the first place, as not all titles are avail in HD)
1080p (HD) = Same price as 720p
On an ATV, by default you only have the option to purchase movies in HD (at the prices noted above), provided an HD format is available in the first place.
On an ATV-2, you cannot access 1080p rentals at any time (if you try a work around with itunes, you will be dissapointed... https://discussions.apple.com/message/18013054#18013054)
To access 1080p rentals within itunes, you must choose to download the higher stream (BUT FIRST)...
-you must turn on 1080p downloads:
1)open settings menu
2) go to preferences
3) click store
4)change the default HD videos preference (shown below) -
Why is the suite £800 more in the UK?
I'd like to buy the master suite, but I noticed in the UK we have to pay £800 extra. I understand countries outside Europe have to pay extra taxes, but most of the time the extra cost is very tiny or absorbed by the company. Adobe is asking almost double.
To stop me resenting Adobe, could you explain to me what extra costs Adobe has to pay when selling in Europe? When I see that the extra £800 I'd have to pay is is reasonable I'll gladly buy the £1800 suite.

The Design Premium CS5 (for example) is $1899 from the US online store, but is US$3250 for Australian customers. (The UK online price is US$2899.)
Adobe's standard response to complaints is that it needs the price increase to fund employees in Australia, but it hasn't got any here. And support for Australian customers is handled by the same call centre in India the US support has been outsourced to, so it doesn't seem to be anything other than ... well, it doesn't appear to be justified by anything factual. -

Why is the basic pack more expensive then the plus pack?
It says the basic is .99 cents for the first month and then 14.99 each month after, while the plus pack is 8.99 a month. Can someone please explain this or have i just misunderstood the pricing?
The basic is indeed more expensive, but can be cancelled every month, while the pro plan is billed on a per-year basis. Enjoy your day!

Now I really feel like I'm being forced by Nokia to switch to a competitor.
For a good while I've been avoiding Ovi suite updates, actually ever since Ovi destroyed my PC and forced me to reinstall everything, and I've been quite happily using the old version and having no issues with it.
But not anymore, ooohh noo! Somebody in Nokia decided that this time it's upgrade or die, Ovi suite doesn't want to start anymore, it's forcing me to upgrade. I can only imagine how that's going to work. Upgrade. Destroy PC. Can't reinstall because the old version forces the upgrade. Buy an iPhone or Android phone.

Seriously, why are you forcing your remaining few customers to move away from your product?There must be a reason for Ovi Suite to work at SOME platforms obvioulsy.
Otherwise they would never dare to release it.
But the programming team of Nokia workin on this Ovi Suite is way too amateurish.
I have spent 48 hours with some sleeptime now, trying to install and use this loads of **bleep** app.
Beacuse I wanted to have syncing my 700 contacts.
I made it almost.
Now. A progerammers manager should tell the programmer that there is some demands in design.
1. The app should be installed anywhere without problems.
That means it should NOT be dependant on imaginary files of certian versions existinng in the imagined envronment. Because they never do.
All files needed to make this app installed properly MUST be inside the installer app.
2. The apps position in the environment should preferaly be in ONE directory. (folder)
If you cannot do these simple things, you shoudl not pretend to be a programmer at all.
Nokia seems to be full of these types of guys never understanding what they are dealing with, And the manager is spendig too much time att the Nokia owners golfclub, instead of MANAGING the work.
How did I manage to make this work?
Well I called the support. "shut off your windows firewall..." Well it is not active, and has never been. Not any other firewall either. Not any virus program either except for Superantispyware. And Windows Defender which is run in a weekly basis. I have Acronis backups, but never used them. I have Win7 Ultimate (legal copy!!!)
Firewall I have in my modem... Why bother the traffic with more delays? Just because AVG and Norton wants my money?
If the crackers manage to put in some strange thing I usually fix it myself. I have been around PC's since 1984-85 when they first showed up in this country, With 20 mbyte harddrives large as 5.25 inch!!! =)
So I packed up the OVI installer and ran the install app found in Packages folder. Worked better.
But not wel. So I thought, "these guys had PC Suite installed before they invented this OVI **bleep**" So I installed the PC Suite first. Okay, ut worked for my old Nokia prety well, but not for the N8.. (duh) How difficult can it be? Here I understood one thing: OVI is all about me BUYING stuff. For the LATEST phone. OF COURSE!!! Phone allmost went out the window.
I do have made a near religious promise to meself that NEVER AGAIN BUY A FINNISH PRODUCT!!!
It reminds me about the wifes PC EEE which runs under a finnish OS: Linux... Holy **bleep** **bleep**!!!

During I written this I have run the installer inside the installer again an repaired the OVI suite as it is full of bugs, hangs an crasches. It has 5mm green bar and about 95% left to do, but it has never moved. I wonder what the hell it is waitin for? Some windows VC80 that is too old for som OODB or some database app that "the guys" didnt understand how to talk with. It is NET4 now, you see.... NET3 is oooold...
Well I managed to sync the phone with my bluetooth app, so this "Nokias moneymaker" is now out the window. Bye bye!
Werll if you want you can always find out what error 1603 is, that shows upp 2 seconds after you run the OVI original installer. Your support did not know it. And a support tech that is not having a programs error reporting list is just a clown. You better understand this, if you want to grow up from that sandbox, that is.... -
Why is the black iPhone 4/4S more durable than the white?
I've owned both a black and a white 4S
The black was much more durable, mine flew out my hand and hit the tap, no damage just a big scratch to the back glass because thats where it hit, but it did make the back loose
I had a white, and it smashed the back like 2 inches off concrete, I'm serious.. That's how fragile they are...

Why is the black iPhone more durable than the white? I never understood that...Not sure what causes it, but here are your choices:
1) bring it to a 3rd party repair shop and see what they say
2) pay $149 for another replacement
3) do nothing
4) buy a new phone (iPhone or otherwise)

For the first time, I downloaded a podcast in the podcast app by clicking on the cloud icon. Now, every single play button for all of my podcast episodes is grayed out. Why can't I play any of my podcasts any more?

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error with the Podcasts app. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Wild guess: you're using the the wrong export settings. You'll need to tell us more before we can help you - like the export settings you're usng, the size and format of the originals etc.

Why is the New FireFox so different to the previous version?.
Prior to upgrading if I brought up my FireFox page I had a header the same as my Google Page. The new/latest FireFox Page does not have the header with the options. Those options were,Images-Videos-Maps-News-Shopping-Mail and a More option with a drop-down menu. Why is this the case?.

I'll pass pass on the "why", although the reason given would be to improve Firefox by having a page that is on your system -- but the the content is not exactly on your system. I always find it amazing that there is anyone who uses the default home page, especially when Firefox has s builtin search bar. Even a couple of my friends who think the internet is their former ISP have there former ISP's page as their their home page.
To restore a Google search page you can replace your homepage with http://www.google.com then you will see those Google applications at the top of the window.
