Why is the task reference id always blank?

Hello,
I cannot figure out why the DAQ I/O indicator called AIN task reference id out, is always blank. After the attached bit of code, and somewhere else in my huge body of code, I call DAQmx Read.vi, and feed value of this AIN task reference id out, into it. I actually get the data back from the board. While I'm glad I get the data from the board, I cannot figure out why the id is blank.
Once, while the hardware was running continuously for weeks, analog input data stopped coming back to my software ... that's another story. I thought if I could track the task reference id, it would be a good start.

Task ID controls / indicators do not have a visual representation, largely because there's nothing for the user to sensibly edit. You can't just type in a new ID number and have it mean anything.
If you want to see the number, put a PROBE on the wire going to the indicator. You can see a number there (0 = no task).
Consider adding your case to this idea and voting for it.

Why needs the first reference much more time to close than all others?

Hi all,
I am facing a strange problem with closing an array of references.
A few words to my environment:
I can load dynamically VIs into a subpanel sitting on my main VI but if I unload and reload Visa I need to close my Visa properly, not just by stopping.
Therefore I wrote a closingVI which is attached. In this VI I look for a "Stop" button and send a true by signaling.
The problem now is that the very first reference in the "Control[]" needs around 40seconds to close, all following refs just need <1ms! By the way, the array size is just about 24 and it is independent which ref comes first.
In addition to that the problem just occurs when the VI runs longer than 10 minutes, which doesn't makes any sense to me.
Do you have any suggestions?

I don't know what you are referring to here. You are closing all of the Control references in a single node. Are you saying it takes that long for the Close Reference for the entire array?

If they haven't posted the calendars yet they had better get a move on, because Opening Day is Monday.
I love the National Holidays calendar--it shows up fine. But the sports calendars don't, and I would like to have a handy way of checking the home schedule because of traffic on the way home from work.

It seems that they have not been updated for 2006. If you check last September for example, I will bet that you will see the 2005 schedule. I have found updated schedules on iCalShare.

I can no longer print anything except text edit files in firefox. I used to be able to do this. now, when I try to print, when I look at the pdf file version of the page, it is always blank and that is what prints. a blank page

No one seems to have a straight answer why tasks from outlook can't sync to the iPad or iPhone without using other apps which are garbage and don't work with no reply from support people namely imexchange 1 and 2

Syncing Tasks is not supported. This has not been supported since day one nearly 4 years ago and no one here knows why. Syncing To Do's with iCal on a Mac is not supported either, which would likely be supported before syncing Tasks with Outlook.

Why is the Output Panel in Bridge blank?

When I select the Output Workspace in Bridge, the panel at the right is blank - no buttons, fields, or anything other than a monotonous dark gray surface. When I select the Output button and the Output to Web or PDF option, nothing happens.

Why is the "open with" option always grayed out when I click on a file link?

For example, when accessing an email account with firefox and I click on an .mp3 attachment the "open with" choice is always grayed out. This issue is not exclusive to email attachments rather all file links that I click on any site give me the same result. I am using MAC OS X Mavericks.
How can I restore the "open with" selection?

You can try rename (or delete) the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.

Why does the OS X Utilities always boot up after restart?

I restarted the mac recently today after school, and it suddenly booted up onto "OS X Utilities" insted of to my regular hard drive. I just want to get on my account again without restoring or reinstalling the operating system. Why is this happening? I don't want to lose any current information/files either... how do you fix this?

Once it boots normally open System Preferences - Startup Disk and check to see if your internal HD is selected.

Why is the Apple Weather app always incorrect?

For instance. Today, Huntington Beach, CA, it says the high should be 75 degrees but its currently 82 degrees.
It's typically 5-10 degrees off, every day. Beings that it is a mandatory app that is taking up my hard drive space, it would be nice if it was actually accurate. Very annoying. Yes, I know that there are other Weather applications that work better, but why would I want to take up more of my valuable hard drive space??

Why does the imessage sign in always kick me off when I try to enter my password?

Every time I tried to sign in to use imessage, as I am entering my password it kicks me off and tries activiating. Why is it doing that and how can I fix it?

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

When I click a link in Mail (Mac OS) Firefox opens two windows. The frontmost window is always blank. The other window shows the page to which the link pointed. I would like to avoid having two windows open.

Why is the first MIDI note always delayed?

Hi all
I'm having some trouble recording MIDI in Logic Pro X. When using virtual instruments (built-in Logic instruments) there is a latency issue with the first note. When recording or playing along, the first note I play has quite audible latency, but everything after that is fine, no latency. If the song is stopped and I am just playing the instrument it's fine, the problem only occurs when recording or playing back. If I am recording, the MIDI note is recorded in the correct place, it sounds fine in playback.
Really not sure what's going on. I've been looking round on the interwebs, and it seems that others are having the same issue, but I couldn't find any answers that fixed it for me. Any help would be appreciated
I am running Logic 10.0.7 on a MacBook Pro, using Mavericks.

This isn't just the first time after I select the track though, even if the track is in live mode it will still have this issue, if I record over and over on the same track, it happens every time. If I hit record, then use pitch bend or something like that during the count in it will be fine, but I have to do this every time I record, and it will create the new region early. I could do this every time I record, but I'm wondering if there's something else I can do to fix it more permanently.

Is there a way to hide the task bar that always displays in Mac OS?

I'm referring to the area shown in the attached image.

The menu bar is needed to turn off the Mac and to access to all the tools of all apps, so it's necessary to keep it there. Also, it can only be hidden when you are running a full-screen app (near all apps on OS X Lion and Mountain Lion work in this mode)
