Why is the time different on my Macbook Air and my iPhone?
Hi All,
For some reason the time on my iPhone is consistently 7 minutes behind the time displayed on my Macbook Air (Mavericks). Both devices are set to display the time automatically according to my time zone. After checking time.org, it looks like my phone has the correct time. There must be a logical reason why this is happening and some kind of solution, no?

On your iPhone ..
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then tap Settings > General > Date & Time
Switch: Set Automatically ON
No data is lost due to a reset.

Every time I close my Macbook Air and then go to use it again. My wifi is not connected, I have to go to the network diagnostics and basically find my network and reconnect every time. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
worksafe's link with the KeyChain fix is good.
This usually happens when KeyChain has two entries for the same WiFi network.
If repair did not work you can follow the manual steps:
Disconnect WiFi
Open KeyChain from Applications / Utilities and find your WiFi network entry(ies) and delete all of them.
Connect to your WiFi again. -

The hard drive in the MacBook Air is not meant to be user replaceable. Further, the OS installed on your MacBook would likely not run the MacBook Air.
A better solution might be to use the Migration Assistant to move your data to the new computer. This comes up when you are setting up the new computer for the first time.

I have a MacBook Air, bought in 2010 or 2011. It is running OS 10.6.8.
I have an iMac that is the same age as my MacBook Air. My iPhone is 2nd or 3rd generation.
None can support "the Cloud". I use gmail and my iPhone and both computers are all synced.
I can't get email on my new iPad that does use "The Cloud".

I got the new update for my macbook air and know it is saying that i have to pay for pages, numbers, and keynote and it said that it was free before i did the update.Can somebody please help... I need pages for a school report.
If you had the previous version of those apps on your machine then the upgrade is free.
If you didn't have them installed you must purchase them. -
I am changing to iCloud on my iMac, MacBook Air and my iPhone. My iMac and MacBook both moved over to iCloud but my iPhone when I go to Settings and click on iCloud it shows my Mail setting turned Off. When I turn it on it wants me to create a new email address to turn on iCloud Mail. I already have to "me" accounts plus another email address and don't want to create another one. I don't understand why it's asking me to do this on my iPhone but didn't ask on my iMac or MacBook and is there a way around creating another @me.com email address?

For what purpose are you trying to connect them?
The only supported Bluetooth function between a Mac and iPhone is internet tethering. -

What generation is your neighbour's and what generation is yours??
Sometimes the changes in the TC and firmware can make wireless fail.. also location is important.. the location of your neighbours might be better than yours.. his also might interfere with yours.. set a fixed channel and try the various channels.

Sure, but you need to work out how the network is going to work.. if you are still picking up network from wireless.. then set static ip for the TC in a different IP range.. set no gateway (router ip) or dns and it will work just fine. -
Why is the time different on my iphone4 for messages and reminders to the actual time on my phone
I have had to set the time zone on my phone manually as it is wrong. so now that shows correctly. However when i set a reminder and get messages. They show up as a different time zone altogether. So my reminders are coming through 12 hours too late. How can I fix this? I have tried resetting the time manually and automatically.

last night i removed some apps to increase my disk size..everything was fine.but today when i opened my macbook air.the size decreased from 21.52GB to 11.05GB.why is that?

Why does the screen flicker on new MacBook Air when I scroll?
I just bought a new MacBook Air a few days ago. I notice that the screen flickers when I scroll and is not anywhere near as smooth as on my old MacBook Pro.
I've experimented with this a little more. I don't think the screen is flickering necessarily but the scrolling is not always as smooth as I remember it on other computers I have used. The text looks jumpy. Maybe it's the operating system? I think it happens more if there is a lot of information to scroll through.
Is this normal? -

I started using the messages on my macbook air. Then I accidentally used the same Apple id for my Iphone. Now what ever messages I recieve on my macbook I also get on my phone. Is there a way I can unsync the two so that I can only get the messages on my macbook?

MacBook Pro Connects to Wifi while Macbook Air and 2 iphones don't
Today when we got home from work my boyfriends Macbook air couldn't connect to the internet, he restarted the router and modem and it still didn't work, my Macbook Pro connected as usual and is working perfectly, both of our iphones can't connect either. We tried forgetting the network on the iphones and ran through network diagnostics with the Air, at first it would fine the wireless but insist we were typing in the wrong password despite KNOWING we were doing it right and now it won't even see any of the 15+ networks in our apartment building. Any ideas? Super non-tech savy so it might be something stupid....

Time Machine not completely deleting all backups.
