Why is the toolbar in safari now black with white text after upgrading ipad 2 to ios7?
My (retired) mum downloaded ios7 onto her ipad 2 yesterday but is now complaining that when she launchez Safari and uses google, the toolbar at the top of the screen is black with white text. She remembers something popping up during upgrade in the left of her screen about Privacy (?) which she clicked. Is there any way to return the tool/menu bar to its standard white with black text? Thanks.
Tap the blue + sign in the upper right part of the toolbar. That will open a new tab with Favorites on the screen, if she has favorites in Safari. In the lower left corner she will see the word Private. Tap that to return to normal viewing mode again.

Why is the item count in Photos for Mac significantly higher after upgrading from iPhoto?
Since upgrading to Photos for Mac from iPhoto, I've noticed the number of photos and videos in my library is higher than what I had before. Granted I imported some photos into the new app since then but taking that into account there's still a big discrepancy.
In iPhoto 9.6.1, the item count is 13,394 and I have since imported 95 new items into Photos for Mac. The total then should be 13,489 but Photos for Mac lists the item count at 13,626. That's a difference of 137 items.
Even taking into consideration that Photos for Mac might be including the 32 photos and videos that were in iPhoto's Trash (now Recently Deleted) folder, it still wouldn't account for 105 mystery items.

Album List view in iTunes is black with white text
iTunes just started doing this yesterday. All other views appear normal. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and the problem persists. Anyone have the same problem?

Black background with white text?
Just installed the trial and am trying to figure out how to get ALL the windows to be black with white text. In prefs I can set the main viewer and filmstrip to black but all others remain gray. I've seen all kinds of screenshots fro Apple so I know it can be done. I did check through the PDF help but didn't see anything there (unless I'm just missing it). TIA.

There are a few options that may be considered here, so I will give brief details of the ones I am thinking could help.
The OS itself may have options that help, and you may as you have tried select to use chosen settings but these simple solutions are often unsatisfactory.

That may well be worthwhile trying as an alternative to simply changing font size and colour.

How do I change beige tabs with white text to beige tabs with black (or some other dark color) text?
Classic Restore changed by FF 29 tabs to beige with black text on the active tab and to beige with white text on the other open tabs. The white text is not visible. How do I change the white text to a darker color?

When I customize the toolbar in Safari, it only shows the changes temporarily. If I quit Safari and reopen it, the toolbar reverts back to how it was before. Any ideas?
Check System Preferences. Look at the bottom of the pane. Do you see Evernote?
I just installed it so I could find it.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left. Now open the lIbrary folder then the Internet Plug-Ins folder.
Move the Evernote.plugin to the Trash. Restart your Mac. Try Safari. -
Why is the contents of Safari's downloads folder different than the actual folder?
Why is the contents of Safari's downloads folder different than the actual folder that resides in my users folder?
Problem is if I delete that .plist I'll delete those downloads. I'm still able to launch those downloads from that location so that tells that file is probably not corrupted. I need to be able to located that folder and transfer the downloads from it before I do anything like this. So that begs the question, where is that folder located? When I do a folder search I'm taken to a Downloads folder, but it's not the one that is showing up from within Safari as it's contents are too different.

I am hunting for help in being able to see the text in the toolbar on Safari... also, it would be helpful, too, if I could even enlarge the icons there. I'm dealing with a vision problem and finding that it's quite frustrating when I discover I've clicked on the wrong thing or I can't find what I want to click on up there. Took me awhile to get on a Mac that has Safari 5 on it, (I hate Safari past 3.x, so never update or use it).
Anyway, I see no options for that at all, though I think it was rumored that 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 would have it!
I think your only options are to use the Zoom in Key Combo of CMD & +, or if you don't have a numeric Keypad then CMD+Shift+equal sign, or in System Preferences>Universal Access>Seeing tab, turn Zoom on, then Option+CMD+= will Zoom it in, Option+CMS+minus sign zooms out again.
There may be some 3rd party system hacks around the text part, but they usually cause problems sooner or later. -

are you zoomed in too far to see that part of the layer that has content? Does the layer you have selected definitely have content? Try using Ctrl/Cmd 0 to zoom back to fit to screen.

You changed the proper preference, but you don't need to relaunch iTunes. You do, however, need to click the blue OK button at the bottom right of the preferences window. The change will happen then.
