Why is the Top Half of the Frame Black?

Can someone clue me in as to why Media Encoder CS4 & CS6 (as well as Premiere CS6) are now loading all my Windows movie files (WMVs) from Google Earth Pro showing the top halves of the frames completely blacked out? This is a recent problem. There were no such issues before, but now I can't even load older WMVs intactly into Adobe apps. without that same problem with blacked-out upper halves of the frames -- even in movies that I used to be able to open in Media Encoder before. Interestingly, these movies do load and play intactly in Windows Media Player on my computer, and they even load correctly into my co-worker's Premiere 5.5 on her computer, but I cannot get them to load correctly in either Media Encoder or Premiere on either my home or work computer. What's going on?? Help!!

I would agree with Keith Barkley, it may be the TV Safe Area. You can see what spots might be blocked out or cut off by going to iDVD and opening the original DVD project, under the View Menu > Show TV Safe Area. If your title gets cut off by the cropping rectangle displayed, that may account for the cut-off.

We have an iPhone 4S and can only see the top half of the screen.

We have an iPhone 4s and can only see the top half of the screen. The phone works fine as far as making calls and you can kind of text, if you can figure out where the keypad is. Is there a fix for this or is it trash? It is out of warranty and we don't have insurance on it.

I have a very similar problem on the same versions of Firefox and OS X as the OP.
For me, the cutoff problem occurs on the top and bottom of ALL pages intermittently, depending on the line spacing of the current selection (or so I assume).

Likely because the drop broke something like the digitizer.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Why would links or search bars on the top half of the page not work on any site when i use firefox but work fine in IE?

links and search bars on the top half of pages dont work and its not that i click them and they dont work but it wont let me click them its like it doesnt see them

Recently, the Yahoo Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to overlap invisibly over the top of the web page display. If you have either or both, uninstall or disable them/it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

With the last update two days ago, when you load firefox the top half of the screen is burred and the middle is an black box....why, how can this be fixed

Is this happening when using the App Store or some other App?
Try to rotate the iPhone and get the keyboard to appear in landscape view or on the flipping the screen while keeping it in portrait mode.

Most of the top half of my Edit Menu in Safari is grayed out. How can I get it functioning again?

Yesterday and today the top half of my Edit Menu in Safari 5.1.10 is grayed out and unusable. I have tried everything I can think of including reinstalling Safari, repairing permissions, restarting. I am at a loss. Can someone tell me what to do to get the menu working again?

I'm replying to my own question - I have no idea what has changed in five hours, but I just logged on again to see if anyone had repllied to my question - and the problem is fixed! A total mystery to me, but thank you anyway. I think these discussions are of great help when you have a problem and no "guru" to go to. Thanks.

The printer prints only the top half of some lines while printing at faster speeds. Some documents I try to print will only print at a faster speed and I don't know how to slow it down

Take it apart again and find out and fix what you messed up.
First I would try restoring the iPod. to factory settings/new iPod

Hi, I see I haven't had any responses but these problems haven't been fixed.
I still haven't been able to transfer purchases from my phone to my comp so consequently have stopped purchasing on my phone.
I bought a couple of albums recently via itunes on my comp, and tried to tranfer them to my phone via a playlist, but the sync often crashes. One album transferred except for one song, and the other hasn't at all. What happens is that when I autofill from a playlist it often hangs for ages on the first song and then I have to quit the application altogether as nothing happens for ages. Basically, the whole Itunes software freezes.
After this I find it hasn't transferred any songs, but they do appear greyed out on my phone, which means it has transferred some basic data such as the titles, but not the song itself. When I try to repeat the process to complete the transfer Itunes tells me that it can't transfer because the songs are already on the phone, but they are not!! I can't click or remove on the greyed out items, so now I have a couple of almost full albums on my computer that I can't tranfer or install on my phone, and a whole bunch of greyed out songs on my phone that I can't play or remove!
The rest of the problems as above still stand. I downloaded the latest itunes OS updates but nothing's changed. I haven't done the very latest iphone update yet though because it says you need to make sure your stuff is backed up, and I don't want to lose the purchases I made on the phone that I can't transfer to my comp. I'm planning on uninstalling itunes completely and reinstalling but I have little faith that this will fix the issue.
Can someone please help at all?? I'm so sick of this!
