Why is the "Workarea Wizard" menu disabled?

My have installed the SCM and created Repository successfully, but why is the "Workarea Wizard" menu disabled in my RON?

I believe Workareas are exclusive to a Versioned repository. You will have to enable versioning. Use the RAU menu /Option/Enable Version Support/
Just note once you have initiated a the versioning option you can not go back to an unversioned world.

Logic Pro X - why is the sends context menu so hard to bring up on existing bus

Why is the sends context menu in the mixer window so hard to bring up on a bus that has already been assigned, e.g when you want to change or remove it? If I want to remove a bus send from a channel or change the bus number, I should be able to click on the bus and select the option. But it seems to only come up some times, not consistently.

Just happened to me. Then realized that I had clicked the "link" button off in the Piano Roll Editor and clicking it back on fixed it.

Why does the 13.01 update disable custom extensions?

Hi, I had a custom extension (a custom panel made with Adobe Configurator) installed that was working fine in CS6 (PC, both 32 and 64 bit versions) but after the update to 13.01, the extension no longer loads. I have tried reinstalling the extension but that doesn't help. I can no longer select it from the Window > Extensions menu.
As it was working fine before the 13.01 update, I can only imagine it has something to do with that specific update. Any thoughts on how I can get my panel to work again?

To avoid that, one needs to
1. Save the original template.manifest.xml somewhere and move the original xml file back before updating.
2. Uninstall Configurator 3.1 and install Configurator 3.1.1 when the new release is ready.
1. Make sure Configurator 3 is not running.
2. Replace the file [Configurator 3 Installation Directory]/bundles/PHSP-13/template.manifest.xml with http://cssdk.host.adobe.com/configurator/3.0/manifestTemplate/template .manifest.PSCS6.xml. Make sure the name of the replaced file is still template.manifest.xml, not template.manifest.PSCS6.xml
3. Replace the file [Configurator 3 Installation Directory]/bundles/IDSN-08/template.manifest.xml with http://cssdk.host.adobe.com/configurator/3.0/manifestTemplate/template .manifest.IDCS6.xml. Make sure the name of the replaced file is still template.manifest.xml, not template.manifest.IDCS6.xml
4. Launch Configurator 3, open the gpc file, export the panel as CS extension and install it again to replace the old one.
Note: The recent update of Photoshop CS6 and InDesign CS6 does not impact the panel exported via "File->Export Panel", only impact the extension exported via "File->Export Panel as CS Extension".

Why is the transition type property disabled?

I'm doing a VI similar to the Digital Waveform Graph example. But, as in the example, i find the transition type property (changeable on the plot legend) enabled only for the first plot and disabled for the rest. I want the plots to be shown as the second transition type style. What have I to do to enable and change them?

I was reading in the Help that:
Transition Type�Determines how LabVIEW distinguishes differing values on the plot. This only affects plots with more than one bit.
I'm guessing the behavior you're seeing (which I also see) has to do with the fact that this property "only affects plots with more than one bit." I'm still trying to figure out how to configure that. Are you familiar with this?

Why does the migration wizard run every time I start up my mac after upgrading to mavericks ?

After upgrading to Mavericks, I log in as normal but then a migration wizard starts up asking me where I want to import data from and create new accounts. Why and how do I stop it ?

It could be part of OS X's Resume feature. Any app that is open at shutdown will re-open on boot unless the tick in the following image is deselected when shutting down/restarting:
Also check that Migration Assistant isn't listed in System Preferences>Users & Groups>Login Items.

Why is the color labels function disabled by Mavericks?

If that were the case, we would still have punch paper tape, and 80 column punch cards, and 8" floppy disks, plus the 5.25 floppy disks, and the 3.5" floppy disks, RS-232 serial ports, SCSI ports, built in modems, etc....
Apple has never taken the position that something is Sacred. They were the first to throw away RS-232 ports. They were the first to throw away floppy disks. They have abandoned any number of ports on their own equipment ADB, SCSI, Mac video ports by the dozen, VGA, DVI, microVGA, microDVI, Ethernet ports, internal modems, etc...
On the software side there are lots of stuff Apple has stopped developing. They have done this over and over again.
The Xtrafinder and TotalFinder additions do give you back label behavior, so I suggest looking into them.
Besides the above mentioned feedback link, you can also use Apple's Bug Reporter <http://bugreporter.apple.com>, you do need to get a free Apple developer account, but it is free.

Ios 5.1 issue - why have the music controls been disabled when iphone is docked?

I just updated my iphone 4s yesterday, and immediately I have a huge problem.
When I dock the phone in my car (using a Denison dock) OR connect it via bluetooth to my car stereo, all of the music controls are locked!
The Music App becomes a white screen with "device connected" written on it, and there is no way for me to play/pause/skip/browse music on the handset.
Even double-clicking the home button, the audio controls are greyed-out and don't function.
I am furious about this, why break something that was working perfectly before? It's not for safety reasons because the iphone is happy for any other app to be used while docked. I use my iphone in the car all the time, and it is utterly USELESS if I can't use the Music app normally.
I have tested with docks at home, and this issue seems to occur only when the connected device can also control the iphone. I need to stress that no car controls can allow easy use of the Music app - it means you have to take the device off the dock to make any changes in what you're listening to.
PLEASE can this go back to the way it was!?

Found another post with a similar issue after upgrading to ios 5 and this worked for him, I might try this tonight and will re-post if it worked for ios 5.1:
1)Connect phone
2)Hightlight your phone on the left side of the iTunes window
3)Click on the music tab towards the top middle of the iTunes window
4)Uncheck "sync music"
5) Click "Apply" down on the bottom right At either this step or the preceding step you might get a
pop up box that says "you have made changes" or something like that, click okay or apply.
6)After this is finished, check to make sure there is no music left on your iPhone by double clicking on your
iPhone in the left hand pane of iTunes and then click on "music" under your iPhone
7)If there is no music on your iPhone, then recheck the "sync music" and then click "apply" down in the
bottom righ.
8)If you have a lot of music it will take hours to sync, but when finished your Dock accesorries should work again.

Why is the "Choose File" button disabled when trying to add a photo to my account?

I have an iPad 1 and when I try to add a photo to my profile the "Choose File" button is disabled although I can choose a different Avatar. I suppose I could log in using my phone and try but that would defeat the purpose :-)

Thanks CCTM, I searched the drop down help 'Logic Pro Users manual' no info found on muting or on regions.
I googled the problem and found the answer in an old post in Logic pro help-ctrl click on region for menu and problem is solved.
I the searched in the next drop down choice 'Exploring Logic Pro just to see how difficult finding these answers could be, and it was there.

Why is the font typeface menu in a different language?

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Same in Keynote and Numbers but only with certain types of font. Helvetica font formatting options (bold, italic, etc) are all in Arabic, whereas Georgia seems to be in Russian! Any suggestions welcome.

Oracle installer scripts in Delivery wizard is disabled in Project builder

Hi,
I have oracle forms 6i installed on my system. However, I was trying to builld installer scripts for my project. So I open the deliver wizard in Project builder. Select all the parameters, like project name/directory etc.and then when I reach the option of creating installer scripts, it is disabled while the others like,
Deliver to local staging, Deliver to a remote staging etc is enabled.
Any ideas, why I the installer scripts are disabled.?

in the section Managing Your Application the following statement about project builder:
"Remember that you can automate the running of test scripts just as you can automate actions associated with the modules in your application.
How would one do this???

Don't see Presentation services in the windows star menu|OBI

Hello,
I have installed in "Basic mode" OBIEE version 1.3.3. I have chosen "complete". I had no error message during the installation.
When I check in services, I have "Oracle BI Presentation Server" which is present, when I try to reinstall OBIEE in custom mode, the installation tells me :
Oracle Business Intelligence Presentation Services (installed)
Oracle Business Intelligence Presentation Services Plug-in (installed)
So why in the windows start menu -> Oracle Business Intelligence, I don't have "Presentation services" ?
I only have :
Administration
Administration help file
ODBC client
Start OC4J
Stop OC4J

Job Manage

Go to Start->Services->Run and type in Services.msc. There you would find the Presentation services. You would also find 3 other services like BI Server, Java Host and Scheduler. Bi Server and Java Host should also be started to make it work. If they are somehow not there, try starting them from command prompt using sawserver.exe, nqsserver.exe and sawjavahostsvc.exe.

Why does LV(8.0.1) still track the keyboard shortcuts of disabled menu items?

Hello all,
when I disable a (super-) menu item, the submenu-items are grayed out as expected. But they still accept their keyboard- shortcuts. Is this a bug in LV? If I explicitly disable the submenu- items, all works fine, but the simple method would be nicer and comprehensibly.
I made a VI to illustrate.

Hi Dave,
it seems a bit strange but at the end it is a absolutely correct behaviour. If you deactivate a menu item than all sub-menu items are deactivated in the menu bar. But that is only a feature of the menu bar. To disable the short cut you have to deactivate the sub-menu item itself. In you zip-file the <STRG - C> is deactivated but the <STRG - V> still works. That depends on the settings in your test3.vi where you defined the items to be disabled. If you add "Paste" to the array of items or if you disable all items then the shortcuts will be disabled as well.
