Why is there a 2 hour difference between calendar event times after syncing? i.e., Dental appointment set at 9am on iphone but shows as 7am in icloud on pc after syncing.

I noticed that when I enter a time for an event on my calendar on my iphone then sync it to icloud the event is show but the time for the event shows a 2 hour difference. Example: Dental appointment set for 9:00 am on my iphone but after sync to icloud on my PC, it shows the time to 7:00 am on my PC calendar. Why is this?

I found where to check icloud settings. Changed setting from Pacific to Central. That solved the problem.Thank you so much.

Welcome to the Apple community TMOZINGO.
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

  • Is there a big performance difference between HD's

    Hi All
Is there a big performance difference between a 5400 & 7200 Rpm hardrive? I'm asking because I want to pick up a new Imac and am stuck between choosing the higher end 21.5" and lower end 27" and am trying to determine if the difference in price is worth the extra sheckles.

I was wanting to know the same question (5400rpm vs. 7200rpm) in a 15" standard MBP, deciding on whether to get a 1TB serial ATA drive @ 5400rpm vs. a 750GB serial ATA drive @ 7200rpm. (Sorry to jump in)
For the most part, I'm a general user - web surfing/research, Word processing/Excel/Powerpoint (pretty basic), etc. BUT I do like to take alot of photos and plan on doing some editing on them (nothing advanced) and creating slideshows with my photos/music (ex. my Europe trip of photos or a slideshow of the grandchildren as a gift to my parents, etc.)
Some folks mention "video editing" in reference to gonig with the faster speed (7200rpm) if that's what you plan on doing. But, what do they exactly mean by "video editing"? Is slideshow creation the same?
Just wondering for my needs, whether I should go with the 750GB serial ATA drive @ 7200 rpm or the 1TB serial ATA drive @ 5400rpm ($50 more yet with more storage space which would help with my increasing photo files every year).
    Thanks

I converted video into frames. There is a big difference between video size(700 MB) and All frames size(More than 5 GB). What are the reasons ?

Please, are you sure that you posted this in the correct forum? This is the Adobe Captivate forum, not a forum for video created with other applications like Premiere Pro.

    hi all,
how to calculate the hour difference between two dates?
    eg i trying this...
    ((TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(GRNi.reference_date_4,'hh24:mi'),'hh24:mi') -
    TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(NVL(GRNi.reference_date_3,SYSDATE),'hh24:mi'),'hh24:mi'))*24)*60 Act_Hr
    Reg.

    Hi
To break the diff between 2 dates into days, hours, minutes, sec -- you can use the following:
    select to_char( created, 'dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss' ),
    trunc( sysdate-created ) "Dy",
    trunc( mod( (sysdate-created)*24, 24 ) ) "Hr",
    trunc( mod( (sysdate-created)*24*60, 60 ) ) "Mi",
    trunc( mod( (sysdate-created)*24*60*60, 60 ) ) "Sec",
    to_char( sysdate, 'dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss' ),
    sysdate-created "Tdy",
    (sysdate-created)*24 "Thr",
    (sysdate-created)*24*60 "Tmi",
    (sysdate-created)*24*60*60 "Tsec"

  • Differences between Calendar and Reminders

Hi, anybody can give help and let me know the differences between Calendar and Reminders? I found the Calendar got all functions of the Reminders. If I want to mark an appointment, which one I should choose? Calendar or Reminders?

I look at this way. The Reminders app is sort of a To-Do list for simple tasks. It's like writing yourself a note electronically ... Pick up milk on the way home, let the cat out, don't forget to stop at the post office.., things like that.
The calendar app is a more robust app that allows you to share your meetings and appointments with others - if you need to or want to do so, it has the ability to repeat recurring events ( with some limitations), it has the option for multiple alerts (2) and more customization than the reminders app. You can select from and use a number of different calendars in the calendars app as well.
if it were me, I would use the calendars app for appointments,

  • Difference between Business Events  and Complex Event Processing

    Dear All,
Can anyone let me know the difference between
    Business Event -> http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integration.1111/e10224/obe_intro.htm#CHDIBHBE
    and
    Complex Event Processing->http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e14476/overview.htm#g1024628
    Are these 2 same?
    Thanks

    Hi.
Complex Event Processing Server(CEP) is an entire Product.
Business Event/Event Delivery Network is just a Messaging/Event component part of the SOA Infrastructure.
So, if u r interested on event correlation from different sources, high performance on analyzing those events + operations among the data generated on those events, CEP is ur option.
    Hope this helps

  • Difference between method,event handler,supply function.

    hi,
i wants to know what is the difference between
    method.
    event handler.
    supply funciton.
    Regards:
    Pankaj Aggarwal

    Hi Pankaj,
These are few lines from the F1 help documentation given,
Web Dynpro: Method Type :The type of a method defines whether you have an event handler, a supply
                                                function, or a (normal) method.
Event Handler : Handlers of an event, a controller, an action, or an inbound plug of a view.
Method : Modularization unit within a view or a controller. Methods of a view can only be called locally
within this view. Methods of a controller (component or custom controller) can also be called from
a view or another controller, provided the controller is entered as controller used .
Supply Function : Method for filling a context node.

  • Difference between Avg OLAP time and Avg Frontend Time

    Good morning all!
What is the difference between Avg OLAP time and Avg Frontend Time?
I thought OLAP time would be included in Frontend time, but the numbers are not matching up?
    Thanks so much!

    Hi,
Front-End time is the Renderring time of the object at the front-end. Basically when ever a BI Application or BI application object is executed it spends time at various levels like at Data Manager, OLAP, Planning, Front-end. Can check the stat's in view RSDDSTAT_OLAP.
When the query is taking long time so u need to the time at ST03 Tcode/else RSDDSTAT table .Here u can find the DB time , OLAP time, Front end time If the DB time is more than 30% of time of total time then you got for Compressin , aggregates, indexes partitioning.
The capture of query runtime statistics is done differently in 3.5 and in BI 7.0
However, the OLAP time and DB times are always captured as two different things.
In 3.5 refer to fields QTIMEDB and QTIMEOLAP. They are two separate measurements. In 7.0, they are TIMEREAD and TIMEOLAP in rsddstat_dm and rsddstat_olap tables.

  • Difference between busniess Event and object event

    Hi All,
Can anyone explain to me what the difference between business event and object event in Beehive?
    thanks

Business events are events that are exposed for integration with policies, audit, workflows, user notifications etc.
Object events are an internal-to-beehive system service that are consumed within Beehive Services and are not exposed for application or user consumption.
