Only dirt that it comes into contact with can be transferred to the smart case. Dirt doesn't just occur. -
Will ipad mini smart case discolor?
I want to purchase ipad mini smart case but I'm worried if it would wore out and discolor like iphone leather case.
Although it has nice looking, I don't want to spend money on a case that will not last long.
Can anyone tell me their experience?It's a physical product that will endure wear depending on how you use it. No one but you can say how you will use or abuse the cover. In any case, I would rather have my cover wear than leave my iPad screen unprotected. That said, my iPad cover wore fine for over a year. Then normal signs of aging.

The gopro transfer worked with my original iPad. Is it the lightening technology?If you've gone through all that and it's the right kind of SD card, right naming convention etc. try giving your iPad a reset. Sometimes that port gets turned off (for lack of a better term) and a reset turns it back on. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again.
If it still doesn't work, if you have access to another iPad try the reader on that. THere are some defective ones out there. If it works on another iPad then there's something going on with yours. If it doesn't work on another iPad then you may want to take that reader back and exchange it because it may be bad. -

Of course not, why make something a buyer could fix himself when Apple can diagnose it and make repair charges so ridiculously expensive that they will offer you a 6% trade in discount on a brand new model? lol And make it sound like your stealin it from them at that price. Did I mention this happened to me? lol. The headphone jack works just fine. When the speakers show up I'll slap those in and have an awesome $162 ipad mini!

Does it have something to do with the MFI certification? Is micro USB just cheaper?

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. There is no one here from Apple to answer "why". Again, I would recommend contacting the manufacturers or use the Contact Us link at the bottom right of every page for information on how to contact Apple directly.
I suspect that manufacturers may view the more standard microUSB charging port as a selling point. Those types of cables are cheaper and ubiquitous. -

Are you using the same apple ID and password?
it seems all is in order, but perhaps the password isn't valid.
if the reset didn't work, try signing out of iTunes and App Store, then back in.
have you tried going to App Store - purchased and tapping on the cloud icon for the apps you want? You will still be asked for your password. -

Why doesn't my iPad mini show as a device in iTunes?
I just got a new iPad mini and was planning to sync my iTunes library to it. I've never had issues with syncing my iPod and I understand how to sync and choose playlists. BUT: when I connect my iPad to my computer, the iPad never shows up as a device detected by iTunes. ALSO: It will not allow me to copy over any music manually. I would prefer to not use iCloud, as the iPad and the iPod are the only Apple products I own. I have already downloaded my purchased iTunes onto the iPad, but really would like to grab some of my imported files as well!
The only thing to note: when I last logged into iTunes on the computer, it found an update. However the update did not complete and gave me an error. I've tried multiple times to update it, but it keeps erroring out (does not say what the problem is). Other than this, could there be any reason why iTunes on my computer doesn't detect my new iPad mini??Are you using iTunes 11?
