Why is there no option to enable SMS? to text

My son's blackberry needs some repairing, so I gave him my ipod, i have an iphone. The ipod used to be able to text any phone type
(including Blackberry), now there is the imessage but it says it only is usable between devices that support iOS 5, seems kind of limiting to me. Is there anyway around this or do we have to install another app? An app where the person on the other end does not require that app?

I understand that Blackberry cannot support iOS anything. I am curious why at one point in the near past the ipod could text any phone via the built in messaging app and since more recent updates it cannot. Why go backwards with technology? I was under the impression that imessage was free because it sent your messages via WiFi, in which an ipod should have the same capabilities to send SMS as the iphone does?

Glad you found it. I believe it is under the Sounds settings, right? And I also believe you can custom set vibrations for each contact just as you can change text tones by editing the contact and selecting text tone or ringtone.

Why is there no option to "hide sensitive notifications" on my phone?

Why is there no option to "hide sensitive notifications" on my phone? (LG G3) I just updated to Lollipop, and it now it shows all my emails and texts on the lock screen which is not cool. When I tried to search for a fix, I found that you need to choose "hide sensitive notifications" under the "Sound and Notification" settings, but that option is nowhere to be found. Help!

I have figured it out. It's really dumb. So you need to set the locking mechanism (pattern, code, whatever). Then go to Settings>Sound and Notification>Lock Screen> Show All Notifications. Then when you go to Settings>Sound and Notification>Apps and pick something like "messages", the "sensitive" option appears.
So essentially if you choose the "Hide Sensitive Only" it seems to think that all are sensitive and you can't pick and choose. But if you "Show All", it will let you decide what is sensitive. Very complicated.

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

open the same program ans selection-screen screen no will be 1000 in se51 screen painter,
go to properties of the texts u want to change then go to display tab and check the checkbox bright.
it may or may not work but this will work in module pool .

Why is there an option for Notes Syncing?

Hello,
Looking to clear something up about Note Syncing. Why is this an option? When I make notes in Mail.app they live online in my inbox or other online subfolder and I can get at them from any of my other Macs that have Mail.app set to check that account.
What am I missing here? Is the Notes sync item in mobile me syncing preferences for syncing offline notes, ones that you put in an "on my mac" folder? Why wouldn't you just put these notes up in the cloud like I do...it seems like there is no upside to this note-syncing ability.
I have looked around for an official textual description of what Notes syncing is for but I can't find one. It seems to solve a problem that doesn't really exist. Can someone straighten me out, maybe there is a good reason why I should actually be syncing notes?

Yeah, I did find a lot of people posting that they wished for this feature for iPhone and it has been promised in the past. I do not have an iPhone, so the questions would be if you put a note in your inbox, how does the iPhone currently treat it when you check your mail? It would still seem that sync is unnecessary 'cuz the note still lives in the cloud. Ha ha I guess the bottom line is that I am not really trying to solve a problem, with or without Notes Syncing tuned on I can get to my Mail notes anywhere that I have Mail.app setup...but I was just wondering if I was missing out on something, you know, conceptually...

Have you checked on your PC for locally created backups? I also remember that iTunes has the bad habit of overwriting backups from time to time, so maybe check

Maybe if you find a backup containing all of the apps you could at least get the data. Best.
In the iTunes app go to Preferences/Devices and check how many different backups are there and the dates. Perhaps you missed being offered which backup to use to restore your iPhone.

Why is there no option to change UI to allow classic type button control? New control is too spread out and fundamentially useless.

Why was this ever changed? Why was it changed without asking/polling? Why is it so spread out? Why would it be purposely made, to make it difficult to browse the web? Why would you sabotage your own product?! I am NOT the only person out here asking these same questions! I am NOT a conformist, I do NOT like having something taken from a product I use, I do NOT like not having the option to have it as it was, I do NOT like to search for the basic buttons of navigating, I do NOT like having to move my mouse from one end of the screen to the other, just to stop a page quickly [which cannot happen as it is too darn far away now!!!!] This has been driving me absolutely bat-shit for quiet a while now! Why doesn't apple provide an option to change the snooze time on their devices?? I find this really stupid, it's one of the most obivious thing to add in an alarm clock. Yet that option isn't there! Why??!! Isn't iPhone meant to be the smartest phone in the world?? I'm starting to doubt that. Common apple!! Add an option to change snooze!!!!

I kind of had a feeling Apple wouldn't really have a direct line to themselves. They'd probably get too bombarded with questions. But I'd really love to know why they didn't add this option?? Why is it stuck at 9 mins snooze? And why 9 mins, what the ****?? That's a very odd snooze time. And would it be likely that they would add it in the near future? I don't like using 3rd party apps. They don't always work and they have to be running if you want the alarm to work.

Ok, nevermind. Just downloaded the one from Apple. No idea why they would delete this from iTunes in the first place. Grrr. Then again, I also wish they would not have changed the Radio function on iTunes to go from streaming actual radio stations to making it like a Pandora. I just finished a phone call with customer service to go over some details and was told leasing is now the only option! Why is that the only option? Have any new customers get their own from eBay or Craigslist recently, were you able to use them? If that is the new policy, I'm going to have to rethink my move to AT&T before my 30 days are up. My local cable company gives a modem with the cost and a router is a $5/mo. upgrade.

Bean counters figured out ATT could make more money renting RGs instead of letting users on ADSL 2+ buy RGs.
That was the only option availble after Jan 15th, monthly fee.
