Why is there no responses when i install the oracle8i?

Question

I want to install oracle8i in my computer,but everytime when i double_clicked the setup.exe file(I just copied it from a disk),there is no responses.My o/s is windows2000 advance server. I have tried in another computer(os is windows2000 professional server),it's the same,then i change another copy of oracle8i(downloand from oracle.com),it's also the same.
What's the season? Anybody can tell me how to resolve this problem?

hi Pankaj!!
I have installed oracle 8i on windown NT . during Installation it asked
me for SID which i gave as ram. installation completed successfully..
but if i am connecting
it using sql plus it is not connecting. if i am connecting oracle by..
User name = system
Password = manager
Host string= blank
oracle is connecting but if i give...
User name = system
Password = manager
Host string = ram
it gives error
TNS-12560 TNS:protocol adapter error
so any idea what could be the possible cause for this???? and tell me how should i solve this problem..
