Hi, I am really curios now, how did this guy's setup not get any top or best score compared to that of number 1 to 3 ?
What could go wrong ? His system is probably already the best. what i notice is just the ram 8gig vs 12gig and above. And probably the raid but vs ssd ?

You are correct about the “green” drives, due to their relatively slow random access speeds and their tendency to spin themselves down when they're idle for longer than a certain length of time. Some of the “green” drives are actually as fast in sequential transfers as most of the current 7200 RPM hard drives.
That $90 price difference between the i7-2600K and the i5-2500K equals a 20% to 25% difference in overall performance in CS5 (when both systems are properly tuned). That’s significant enough to justify spending the extra $90 to $100 for the i7-2600(K) over the i5-2500(K) for CS5, especially in terms of the total cost of the system's core components (which includes not only the CPU, but also the motherboard, RAM, GPU and system, work and storage drives - which when added all together less than 10% of the total cost of such an editing system is due to the price difference of the pricier i7-2600K CPU over the i5-2500K CPU). In other words, the <10% price difference of an entire system due just to the change in CPU is truly justified by the 20%~25% boost in performance. The two i5-2500s were ranked pretty low in the PPBM5 results list, largely because they were hobbled by too little RAM (only 4GB in each of those two systems), and also due to several miscellaneous issues (such as software configuration).

Ebay images look fine on mine. Image zoom doesn't work, but that's not suprising. I also support a number of public and private websites wth a number of images (some pretty large). Those look fine as well. If the Apple website looks good, there is no raeson other sites shouldn't as well.
For eBay specifically, I'd recommend using its app, but in general, you could try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset. -

Yeah, once people get hooked on streaming music, they tend to be much less interested in purchasing downloads, and especially not from a music store that sells songs in an inconvenient (AAC) format instead of the de facto standard, MP3 format.

Why is this video render taking a long time?
OS X Mavericks, Photoshop cc 2014, 2011 core i7 3.4 imac with 32GB ram, 256GB ssd scratch disk, 2GB video card.
See images for layers setup, etc., and for export settings. Each 'slide' is a jpeg under a MB placed as smart object. Each lower third is about 2 MB placed as smart object.
Render takes about 24 hours to complete. Why is this taking so long? I've tried this on other machines but they all take about the same time. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks, in advance, for your help!How long are the video clips and I see on at least one you have added a camera raw smart filter. I do not know how a smart filter operates on a video clip. However if Photoshop need to renter a full frame for each video frame and filter each frame image with ACR then encode the frames into a mp4 video stream it could be a very time consuming process for nearly 170 thousand frames. Have you tried encoding the mp4 without using the ACR smart filter adjustment? You also do not show the Timeline palette.

When I purchase movies from Itunes I am unable to view them. But when I rent a movie it is viewable. Why is this?
Heres what I don't like about VLC, but at least the files are viewable...somewhat.
1. You can't flip the image 90degrees, needs to have a rotate feature for sure. This needs to have keyboard shortcut so vids can be rotated easily as one may have shot video horizontally and vertically in the same take.
2. Opens file to a very large window, most of it off the screen, it should REMEMBER what you resized it to, so the next time a video is played you don't have to drag the window back on the screen so you can get to the resizing handle in the lower corner.
3. Doesn't buffer while playing, so the movies are extremely erractic, starting and stopping every 3 seconds, highly annoying.
OK so maybe my PC is too slow, its a dual processor 486 Hyperrthread 2.8G but I only have 2Gigs of memory, however, bettery than 50% of the memory is still available while playing a vid (memory is checked every 4 seconds with a program), but I have 90-100% CPU useage going on while playing.
Maybe I should think about a new computer. -

What happens when the Mac goes to sleep (not just into idle mode or display sleep)?
On all Macs:
The microprocessor goes into a low-power mode
Video output is turned off, and a connected display may turn off or enter its own idle state
Apple-supplied hard disks spin down; third-party hard disks may spin down
On portable Macs:
The Ethernet port turns off, if applicable (see note below)
Expansion card slots turn off
The built-in modem, if present, turns off (see note below)
An AirPort card, if present, turns off (see note below)
The USB ports only responds to the power key on an external keyboard (see below)
The optical media drive, if present, spins down
Audio input and output turns off

I created this short motion graphics project in AE and PR Pro for my hearing protection client in Switzerland for their "Sleep Plugs" product. She asked for a European look and feel, where tasteful nudity is common in advertising. Our target demographic is males, aged 18-35. The client posted it at her Zurich-based company’s website and hoped it would spread virally. We believed there was actually a good chance of that happening since we have three main elements of a viral video: sexiness, surprise, and humor. However, the number of views was much lower than we had hoped.

Please give me your thoughts on these questions:
1. It was my intention to set the viewer up to expect that the couple was going to have sex, then to provide some unexpected humor when she goes to sleep and snores instead. Did you think that was funny?
2. In an ideal world, this would have been live video, but, for budget constraints, and since there would've been very little movement in a video anyway, we went for a graphic approach, basically a pan across a wide, horizontal photo, with music bed and voiceovers, and logo/tagline at the end. Do you think this was an acceptable compromise?
3. With the outtake-style photos at the end, It was my intention to add a touch of silliness and show that we are not taking ourselves too seriously. Do you think that worked?
4. What do you think of the voiceovers?
5. What do you think of the choice of music? (I wish we could have had Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On"! altho, not sure how big that is with 18-35 year old males in Switzerland.)
6. These next two may be the most important questions: the context the video was presented in. My intention was to have the viewer sucked in by the sexy partial image and want to know more, thinking "What is this? . . . a joke? . . . porn?!?" (remember, they are 18-35 yr old males!) and watch it long enough to get to the joke and the appearance of the product. (I know I have watched several videos that turned out to be ads, but they were so entertaining and well done, I did not mind. In fact, I admired how they sucked me in!)
My client posted the link to the video on her company Facebook page, with the comment "Check out our new video." The link led to her company's official website and the video appeared on a page surrounded by other text, photos, and the company's name. It is my opinion that this took away some of the incentive to watch the video, since now the viewer already knows it is going to be an advertisement. Would you agree?
7. I feel the video should've been presented "in a vacuum", so the viewer would have no fore-knowledge of what it was or why their buddy forwarded it to them. I think links to most viral videos lead to YouTube or Vimeo (not to a company website.) What do you think would be the best method of distribution for this little video?
And, if you have any other thoughts, please let me know.

I have to agree with Jim. A still image screams 'cheap'. If I didn't watch the video with the intention of providing feedback, I would have tuned out after about 5 seconds, before even getting to the 'punch line'. With so many bad videos on YouTube, people's attention span have been reduced to mere seconds. If we don't like what we see in the first few seconds, we tune out and click on another link. I imagine many people who watch this video never get to the end since the moment they see it's a still image that probably won't change to live action, they think 'cheap' and tune out.
For a video to go viral, people have to want to pass it on to all of their contacts. For this to happen, they have to imagine that others will thank them for sharing the video, not roll their eyes and ask 'Why are you wasting my time with this?' "sexiness, surprise, and humor" are not enough for a video to go viral. You also need great execution.
3. Didn't work for me. It makes it look like the commercial and product are a joke, especially hearing the guy's laughter in the background. First the commercial would have to sell us on why the product is worthwhile/needed, which is doesn't.
4. The girl's voice is sexy, but it does not match the visuals, thus it ends up sounding fake and unnatural.
The guy's tatoo is a huge distraction. Is it a human heart? Why is it there?
Low budget doesn't have to mean a cheap look. Unfortunately the titles and the transitions (push, ripple dissolve) at the end also scream cheap. Nobody uses these kinds of effects on TV, so it's best to leave these for home videos and out of any professional work. Push transitions can work, but usually only if it's a quick transition, around 3-8 frames long. Slow push transitions scream 'Power Point', which in turn screams 'cheap'.

Hi, I'm having the same problem as well. It shuts off after reaching 20-30% and asks for recharge, then after 5 minutes I can turn it back on, but it keeps shuting off unexpectedly
Bad thing is that my warranty expired 130 days ago. Apple doesn't want cover a new battery replacement (and it costs $400 here in Brazil)
Clearly it's a manufacturer malfunctioning.
How did you proceed with it? Did you solve this problem? I have an Iphone 5 with iOS 7.1

Why does this ring operation occasionally give an error?
I am using LabWindows/CVI, and I created a low-level ring acquisition. It works normally at first, but if I stop it and start a few times (does not always happen on the first stop / start cycle), then I get the error:

I stop my acquisition by :

Then I unlock my ring buffer, dispose each element, and finally dispose of the buffer list. The next acquisition starts by creating a buffer list, creating and allocating each element, locking the buffer list, and configuring the session to use that buffer list. I am NOT closing the session or the interface, I only do that upon quitting my program. Why do I get this error??

Bid = 0;I have made some progress on narrowing the error down, but it still remains a large problem. Error trapping allows me to avoid the necessity of rebooting the system. However, I must still close and re-open my LabWindows application in order to successfully acquire from a ring.
I have narrowed the problem down to the buffer index provided by "imgSessionStatus" : on the acquisition that throws an error, it returns "-1" as the current buffer index. Why is this??
I have modified my program so that I close both the session and the interface when I hit "Stop", and yet I'm still receiving this problem when I attempt to restart the ring acquisition after stopping. I have also started using "imgStopAcquisition" instead of "imgSessionAbort". What could I not be properly resetting after I free, dispose and close the buffers, buffer list, session and interface? Obviously the resource is being properly freed upon application closure, so I must be missing something ... -
i have my wifi in my home with secure connection when i get connected to it ,it asks me the password and when i entered it, it shows that unable to join the network why is this happening...........
You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money.. -
Some of the birthdays I have entered in Address book appear in my Ical one day and one year earlier than the date I have given. Eg. I have entered a birthday in Address book as 23 March 2011 and it appears in Ical as being on 22 March 2010. Other names have no problems. There are only some that do not appear with the correct date and year. Why is this? Has anyone found how to correct this strange problem? I have Time Zones ticked.
Bronze2011I'm having this exact same problem, but it's doing it with a bunch of birthdays. I also did 0001 when I didn't know the birth year, so I went back and did a more current year, but they still aren't showing up where they should be...or at all. It's completely bizarre.

i have installed snow leopard 10.6.3 on to my macbook which was currently 10.4.11, i wanted to do this so i can run Final Cut Pro 10 which needs 10.6.8 or higher. so i updated the snow leopard to 10.6.8 installed final cut pro ok. the problem i got is else where i cant save on put anything on desktop, it says i dont have permisson, and when i try and click on my documents same again. also i adjusted my dock to smaller added a few applications onto it, but every time i restart the laptop it defaults back why is this?!! so annoying. i had a look at my disk utilites and i have still got 10.4.11 on my Macintosh i can switch too? i installed the snow leopard 10.6.3 on my Data Disk. can anyone help me out why i am getting these problems and what i need to do to solve it?

I cannot send an email from my iPad 2? No problem receiving, why does this happen? Have tried the suggestions for setting up email and after doing the sync mail through iTunes receiving worked great but still cannot send? Any help would be great!
The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.

I created a form, I want the email notices to go to several people. Why is this so difficult? It seems like they have to be a co-author/reader or something? I don't get it
This is crazy! I paid for this service to make it easier to create forms for a company that has had several acquisitions all over the globe. This was supposed to make it easy to create forms hosted on adobe so no matter what happens on all their servers, we would be safe using this forms service until we can integrate all acquisitions and build a permanent web site on a single server. Now I find out that even this is a major issue sending emails to team members, many I have never met so making them a collaborator or even setting up forwarded emails is not something I wanted to do. This service was advertised as simple and easily send notifications to many people. I am now frustrated and thinking this was a waste of money! Why is it like that?
