Why is top border black hiding icons after last update?

After the last Firefox update, the top border around the menue bars is black thereby hiding the menue icons. Why? How do I change this? This is on my Vista system.

Ok, something came up earilier, and I just now got back to work on this. Sorry for the delay. The good news, is that the parts of the Zoom Page icon that I couldn't see, now show up. I don't know what happened to change that. I had shut down and restarted at least twice since the update (and probably 3 x), and before posting this. I didn't post right away, because I thought it might just go away. But it didn't happen soon enough, lol.
otoh, the icons are still white. Now that you mention the white text in the menu bar.....I can't remember if it was white before. Actually it works very well, at least in the menu bar, and I like it. But I just can't remember if it was always white. So there's a chance that also changed with the update, because I typically tend not to like white text, and probably the persona did not set up like that initially. And I don't especially like the white text on the tabs, so I think the white text is new too. But definitely the white icons are new! (Actually I might be able to find an old screenshot somewhere -- I'll look after I post this.)
Could the persona have received some kind of update? Hhhmmm, well it seems that the Zoom Page add-on did receive an update. Maybe for some reason, it took 2 or 3 restarts to initiate, or something? But apparently the persona was not updated.
I searched my computer for "lightweightThemes.usedThemes pref", but didn't find it. Can you tell me where to find it?
btw, I haven't tried the Firefox safe mode thing yet. Is that still worth trying?

Why don't devices appear in iTunes after last update?

I recently updated to the latest version of iTunes (10.7.0.21) and I don't see any of my devices in the sidebar even when plugged into the USB. I tried performing a repair and still nothing. My PC indicates device drivers installed when I first plug in but still nothng. I can access the store, request help and authorize without a problem.

I followed all the steps and it still not recognizes my iPad.
I had to recover my iPhone to have it recognized by iTunes on Wi-Fi.
Do I have to do the same with my iPad ??! It's a nonsense for me and a real waste of time !
Things are going worst (since 2 or 3 years now) each time a new version of iOS and/or iTunes and/or OS X is released.
Come on Apple... Wi-Fi syncing worked perfectly before iOS 8 and iTunes 11 or 12.

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPhone. The red End Call button should still be working.
For initial troubleshooting, I would suggest restarting and resetting your iPhone, and also updating it to the latest version of the iOS software, which is iOS 6.1.4.
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Display about 20% darker, Dim. Happened after last update.

My imac display is dim, kinda dark. Happened after last update and I have googled like crazy to find a solution, no luck so far. This is what i have done so far.
- I have tried several settings in the Energy Saver part of settings.
- Brightness is set to 100%
- I have tried several Display Profiles and also made my own.
- Did reset the PRAM, NVRAM several times.
- Even started it in safe boot etc..
- Reinstalled OS X completely
It seems like a software related problem. If i press sleep the screen of course goes black but the interesting thing is that when it wakes up it is back to the normal nice brightness for about 5-10 seconds then goes dim again.
Screen is at the normal brightness when using boot camp, windows.
Please if anyone has a solution, thank you.

I'm not convinced that it is a software issue, here's why: Our DVD burner stopped working so we brought it in to the local Apple store for repair. BTW the machine is 2 & 1/2 y.o. and yes, I purchased the extended warranty and I'm so glad I did (usually I pass on them). Anyway, they replaced the burner, we picked it up and when we plugged it in at home I noticed that the display was nice and bright and then went dim!
I proceeded to change the display brightness controls as well as the gamma settings. I got it to look better (still not as bright as prior to repair) but it still got bright and then dim after waking.
Since there were no software issues with the burner replacement, other than perhaps some drivers for the burner???, I attribute it to the repair!
Just my $0.02 and would welcome any suggestions as to what it is and how to resolve the issue.

HTML animation effects doesn't work after last update

After last update my html animation that have different effects with different time: fade, translate, rotation, scale, ecc... plays but some effects doesn't play.
Various animated png in html project appears immediatly without shows transitions or deformations.
I have made html animation with Motion Composer that have time curve for each effect.. and all work fine with previous dps desktop tools...
I don't use Hedge because folios with hedge animation is mooooooooore large than folios with motion composer animation.
A single complex animation (10 .png(1024x768) with multipe effects fo each) made with composer produce a 1MB folio...
The same animation made with Hedge produce more the 100MB folio.
why new version of dps don't show my html anim correctly ? I hope adobe correct this proble.

A long story about your issue... I think the reason of this is why you have deleted some registry keys. If you delete something in the Windows registry you should really know what you do. You can damage the complete Windows system!
So I think this is the reason why the keyboard doesnt anymore.
In the user manual I have founded that the CD-ROM booting option is only available with optional optical disk drive.
So for me it sounds like that your USB CD drive is not compatible to the notebook

Sounds like a permissions issue.
- repair permissions using Disk Utilty
- re-install just safari 2.0 from Tiger disk1 http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301229
MUST FIRST REMOVE THE Safari.pkg file from: HD_1 > Library > Recipts folder > safari.pkg.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with the camera on your iPad. I recommend following steps 3-8 below for the issue you described (these steps refer to an iPhone, but these steps are applicable to an iPad as well):
Camera isn't functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

ITunes no longer opening after last update.

ITunes not opening after last update on my main user. Second user is fine however accesses different library.
Computer freezes when attempting to open ITunes. Have also searched for the sync services file but is not located under reveal in folder or go to options.
Apologies I am not the best tech savy person and have read other posts trying to solve the problem. Other posts asked for the following reports.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - we are an apple household and this is effecting everything!

No autofill after last update

My Ipod no longer appears in the list when plugged into my computer. As a result the autofill button is gone and I cant update songs to my 1st generation Ipod shuffle. This came about after last update. It's as if the system doesn't recognize my Ipod although I continue to get the message that the Ipod is syncing and the system signals me when the syncing is complete.
My main concern is how do I go about autofilling now?

I said to click on the button NEXT TO (to the right of) the Settings button, which should say "On This iPod" in the current version of iTunes. The Settings screen is what iTunes is currently showing so clicking on Settings again will not change the screen.
In previous version of iTunes, you also clicked on the "tab" next to Settings to get a listing of the shuffle's contents, and the Autofill button. It was just called something else instead of On This iPod (I think it was "Contents"). So the procedure itself has not changed in the current version of iTunes.
I have a 1st gen shuffle, and that's how it works...

Battery drain after last update (5.4.0.4165)

After last update battery consumption went up to 40%, reinnstalled and it dropped to 26%. But that is still way too high. Especially since I barely use it on my phone..

Thanks for submitting feedback about the battery life of Skype for Android. The developers of the app are making great strides to improve the functionality and other aspects, including battery life, so that it runs better for its users!
Skype, by nature, does use more battery than many other apps. It should be understood that it has to constantly contact Skype's servers in order to receive incoming call, chat and contact data. You can reduce the amount of battery usage by closing some other apps that you do not use, reducing screen use time, ensuring that you are in areas with good reception (because cell standby greatly reduces battery) and rebooting the phone after a day or two can make a difference in your battery life.
Remember that the development team has surely made it a priority to make the app consume less battery and kill off the bugs that cause that. They probably have more in store, so just you wait and see! Things could be looking good! With you posting this, they'll take notice and probably work to reduce that 26% usage to something lower in later updates!
