Why Is Verizonwireless's Web Site So Bad?

I wanted to send Verizonwireless a question about the overcharges on my bill but they don't have an online form for that. So I thought I would post it in a forum but they don't have a forum for overcharges. In addition, the web site kept asking me to create a new identity despite the fact that I alrady had one and was signed in with it. So I created a new identity but still cannot find anyway to communicate with their billing department other than snail mail.
I tried earlier to use their chat service but after I was connected and asked my question it went dead and then it said that all of their chat agents were busy and to try later.
It took an hour and a half talking to their technical support staff to get my new phone activated and it only gets one bar at 3G when my old phone gets three bars. It cannot connect to 4G even though I am in an LTE coverage area.
Please do not respond to this as I had to create a new identity to vent as I could not get a login prompt and will not be using this identity again.

As for the signal issue, do not rely on the number of bars, somewhere under Settings you can view your signal strength. Let us know what that is.
Honestly for billing, I would call. When you connect, just say AGENT. You will be asked why you are calling and you respond and will then be connected to billing.

My layout belongs to the WebAsset group.
The document inside the default page belongs to Public group and Web/FP/RepMetiersSP account.
Public group has only read access to everything.
Also, what is the difference between unspecified group (inside site studio designer) and Public group ?

Why won't specific web sites open

Hi,
I cannot access my own website with my main computer. This is hosted by a commercial provider. I can open it and retrieve mail with a G4 laptop, MACBOOK and a PC (Vista) through the same Airport/Switch/Cable modem path.
This just started yesterday. The problem is seen in Safari, Firefox and even a FTP program. When I perform a 'traceroute' in the console I get;

I'm using a broadband cable modem. Every other website I try opens normally. I'm even using the G5 to write this message.

Hi,
As I opened the Network settings (again) to check the DNS server settings (empty as usual), I noticed that an ID had been inserted in my 'DHCP Client ID' box. It was my computer's ID name. This is not required by my local network or the cable provider. I'm scratching my head as to how the field got filled. I haven't even opened the Network settings in quite a while.
Once I emptied the field, pressed 'Apply Now' I was able to access the website and e-mail from that site. After 10-30 seconds it stopped working again. If I change the location from Automatic to another choice, it starts working again. After 10-30 seconds it again stops.
I opened the Console and viewed the System Logs. I cleaned it and started recording when I changed locations. The connection worked at 16:47:34 (Appletalk startup complete) and stopped at 16:47:42 (mDNSResponder:ERROR...)

Versions on the web site

Why can't the web site include the current versions of Skype somewhere. I don't trust the Check for Updates features. Why? Information box says the current version is 6.21 and yet my Skype says 6.20 and also says no new updates.

The currently latest Skype version IS 6.21.

No web site expert here but I would suggest changing the .m4v to .mp4 and ask one of those friends if they still have problems. .m4v is something I always associate with iTunes and don't really see it used elsewhere.

Why can't I access the APP web site with my iPad3??

I just purchased an iPad3 and really like it. I tapped the APP icon to load a few APPs but it would not open. I get the grey-white page with an hour glass spinning. After a few minutes the page closes and kicks me back to the iPad desk top. I tried this several times with the same result. I tried to open the APP web site by going through the Safari browsers but ended up getting the same results. Anyone know why the APP page will not open???

those are some addons that other users have reported to cause the same problem in the past: Gom player, Ask Toolbar, DivX (Plus) Web Player, RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin...
in case you have one of them present, try to disable/remove it - otherwise you could disable all your extensions & reenable them one by one (a restart of the browser might be necessary after each step) until you find the culprit.

This happens when someone drags the HD or a system folder icon to the iPhoto Window by accident. Solution: restore from back up created before this occurred.

How to complain about bad web site

A web site came up when searching for another website. The website pretended to have the name of the site I was looking for. When I selected the false link I was taken to www.mawords.com which showed a header that implied it was the site I was looking for. When I clicked to exit the page another page blasting an ad opened in a new tab that took over my screen. I was forced to endure the unwanted advertizement until I found a way to escape (close) the tab.
This is a bad experience especially for the average (novice) web user. How can mozilla users complain about these kind of pouncing and abusive web marketers?

Hi agitator, there are a few things that you can do to report that site. The first thing that you can do is to report it to Firefox/Mozilla. You can do this by going to the area where you can get to the settings on Firefox. You do not want to click on Firefox. Insted what you want to do is click on the question mark. This is the help area. One of the options on this is "report a web forgery" . That information will go to Mozilla so that we can help other people avoid that site. If you want to report it to law enforcement and you live in the USA you can go to [http://ic3.gov ic3.gov] .
