Why is your software crashing every half hour?

I am trying to do job searches. It is more than frustrating when one is entering data and Firefox crashes every 20-30 minutes and then I have to re-input all of the data all over again.
I have downloaded 17.1 and yet I am still having the problems. What is the problem?

Why every half hour or so does my iPad camera app stop working?

Every like half hour or so my iPad camera app stops working. I tap and It and a blank screen appears. If I turn my iPad off and on again it works fine.

There are any number of reasons why that might be happening. An app confict, low memory (that's not supposed to happen but ...), so it's hard to say for sure what the issue could be.
You could try closing the camera app until you need again, and see if that makes any difference. Unless you really need to get to the camera app every half hour for whatever reason, there should be no problem in quitting the app.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps.
Then just launch the app again when you need it.

Phone dings every half hour

Hi there
I'm wondering if anyone knows why my landline is making a little ding noise twice every half hour? It's a Wild and Wolf series 302 plug in phone. It doesn't have a separate power supply, and is plugged into an asdl filter.
It's been dinging every half hour since we first plugged it in on Saturday. Phone line normal (had engineer out on friday for separate issue).
It does it at 5 past the hour and 35 mins past the hour which is a bit strange.
Any thoughts?

A phone line has 50DC V on it provided by an Exchange Battery... When you receive an incoming call it converts to 75AC, it sends the 75AC in two short bursts repeatedly which hits a capacitor within the NTE/LJU and in the case of most modern phones, especially cordless a capacitor in them, this then trips the bell in the phone to go Ring Ring, Ring Ring, Ring Ring......
Anyway, your phone may not have a capacitor, just because it's modern doesn't mean it will. What kind of phone socket do you have? Is it a BT or Openreach branded NTE5a?
I was gonna suggest if you have a non standard LJU such as a decorative one it could be it has no capacitor and AC leakage from other circuits causes your phone to tinkle but as its every 30 mins that's unlikely?????
if the ringing was random it would make more sense, i know the Exchange does routine night testing but that's not every night and it's only done at night, never during the day and they would test the same line every 30 mins so it won't be that.......

Weird Sync Message Every Half Hour

About Every half hour, I get the following message or something very similar from RIM. It is filling up my Blackberry and my Outlook Inbox and is very annoying. I deleted my e-mail once and it stopped for a few hours before resuming.

9/10 times this is caused from someone installing the blackberry desktop manager program as 'BES' rather than BIS...
The email you are getting is for when a device is to be connected to the Blackberry Enterprise Server within a company.
You have either install the Desktop manager program incorrectly (highly likely so uninstall it) and also check under options > advanced options > Enterprise Activation - that you have nothing in here..

Disconnection every half hour on 802.11A and G

Hello,
we installed our 14 APs "1131", WLC version is 5.2.178.0.
we are testing it at the moment, but it seems that each clients are disconnected every half-hour, on all radio slots and we have only one WLAN.
I thought it was DHCP lease issue because I configured for renewal every hour and DHCPREQUEST start at 50% of lease, but I reconfigured it for DHCP lease at one day.
Can you help me on how to debug it ?

Check the parameters for things like your authentication timeouts & key rotation times.
It might also be worthwhile to do a spectrum scan (netstumbler - www.netstumbler.com - it's free) and see if there's some external interferer.
You don't provide many details about the size, spread, number of users, etc, so answers are going to be fairly general. Post your(sanitized)config if possible.

I can just see that scenarios can be scheduled on hourly basis only.
Please guide me how can i schedule scenarios on half hourly basis also.

Open your scheduling and go to Execution Cycle tab and Under Repetition select "Many Times", then set "Interval Between Repetitions " as 30 minutes or so.

Radio streaming stops every half hour or so.

I stream a radio station. However it stops every half hour or so. How can I keep it going? Internet speed is down 80 and up 9 megabits.

Well, I don't know if you actually read my post, but I've already upgraded the firmware and power cycled it. Those setting are at their defaults: 100 for beacon interval, 2346 for frag thresh, and 2432 for RTS thresh. But, I did change them to the provided numbers yesterday; no change.
Let me provide some more info. I also share my wireless internet connection on my laptop and hook up my Xbox 360 to it. Also, the router is three years old. Is it normal after this time frame for it to start malfunctioning? Should we go out and get a new one? I'm talking purely by hardware lifespan right now, we don't need a new one just because it has some more bells and whistles; the one we have now has worked well up until now.

Schedule report at every half hour interval from 5:30 AM to 5:00 PM

We use BOXIR2 and our client has requested to schedule a RealTime Webi report at every half hour interval from 5:30 AM PST to 5:00 PM PST daily.
We tried scheduling the report but there is no option present in BO where we can select the start time or end time for a day.
Could you please let us know how we can achieve this?

I believe its not a good idea to set the date daily. After a lot of research on this, I found that there are 2 possible solutions for this.
1. Create 24 daily schedule for the report(s).
             i.e.
              1.     daily 8 am
              2.     daily 8:30 am
              3.     daily 9 am
              4.     u2026
              24.                daily 5 pm
2. Create a batch file that will craete a file and delete it after 10 secs. Upload that into Windows scheduler as it will run this batch file at every half hour and till 5PM only. The file created by batch file will be trigger to run report.
Does that sound good?

Sync synchronizes the status when some changes happen. The team has been working in create a Instant Sync feature that will arrive in the next version of Firefox (Firefox 7).
What you are trying to do it's not an available feature.

Why Does iTunes 6 crash every time I try to open it????

I'm ready to tear my hair out. This is NOT what I want to be doing at 11:43PM. It all started because I wanted to download the song "Wild Thing" the other night. I got a message indicating to download it I have to upgrade to iTunes 6. Given that it's a free upgrade, why not. After a couple of days of assorted problems doing the installation, finally got that right (or so it seemed).
However, every time I click to open iTunes, it immediately crashes. When I click to report the crash to Microsoft and follow the link, I get this message (my narrative continues after the Microsoft info below).

Go back to a version of iTunes that worked for you. When I upgraded to 6.0.2, I crashed every time I plugged an iPod in. I went back to 6.0.1, and everything works fine now. Make sure you completely uninstall your current "upgrade" of iTunes, then go to http://www.filehippo.com/download_itunes/
to get a prior version of iTunes for installation.
Please respond if this works. Seems like problems after the 6.0.2 release of iTunes for Windows have been rampant. Like you, I assumed that every upgrade of iTunes was automatically an improvement. Not so, at least for me and a lot of other users.

Fatal Error: iBA crashes every 2 hours

I have lots of crashes with iBookAuthor. During typing, the app suddenly closes without saving. Have lost lots of work because - there is not Autosave and when I'm in the flow I dont save for half an hour...
This is what the console app says about it:

Do you have other application and folder windows open or application minimised and not in use? If so they are taking up memory and its better to close anything and everything you do not really need available.
Its no good blaming iBooks Author for not saving your work, if you know your machine crashes, its a simple mattter to save every paragraph or so. Its also wise to save a copy on a separate storage drive.
.jpg and .png are OK to use - but remember they have to be an acceptable size, full details in the Asset guide and in Media in the help files. 1024 x 768 or 2048 x 1536 maximum.
Not sure if the console report is saying the application as a problem or if the problem is due to the content in current use.
I suggect you save everything in two places and using "Appdelete" or similar, unintsall iBA check the library to ensure all entries are removed and shut your maching down. After too many years with Windows, I also remove the power plug so everything drains and after a minute re-boot and download iBA from the store.
You lose nothing by doing so.
