Why isn't an option to open Pages available with rtf email attachment?

I was able to open an email attachment in Pages on my iPad2 before, but the option has disappeared. How do I get it back?

Pages doesn't support RTF, so it won't appear as an option when you try and open the attachment. The file formats that Pages for iOS supports can be found here:

No option when opening a pdf from an email attachment

I recently had trouble opening a pdf file that was attached to an email, and while mucking around with it, I tried opening it up in Word (which didn't help that particular problem anyway). Unfortunately, now, all my emailed pdf files open up automatically in Word rather than Acrobat Reader.
So now my question is, how do I get them to automatically open in Acrobat reader directly from the emailed attachment instead of Word? At the moment I have to save them all to my c: drive, then right click on them and select Open With Acrobat Reader 10. What I want is for them to automatically open in Acrobat Reader 10 rather than having to save them all to my c: drive first because I have many, many of them to print out. Can anyone help me with this please?

Can you try saving any PDF onto your local machine (say C:\) and then right click on the same.
1. Click on the "Open With > Chose Program".
2. Select Adobe Reader 10 and make sure that you check the checkbox "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
3. Click on OK and you should be good to go.

Second language option on opening page

(Using iWeb 3.0.3)
What I would like to arrange:
1) The initial opening page appears in Japanese text, with
2) an 'English' button displayed. When that button is clicked on,
3) an identical opening page appears, with the same features, only in English text.
4) This would seem to mean having two web sites, one in Japanese and one in English. Some of the content might be different, that is some items on the Japanese side would not be available on the English side, and vice versa.
A) Where can I get information and guidance on this sort of arrangement?
B) Is there anything especially important to know about this kind of arrangement?

There's no need for special guidance.
Create two page, one Japanese and one English, and link them. You gave the answer in item 4.
If it gets too complex, use a pencil and paper to draw lines to outline the navigation between the pages.

How to open pages documents with windows vista

Does anyone know how to open pages document with windows vista? i saved it onto a usb stick but when i tried to open it on the computers in my university which support windows vista, it didnt reconise the file and opened with a page of question marks!!!! Im panicking now!!!!!

You cannot open it on Windows Vista. The only application in the world that opens a Pages document is Pages, and it is Mac OS X only.
Your options:
1. Find a Mac with Pages installed, and save the document as doc or pdf, which you can open on Vista.
or, if that is impossible,
2. Open the files in a texteditor like Notepad.exe on Windows and try to piece text fragments together to get at least part of your original text back. The images should also be available somewhere, even though all formatting is gone.

In the Print dialogue, click the PDF button at lower left, choose Mail PDF
The result should be a new email document with the pdf file attached.
Address and send.
The procedure applies to any document which may be printed, not just Pages documents.

Having trouble sending an opened Pages document on my custom letterhead as anything but a PDF (which compromises the logo graphics) or an attachment. Can an opened Pages document (have to convert to Word for my recipients) be sent by email without cutting and pasting?

No, you have to use attachment of a pdf or word file or do the copy and paste.

Opening Pages automaticly with Spaces

Does anyone know how to get Pages started with Spaces automaticaly without having to open a Dokument first?

Well let me explain. I've got Pages into the first Window in "Exposé & Spaces. So wenn I start the Computer, all programms that I put in there, are being automaticaly started. But wenn I press "ctrl" and "1" for getting into the first Spaces, Pages is not activated like for example Safari or Mail. I first have to go to the shortcuts and push the "Pages" button to activate the program. But i try with your sugestion and see if it works. Thanks anyways.

I suppose you might, but probably don't, which is why you are huffing and puffing.
Probably this is about Pages '08 not opening the later Pages '09. Given that Pages '09 introduced many features that Pages '08 didn't have, it is not too surprising.
Remind me what it costs to buy Pages '09 from the M.A.S. to use on as many computers as you want.
Also remind me what it costs for Ms Word, or even lunch. I'm sure you have blown more on a whim than you ever will on something as useful as Pages.

Why isn't yahoo mail sign in page not loading from any browsers on desktop?

I am experiencing this problem from yesterday where the page stops loading when I click on yahoo mail. It stops right at the sign in page with a blank page, thus I am unable to access yahoo mail. I have tried different browsers and even different users, after clearing cache, cookies and internet history. I did notice I am able to access yahoo mail without any trouble from a different pc altogether and from a mobile device. I assumed the problem would be fixed overnight but it's still not working. I have never experienced this problem before. Please help. Thank you.

Becasue this is only a feature in IOS 5. If you do not have ios 5, then you cannot updat from the ipod.
Open itunes, connect ipod. It will prompt you to update.

Why isn't my itunes program opening on my computer?

Why does the same pdf sometimes open in Photoshop with a white bkgd and sometimes transparent?

I am opening the same pdf file on two different computers with the same version of photoshop. Why does it open with a transparent background on one computer and a white background on the other? Is there any way to force it to open with a transparent background? Thanks.

You have different versions of the shared PDF libraries on the different systems and/or different settings on PDF handling, most likely. This can affect transparency. The PDF libraries are shared between Adobe apps, so this may be dependent on anotehr program having changed something in that area...

Any idea why Preview won't work for opening PDF files with this OS?

For some reason, after the last update to Mavericks 10.9.3, any time I attempt to open a PDF using Preview, the file will not open. No response from the system. Any recommended solutions? Thanks in advance!

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

I am trying to authorize a new I-Mac for my I-tunes account. I am being asked my security questions and I don't remember the answers. The online help shows a way to get your answers emailed to the address on file. There is not that option for me when that screen pulls up.
