Items often go on and off sale in the Store, especially items (like Harry Potter movies) whose distribution is being closely managed by the label, in this case Warner Brothers.
It will probably come back on sale, but we don't know when. If you don't want to wait, you can buy it on DVD.

Does anyone know why Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is not available in the ITunes Store? Part 2 is available, but not Part 1. Why?

But I purchased Part One through iTunes. It's here on my hard drive. But it's not appearing in the iTunes store. I found an outside link here:

When you click it, it tells you that this item is not available in the US store. In iTunes on my computer both the movie and the iTunes extras are showing as an Unknown Album. Makes it much harder to find in my library.

I'd like to rent Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 but it seems to be missing from iTunes. I actually thought I rented it there before. What happened to it? Why can't I rent it now?

A bunch of people have asked this recently. The distributor, Warner Borthers, has for the moment taken Part1 off sale, for reasons that are entirely up to them.
It will likely come back on sale at a future date, although we can't say when.
In the meantime, you may wish to pick it up on DVD.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 in 3D?

Any one else heard this rumor? I saw it on a news site earlier, but couldn't access the actual page because it tried to make my computer die...and MuggleNet is blocked at work...
Any information, thoughts about it , etc?

The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Warner Bros. will release both parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 3D. The article reads:
"Early 3D-conversion tests on Warners' remake of 'Clash of the Titans' have gone so well that -- combined with boosted enthusiasm for 3D in the wake of the 'Avatar' tsunami -- the Burbank studio has decided to release not only 'Titans' but also the two-part 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' in 3D."
The cost of transferring each film to 3D will be roughly $5 million. The company will pay an additional $5 million per picture for 3D glasses to theaters handling the movies.
Please treat this all as a rumor until we receive confirmation from Warner Bros.

It is also available on Amazon as an instant download.

I suspect you're right about licensing, because the same thing has happened with most of the earlier Harry Potter films. They appeared in the iTunes Store on or about the DVD release date, then disappeared until approximately the next movie's DVD release date. I'm sure Deathly Hallows 1 will reappear eventually.

Does anybody know, because they haven't started pre-ordering it yet and it comes out on the 12th. Also I was looking at the Warner brothers site that is Harry Potter and all they mentioned to get it at is Amazon and the warner brothers music site. I really hope itunes is offering it because I put money on my account just so I could buy it from them.

Be Available For Purchase?
I've written several emails asking when iTunes will have the new Harry Potter available for purchase and haven't gotten a straight answer from anyone. I get what seems like form letters with BS answers each time. Does anyone know where I can ask this question and get a straight answer?

Sorry, but no one, either here or at Apple can or will answer that. None of us, being just your fellow users, know, and most likely no one even at the iTunes Store knows for sure, and if they do, they won't be able to tell you. The iTunes Store can't offer the book until the publisher (or whoever holds the rights to the audiobook version) releases it to them, and Apple won't or can't announce that in advance.
Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Discussions page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic, both in the relevant forums, in the User Tips Library and in the Apple Knowledge Base before you post a question.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows...When?

Enough is enough...Six months (almost) has passed since the book and the CD's came out. What is Apple waiting for? If they have the contract to provide all seven of the books, why haven't they released it yet? The same person who did the CD's (Jim Dale) does all of the audiobooks as well. Does anyone know when or why it hasn't been released? Apple and Itunes haven't even replied to any emails or phone calls. Not exactly great on the customer service side of this. I would appreciate any info. Thanks.

That will depend on what country that you are in, and when/if the film distributor will grant Apple an license to sell it there. You could try requesting it, but ultimately it's down to the distributor : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

Prisoner of Azkaban was unavailable last fall, but was eventually available for download. I didn't download then, but now that i need to download it is unavailable again. Why all the changes?

If it 's no longer in the store then it's probable that the film studio have removed it - whether it will become available again only the studio will know

There is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync to one computer, iTunes library, or account.
You might want to create a seperate iTunes library for him, perhaps on another user account on the system and move all of his Jazz music over to that new library. Once you have all of his music moved over to his own library, remove it from your own and then resync both of your iPods to clear his music off. This is just one way to do it.
