ICloud photos are available on Apple TV and iPhone but only some are showing up on my PC.

My iCloud photos are available on Apple TV and iPhone but only habout half of them show up on my laptop (windoes 8). On my old laptop I could view all photos and download etc. I tried to trouble shoot using advice here but not I can't see any of them on my laptop.

I have the same problem. One-time events are showing up everywhere, but repeating events (the majority of my schedule!) are not showing up on icloud (they do show up on my computer at home and on my iphone...)

ICloud photos sync with today's date instead of date taken

I just got a new laptop for work and installed iCloud to sync my PhotoStream to it. The photos all synced, but they are displaying a modified date of today instead of the date the photo was originally taken. On my old laptop, the photos seemed to display a Modified Date closer to the date they were taken. When I look at the photos on my iPhone, they all have the correct Modified Date. Something is causing the Modified Date to be switched to today's dte when they sync. Does anyone know why? Is this always how iCloud works and I just have noticed it because my photos were syncing to my laptop as soon as I added them to the stream? Or is there an iCloud setting or file system permissions thing causing this?

thank you for your response. strange, though, the vids used to export with the file date that i shot the vid... it's only since i updated iphoto that this is happening. but i like your idea of adding the date to the file name... i just wish i didn't have to do that extra step now, since i have a lot of videos.

Really need help here!-Why won't all selected Photos sync to my iPod Touch?

This is really a concern to me: I can only get about 9 months of my iPhotos to sync onto my iPod Touch - but with OS 2.x I could get all the photos-- used essentially all my free space.
I just upgraded my first generation iPod Touch (Dec 2007) to 3.1.2 - OK WiFi and apps updates working fine- but as to syncing photos: I have 15,688 photos & videos from my cameras in my iPhoto library.
I don't expect to have all the photos synced, but when I check last 12 months, only about 9 months is synced - 5899 photos and there is 4.9 gb of free space on my iPod Touch. With OS 2.x I could get more photos and it would go down to just a few mb of free space if I wished.
What is going on here? Why so much free space and yet no more photos syncing? I tried to click ALL EVENTS and that simply erased all my 5899 photos and there were NO PHOTOS. So now I went back and requested last 12 months of events (about 138 separate events from end 2008 until present) - and again, exactly 5899 photos yet still some 33% of my iPod capacity is UNused?
This is really a concern to me-- if a corrupted photo or event, then why did it work just last week when I was in iPod Touch OS 2.x?
Thanks for any suggestions here. I'm trying manual syncs and other stuff - so far no luck.

First a really big THANKS - I was not aware that this iPod Photo cache folder existed and it had grow to over 15 gb in size! (Now it is 3.85 gb in size).
BUT BUT-- problem not solved... Although I trashed that file and then re-synced my iPod Touch, it is still only going back to July 2009 with the events - not 12 months as I request; and none of the events that I checked prior to the previous 12 months are not on my iPod Touch, first generation running system 3.1.3 (7E18). I STILL HAVE 3.0 gb of available space on my iPod. Again, I never had this problem when 2.x was the OS for my iPod Touch.
The number of events seems to be exactly 51 - is that perhaps a limit? I don't think it would be but when I look inside the iPod Photo cache folder, there are 51 folders (plus 2 other items) and the folders are numbered from F00 to F50.
I would like to get to the bottom of this - not sure if I should start a new post or ??? Thanks again and any ideas or tests to run really appreciated!

Icloud photo sync

I have the following apple products: IPhone 6 and Ipad Air
I have a large collection of pictures on my PC which I would like to transfer to Icloud
I have downloaded the icloud software to my pc which it has created a folder called My Photo Stream this is currently showing 251 pictures all of which are my pictures but don't appear on either of my apple devices. But just populated when I downloaded the software.
I have 1236 photos showing on the IPhone
I have 1209 photos showing on the Ipad
How do I get all of these to sync so everything matches and then how do I transfer the remaining photos from my PC to icloud

When you have iCloud photo library enabled on a device, you can't see photo stream, even though any new photos you take on that device will be added to photo stream.
Your two mobile devices however should show the same photos on each. Do any of them still say they are uploading or updating.

Icloud photo syncing

Have been uploading and syncing photos from iphone to PC with no problems. Turned off photo sync while traveling outside U.S. to save data usage and then turned back on when I returned (via PC software) and ever since then have not been able to upload or sync any photos from iphone to PC.
Have been through my settings on iphone and PC multiple times and not seeing anything that would keep my photos from starting to sync again.

Erik, I believe I have same problem. And, now I am using iCloud and all my photos are duplicated on my iPhone4. My iPhone4 photos are not syncing back to my PC. Did you get any help?

ITunes looses photo sync settings for Apple TV (1st gen.)

Since the update to the new Photo app on my Mac, iTunes forgets the photo sync settings for my Apple TV (1st. generation, 160 GB HDD).
Every time I open the photo section of the Apple TV sync settings, all the options are turned off. Then I mark a couple of albums and sync the Apple TV >> all album appear on the Apple TV.
But after closing and re-opening iTunes in the photo settings everything is unmarked again. So on every following sync the photos on the Apple TV are easily erased :-( Resync them to the Apple TV takes hours (>30'000 photos!).
All the other sync settings in iTunes remain intact.
Environment:
- MacBook Pro Retina 15" with the latest SW (Mac OS, iTunes, Photo App, etc.)
- Apple TV 1st gen 160 GB HDD

Restarting iTunes resolves the issue in the majority of cases, if it doesn't my second guess would be your security software.
What really seems strange here is that there have been no updates since well before Xmas, so after initially setting it up, the first update would have brought you right up to the most recent (and indeed the very last) .
Agh, how silly of me, I see it's iTunes you have updated.
If that's about all you've changed, you might want to try reinstalling iTunes and bonjour.

ICloud photo sync stops after 30% of my collection (30000 pics)

With the latest update of Yosemite I finally switched to Foto iso iPhoto.
I switched on the iCloud option and expanded my storage to 200gig.
I have a collection of 30000 pics (yeah, I need to clean up )
It started syncing ok (although slow) but now it completely stopped at 10400 pics).
New pics taken by the iPhone end up in iCloud (I see them fine on the iPad or AppleTV) but don't sync with Foto (of Photo).
Advice anyone?

I have the same problem, my library has 52000 photos, but stopped uploading to iCloud with 37384 pictures to go... very annoying!
Is a way to "reset" Photos so it starts uploading again?
I have plenty of free iCloud storage left, so that isn't the problem.
BTW, Photos (agent) has been using all my computer's resources for three days now, I find it very that irritating Photos has no user control about its large memory, disk space and CPU usage... If it keeps doing it I will have to stop using it and switch to other photo management software that lets me decide what I want to do with my computer

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.

Why isn't my iPod being synced by iTunes?

I'm running Windows 8.1 on a new laptop. For whatever reason, my older iPod (model MB754C) isn't syncing with iTunes. I tried to Restore to factory settings and now it won't load my music (that's all I have) onto my iPod. What's wrong and how do I fix it? Help!!!!!!

Why isn't my iPad mini syncing to itunes?

I'm having trouble syncing my ipad mini. when i press the sync button after selecting install on newly downloaded apps it just wont sync! it goes as far as 'determining apps to install' but then just stops, just like that without any warning or anything. why and how do i solve this problem?

What I always suggest is to quit iTunes, restart your computer, reboot your iPad and then try again. Start with that if you haven't tried it already.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Why isn't all my ringtones syncing into my phone?

So I make all my ringtones myself, and they're not all syncing into my phone. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Several possibilities, the created ringtones aren't in the correct folder used by iTunes to find your tones, you've set iTunes to only sync certain tones so any new added aren't synched or they're not in m4r format. If none of these answer your question then you can manually add the tones by looking under the menu in iTunes for the add files & manually choose the tones to add.
I save my ring/text tones into one folder & sometimes I have to manually add tones or just change the setting from all tones to selected, select the new tones then sync.

I noticed the opposite. If I make changes in iTunes to the ratings it does sync over to the iPhone but if you rate anything on the iPhone those changes are not sync'd back to iTunes. I noticed some earlier posts about this and it seems like it has been around for a while. Seems basic iPod functionality isn't working on the phone. I REALLY REALLY hope they fix this (running 2.1 now).
I noticed that that in addition to star ratings, the play count and last time played don't seem to sync either. What is really strange is that it seems to be spotty....does a few songs here and there. I listened to an entire album this afternoon, rated every song and after syncing iTunes shows I haven't listened to that album in days and none of the ratings are there. Worst part of it is that it syncs the songs from itunes back to the phone thus overwriting all the ratings you just did!
Apple fix this!!
