go on settings and scroll down to "MESSAGES" make sure iMessages is ON, now scroll down just a bit and look for an option reading "send & Receive" click on it and make sure it is either your apple ID or your phone number, wait 1-3 hours or over night and it should work, sometimes it takes a while to activate, ive come across this issue many times, hope it worked!

There's something wrong with my iphone 4s

So there's something wrong with my iPhone 4s.
Just recently it worked fine and all of a sudden it started going insane so what I did was turn my phone off for five minutes then back on. When I did my imessage won't work nor does my app called Line won't allow me to log in claiming my network is not working properly (when in fact it is because I used safari and searched five websites and it works fine) then I tried my imessage and it still won't work so I went to my settings and when I did it said my imessage was off so I switched it on and it was asking for my apple ID and I gave the correct information, making sure to type the password slowly so I won't make errors but still it claims I have the wrong password. I have other apple IDs and I used them and they all have the same password and still nothing. It's really annoying and I want it to be fixed soon because I've tried everything, I've tried putting it on airplane mode then putting it off, turning off imessage and restarting then turning it on again, I can't even log on to my apple ID here properly a few seconds ago and I restarted my phone already and shut it off too and still no difference.
I'm hoping someone who can help me, please nothing that requires deleting files because my files are important I do remember backing up on iCloud but I'm not quite sure when I did that and so I'm afraid of using that back up file.

Turned my iphone 4 off now I turned it on again and stuck on apple logo, after this i put it in recovery mode but it failed and itunes says there is something wrong with my iphone any ideas

My iphone 4 stuck on the apple logo then it wont work in recovery mode. My iphone then wouldnt work in recovery mode, itunes said there is something wrong with my iphone. On my iphone it says connected to itunes any ideas what could be wrong

You might have to get it serviced, or visit an Apple Store to get it looked at.

Why isn't the iMessage working on my phone? Up until 1:45pm today it was fine, but now it isn't working.

It should be back up now, they had a system outage. Reset your iPhone.

Why can i send imessages to every other person with an iPhone but not one person

I can send an imesage message to every other person with an iphone, but not my uncle, who has an iphone 4s. We are both connected to wifi while texting and yet the message still shows up as green. PLEASE HELP

Get him to check he's got iMessage enabled.
Settings->Messages->iMessage needs to be 'ON'.
Also in the same screen check what addresses he has under "Send & Receive" to ensure you're using one of those (or his phone number).

My iMessage has stopped to work was working fine until today then I tried FaceTime and that isn't working to does anyone know why I've not touched the setting on my iPad at all . I have wifi too so can't be that.

Since I updated to 6.0.1 my iMessage stopped working and it is very frustrating. Please help me out on this it would be a great help.

Turn it ON in Settings > Messages. Only works with other iOS devices. Try Settings App > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Make sure in Settings that Cellular Data is ON, and if in WiFi area you can turn it ON.

hmmm.. When you go to settings>Messages>send and recieve> are you signed in? Or does it say "Use your appleid for imessage" ? If so , does signing out and signing back in fix the issue?

Is there something wrong with my iPhone 5?

Since i've had my iPhone 5 it's been working perfectly until about a month ago.
Chargers won't last longer than a week. Some have been from Apple, some have been cheep ones.
Recently, some won't even last more than 2 days. My phone can be on charge for about half an hour and the cables are either too hot to touch or are melting. The phone is also too hot to touch.
I don't want to keep buying new chargers if theres a problem with my phones charger slot.

So why don't you bring the phone to Apple for evaluation?

The other day I needed to show my son how many paper punch cards would be needed to compete with the flash memory on my iPhone 4. Each punch card had 480 spaces on it, that could correspond to bits. In order to work out how many punch cards would be needed, I had to first figure out how many bits there were in 32Gb. The following calculation needs to be done in landscape mode, otherwise you ae unable to see the numbers properly on the display.
8 x 1024 x 1024 x 1024 x 32 = 274,877,906,944
Now for the interesting bit.
If I divide the amount of bits held in a 32Gb by the amount of bits on the old paper punch card I should get - 572,662,306.1333333333 recurring cards required.
Strangely the iPhone calc app believes that the number is just shy of 6 cards at 5.7266230613333e+8.
Now I know this is not some strange scientific notation because if I divide by a whole number such as 100 or 400, etc... then it gets the answer right. Further more with really big numbers, the iPhone calc app seems to loose the plot and provide incorrect answers. Other apps I have for calculation get the answer right, but not the iphone app.
Before anyone points out that Flash storage is done in 1000Mb's instead of 1024Mb's, I know. I was just doing a demonstration based on the actual figure of 32Gb, using the correct numbers based on a binary base. Storage manufacturers often use this as there manufacturing techniques do not work in the same way as the maths.
Anyone else seen this problem, and if so, what strange numbers can we get, highlighting the problem, so that it gets fixed in the next update. I think I shall have to try this out in Numbers on the iPhone, see if the problem is there to. As a passing shot I feel that this is a fundamental problem that needs to be addressed, and relatively quickly.

Amazing...yet again an excuse for a 16 digit display that is incapable of displaying 572 million.... But funnily enough it will display something proper when divided by 400, or in other words, it resorts to moron system and prints '687,194,767.36'. Maybe we should all write everything in scientific notation...and forget this silly simplistic system of using numbers and commas to designate large numbers. For all you scientific types, they are no longer millionaires, no they will just be renamed "1.0e+6's". Even better, we could rename millionaires row, to something scientific. Yeah I can see that taking off.

It means that you should change your Apple ID password. Your phone cannot be hacked unless it is jailbroken, but your Apple ID can be compromised.
