Why isn't my page validating XHTML compatible?

If you run my website I'm building through an XHTML validator
it brings up one error and I don't understand why it brings up this
error since all of my XHTML seems to validate fine...

The best way is to give the container (UL) a height.
First make sure that we target the correct elements by adding a class as in

Why isn't the new iOS4 update compatible with the 1st generation iPod touch

It makes me extremely angry that i have wanted what the new update contains ever since i got my ipod and now I can't have it because whoever made the update didn't make it compatible with the 1st generation iPod touch. after I downloaded Firefox 9.0, the page isn't fully maximized as I can still see part of my desktop at the top.

You should see a Site column at the far left and a Username column next to it.<br />
If you click the Show Password button then you should also see a Password column.
* Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
If that isn't what you see then check the extensions and theme.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Why isn't camera raw 8.3 compatible with PSE 11?

I'm furious and want to know who to complain to. Less than one year ago I purchased PSE 11 which is what I needed for it to work with my Nikon D7100, also less than a year old. I have just purchased a Nikon D610 and it seems I need to downlaod Camera Raw 8.3 but it doesn't seem to work with PSE 11. When I check the adobe site it appears that I need PSE 12! How can this be when my software is less than one year old!! Is it adobe money grabbing again? Are there any plans to add support for RAW photos taken on the Nikon D610, which after all is only a very minor change to the Nikon D600, to PSE 11? If not why not????

Today I was in the Apple Store here in Munich and had my first bad experience with Apple.
When I talked to one of the employees and asked how I can get the free Pages for my MacBook Pro he interrupted me and said: "I don't know." When I tried to explain that it was listed in the App Store app in Mavericks and it is not there anymore in Yosemite, he interrupted me again and was quite harsh: "I can't help you. Call Apple Care, that's what they are there for."
Maybe it was my fault. He had to stop a chat with a female co-worker because of a customer. That was not nice of me.
As I don't want to pay 29 €/$ just to ask where Apple has hidden the gratis Pages software, I will take part in a Pages Workshop and hope I can get help there.

DW Validator XHTML Transitional DTD

If i am using the validator XHTML 1.0 Transitional as my
validation. Is the DTD file it is using located somewhere in DW's
configuration folders? If so, does anyone know where it is?
i see that under tagLibraries\Validator\ there is the
XHTML10t.vtv file, but that is not the actual DTD.

Why isn't the plugin checker working anymore?

I check for updates to my plugins very often. The Plugin Check page has been saying that all my plugins are up to date. However, twice now I've clicked the button to check anyway, and found that a plugin was not up to date after all. Why isn't the Plugin Check page detecting when my plugins need updating?

After trying Opera AND Firefox to post a reply to "Why isn't my browser supported?" I'm now using IE (7 not 8 - that's not working, too!). Maybe that's the first thing that should work in all browsers - the forum.
The second thing, and that's why I originally wanted to post something here, is that I had problems typing "&" and "/" in Opera. They don't seem to be at the same key as usual. (I have a german keyboard...):

Additionally everything seems a little bit slow...

Why is the Verizon ellipsis 8 not compatible with verizons messaging app

Love to understand why the Verizon texting app is not compatible with the ellipsis 8 ? I bought this Tablet to replace my old Samsung Galaxy tablet that died from over use. I was told this tablet was a very comparable it is not. Texting has to be linked to a smart phone (another purchase) ellipsis has it own number and should support it own texting

Why isn't there a chart with ios, mac os and itunes compatibily?

Since there are so many people who have been screwed over by upgrading to a newer ios without knowing that they would need a different version of iTunes that can only work with a newer Mac os, but their computer cannot run that os, so now they are out of luck, WHY isn't there a chart somewhere that shows the compatibility between ios, itunes, Mac os and even Mac computer versions? The info is available if you search for it separately (lots of searches), but I can't find it all in one place. For example, ios7 works only with itunes 11.1 and up on 10.6.8 and up on an intel Mac. That is really useful for people who want to make sure their whole infrastructure is compatible before they upgrade. Does anyone know if something like this exists anywhere? Thanks.

This was a comment from my business users who have worked with various versions of SharePoint. I understand SP 2013 has put in logic to make the web pages to be compatible with a wider set of browsers and screen form factors. Nevertheless, the issues raised
by my business users are valid.
Comparing a basic web part page of SP 2013 with SP 2007 and 2010, their feedback was:
SP 2013 pages do not have clear boundaries
SP 2013 pages are generally devoid of colour. This is makes it harder to visually distinguish links from ordinary text.
SP 2013 pages appear to leave large swathes of screen space underutilized.

1. When insert a web part in SharePoint 2013, you can edit the web part and change the appearance and layout of the web part.
You can add the boundaries for the web part. (Edit page->select a web part ->edit the web part->in the appearance section->in Chrome Type, select title and border->after that you can see the boundaries).

Yeah, once people get hooked on streaming music, they tend to be much less interested in purchasing downloads, and especially not from a music store that sells songs in an inconvenient (AAC) format instead of the de facto standard, MP3 format.
