Is that during installation when you see the two icons.. the one on the left looking like a Garageband guitar icon, the one on the right like the Logic Pro platimum record icon?
Yes.. that one.. with the choice to click on which option you want/are coming from...
p.s. I'll probably aquire a Mac Mini this fall then upgrade.... I mean repurchase!
I think I managed to grab one of the last of the 2011 refurb'ed MMS's.... at that super low price Apple were selling them for... before they bumped it up and now, they seem to have none left at all at any price

Why does my edit button not show in Address Book?

I have installed Lion on my laptop; however, I am not able to edit any Address Book entries. After doing some research, I have learned that I am missing the "Edit Button" that is supposed to appear on a contact that will enable editing. Try this:
Select "Go" from the finder whilst holding down the Alt key and "Library will drop down in the list.
Library/preferences/ and delete this : com.apple.AddressBook.plist
re-start your comp and it should work.
This . plist will re-create itself when re resart all nice and clean and fresh.
Should work, it does for most things.

Toplink Expression - edit button not showing all possible field names

Hi,
i use Jdev 11g (11.1.1.0.1) with TopLink. I created a Toplink mapping and everything works well. I now want to create another named query with a selection criteria, but the Edit-Button in the Expression Builder for the selection criteria isn't working well. If i click the button nothing happens, but JDev freezes for about 15 sec. Anyone else with this problem ?

Why isn't my ipod shuffle not showing up in my devices, or my desktop?

I received my ipod shuffle (2nd gen) app. 2 years ago, however, this is the first time that I have ever tried to sync my current itunes library onto it. I connected the shuffle with a USB chord, but, the shuffle does not show up in "devices", nor on my desk top like my other ipod does. When it is plugged into the chord, the light flashes orange. I think that orange flashing means that it is "syncing music", however, there is no signs of the shuffle being connected to my Apple Mac in anyway. I have tried rebooting the computer, as well as turning my shuffle on and off. However, nothing has helped it. I have watched videos reviewing "fake shuffles" and I am confident that mine is not a fake. Please help me! Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. I'm using a new shuffle usb cable in my 2nd generation shuffle and nothing shows up on computer. I'm wondering if the dock for the second gen is different than the new usb cable direct into the 2nd gen shuffle. I don't have a dock for it. Before I buy one on ebay I hope someone can assist.

Why isn't the Firefox button right at the top anymore?

When I was running the beta builds (up to B8), the Firefox button was right at the top right of the windows (as it is supposed to be). After updating to FF4B9 (and on), the button is displayed here: http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w111/troop172/FF4.png

How can i delete my billing account if the Edit is not showing next to the "Payment Information" message

I followed instructions on how to disable the payment information on the Apple sitte. However, i never saw the Edit that enables me to select the None option.

If you have a current iCloud ID that is a newer version of the old ID (and not an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone and delete the old account. Then go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.

Just wondering if apple made a conscious decision to use a simple rounded square instead of an outline of their apple logo for the icon in the home button on their products.

HT3149 iPhoto 09 When I click on the preview pane to move a photo into edit, it shows up black and the edit buttons are not active. How do I fix that?

When I click on the preview pane to move a photo into the edit pane, there is no image just a black square and the edit buttons are not active. A few images in an event will move to the edit pane but most will not. I cannot work with those images that do not enter the edit pane..no attaching to email, make a card, slideshow, etc.

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help:
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Restart your Mac. Launch Safari. Try the back button.
