Why isn't the internet working on my ipod?

I've had my ipod touch 2nd gen 8 gb for quite a while now. The internet on the ipod has been working fine until right now. It was also working this morning. I am connected to my home wifi connection and it shows the wifi signal on the top left hand corner too. When I open up safari, it says "Safari could not open the pade because the server stopped responding." To attempt to solve the problem, I restarted my ipod, powered it off and back on, connecting to a different wifi provider but still nothing... Any solutions? :/

- Try powering off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Do other devices successfull connect to the internet?

On my iPod touch 4G, the internet has stopped working. Not just safari, but everything that requires an internet connection. I get the standard little message 'Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet.' Sure, I can open them but they won't work without the internet. It happened a few days ago and I'm completely stumped. I've rebooted, updated, rejoined my internet, reset my internet, reset my network settings, everything I can think of and whatever someone has told me. I've deleted recent apps, just in case they were intefering with the connection, but that doesn't do anything. This has happened once before, where a simple rooter reboot solved it and there was no more of it. However, nothing seems to be working this time. Any advice? My operating system is actually 4. 3. 5, but there's no option for this. I don't have a router or DNS code, but then again I'm not sure I ever did. There's also no URL in the HTTP proxy box. Is this a problem?

A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF

If you place the iPod next to the router does it see the network? If so that indicated a loose internal antenna

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I also think that it was a mistake for them to take away the Built in YouTube Application but you could always try to download it from the App Store because their is now an YouTube app i have tried it and it works fine but it is just not the same as the Built in one

I think that the Spam Detector runs before your custom filters, and custom filters only work on the inbox folder. If Spam Detector moved it from the inbox before the filters were run, then the filter wouldn't delete it.

Why isn't my internet working with os x lion?

I have a 15in Mac Book Pro. I've never had any serious trouble connecting to the internet.
Over the summer, I switched over to OS X Lion, and ever since then, I've had intermitten internet connection issues. I have an Airport Extreme, purchased probably about 3 years ago.
The other day, I updated my computer software. I honestly don't remember what they were for, but there were about three of them. Since that update, my internet has been going out way more than usual. In order to get internet back, I have to unplug and re-plug my Airport Extreme, and hope it works. Otherwise, I have to open network preferences and re-start the connection process .......... every minute. I've had to re-start the airport 5 times between yesterday and today. The weirdest thing? When the light on the airport is green, it doesn't work. But when it's yellow, it does.
My parents have a Windows PC (from before vista) and their computer connects perfectly fine to the internet all the time. They never have any issues. Please help ! I can't be restarting the motem all the time ! It can't be good for it ...

I know why. It's because the eliminated machines only have 32-bit EFI boot ROMs and bus. Mountain Lion requires 64-bit EFI boot ROMs and 64-bit bus. This is needed in order to boot the 64-bit kernel.

okay, i plugged my ipod video into my friends computer, and since then over half of the songs on my ipod won't work! in itunes, they have a little exclamation point next to them, and on my ipod, when i try to listen to most of the songs it just skips through the songs until it finds one that works. what can i do to make them work again?? i would prefer not to have to start all over and take all the music off my ipod, because most of the songs in my library has a little exclamation point next to them also. please please help me!! i'm going crazy!

Unfortunately, I think that is probably your only option. the "!" is stating that the link between the music and the visual title on your iPod is broken and the iPod doesn't know where it is. Did you have auto-updating on for your music when you plugged it into your friends computer? And how did you remove it from the computer? If the iPod was still updating when you removed it, that could have caused it.

Since last night the cloud is not coming on. Everytime I try to put itunes match on it askes me to sign out then sign in. As soon as I sign out itunes freezes. When I close and reopen iTunes the same thing happens time and time again. Anyone else having this problem.

Same here. Desktop is fine but the icloud, iphone and ipad isn't. Very frustrating.

I've been trying for a few days to understand environment and I've been stuck for quite some time. I followed step by step on how to connect the arpeggiator to the sequencer input and it actually working for a little while but stopped. Whenever I connect the two, the notes aren't arpeggiated at all. I'd really appreciate the help.

im presuming you mean its not sowing in sidebar? have you tried unplugging usb from pc/mac and reinserting?

Why isn't the overlay working?

hey everyone - i've got a clip in final cut pro that i wanted to end with a quick light streak overlay. i opened up motion, made a 5 second black 0% opacity sequence, and added the streak. then clicked the layer, and chose the blending mode of "overlay". i saved the sequence, and imported it to final cut. i then placed the motion file in my movie sequence just above the clip i want it to overlay.....problem is that when the motion file plays, the movie goes black and just the motion file plays.....blacking out my clips and just shows the light streaks........is my layer set up wrong in motion or what?

Why isn't the receiver working on my iPhone 5?

I've had my iPhone 5 for a year and a half. Everything has been great until yesterday afternoon. I can no longer hear calls through the ear piece. The other end of the call can hear me, but all I get is silence. I can only make actual calls using the speaker. I've read all the threads and tried everything, to no avail. My carrier (Verizon) said it would cost $400 to replace the phone, which is utter BS.
So here are my questions - 1) Has Apple come up with a solution to this problem, since it's obviously one on their end? 2) If I send this to Apple to get repaired (since I'm nowhere near an Apple store), how much would it cost? 3) Would I get a spare in the meantime?
I feel like I'm getting screwed by Apple and Verizon at the same time, and I've completely had it with both companies.

GOing to an Apple store genius bar is by far the best bet...they do some repairs now in-store for the iPhone 5-series, or if they need to replace and it is out of warranty the fee is $269 for the iPhone 5. Time it takes depends on what needs to be done, but in most cases is while you wait.

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > iTunes being set 'off' ?

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
