Why isn't the new Firefox instillation working on my PC?

When opened PC today, immediately a Firefox bar scan popped up and was uploading new software without my consent. After it installed, I have not been able to get into any program or site. I can't even open my email and I had a client through the PC today which I had to cancel since programs are not responding. I am not happy about this at all.

Can you boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen)?

Why isn't the new iOS4 update compatible with the 1st generation iPod touch

It makes me extremely angry that i have wanted what the new update contains ever since i got my ipod and now I can't have it because whoever made the update didn't make it compatible with the 1st generation iPod touch. Why isn't the popup blocker exception working for sites I have added? It still asks me to "allow" them.

Even though I have added sites to the Exceptions in the Popup Blocker preferences, I constantly have to press the Allow button to actually go to the next window. The sites are staying in the Exceptions list and I can get there, but something clearly isn't working properly.

I have been adding each domain name that pops up that's different from the original website and Firefox is still asking me to "Allow" it. Very frustrating...

The code looks good to me. Only reason someone won't be opted in automatically is if they ever opted out from your site. If even new users are not getting opt in automatically, please contact our support as it may need some testing and investigation..

Why isn't the Archer Season Pass working as it should?

I would really appreciate an answer, Apple. I paid $31.99 for the season, and now Episode 4 isn't downloading as it's supposed to. If the problem is on FX's end as far as download approval (which it shouldn't be, seeing as it's up on the iTunes Store for download), that's fine, I'd just like to know where the bottleneck is and how to fix it. Is Matt K. around? He DID just welcome me to the support community, after all...
I know I'm not the only one having this problem, either. Hopefully the flood of questions and complaints will encourage some action on Apple's part.

Sigh. I too, purchased an "Archer" season 4 pass. I too, have been unable to download episode 4 w/out paying for it again. I emailed support and eventually received a polite reply indicating "Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue". I waited 24 hours and requested an iTunes Store credit.
I've received no reply to that request, but I suggest we all request store credits.

Firefox latest version 8 does not seem to work with 1Password

1Password does work with Firefox 8. - follow the instructions on the 1password website. You may have to open the download with firefox, as it might not come up automatically. Check for it in your downloads and the go to firefox and File and select Open File and choose 1Password.xpi from your downloads.
Check your add-ons under Tools on browser bar. Then look to the far right of your Navigation Bar and you will find the 1password Icon.
If you don't like it's location, the go to View, Toolbars, Customize and move it to the desired location.

You should be able to download it into your Mac's iTunes library by ticking the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tick box on the Store tab in Edit > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac) - it should then show in the Music part of your library with a cloud icon against it for downloading (downloading the booklet for it this way may not work, you may get a 'corrupt file' message when trying to open it).
Or go to the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage and you should be able to download it from there.
A third option is to sign out of your account (Store > Sign Out menu option), find the album in the store and then click on its free 'price' button - you should then be prompted to sign back in and the album should download.
On your phone you can either turn Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music (under 'show all') 'on' - it should then show in the Music app with a cloud icon against it for downloading. Or go to the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app, select Music, and it might then show under 'Various' (it did originally, not sure if it's been corrected) - when downloaded it should correctly be under U2 in Music.

I recently updated my device to iOS6. I haven't had any problems with my iPhone until last night. I noticed that my screen brightness wouldn't adjust in my room (lights off). It usually dims down when I'm in bed. Could this be a hardware problem? Or a iOS6 bug? Thanks and let me know of you're having the same problem.

I have a similar issue, when i unlock the phone for usage, the screen goes dim. When I go into the settings the brightness slider is in the same location but if i just touch it the screen gets bright again.
edited to add that this is after the iOS 6 update.

Why isn't the enable prefetch command working?

I shut off DNS prefetching to test an internet performance problem that I'm having....
I then tried using the command:
defaults delete com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled
....in a Terminal window to re-enable DNS prefetching and I got this message after hitting enter:

Domain (com.apple.safari) not found.
Defaults have not been changed.
Any idea what this means? Am I to assume that because of this error that DNS prefetching has not been re-enabled correctly?

Hi Linc....Thanks. I'll take your word for it......and I say that only because I had just issused the command to disable prefetching right before I typed in the re-enable command. So.....it should have been disabled.
Instead of using the command above to re-enable it, I tried this one instead that I read about somewhere:
defaults write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean true
.....and I got no error on that one.
Is there a command that can be issued to tell whether pre-fetching is on or off?
