Why isn't the verification email coming in?

I have been waiting for the verification email on a Apple ID, and after several requests for the email to be sent, it does not come in. I can reset the password, but not verify the ID.

It sounds like you have requested several times, the verification email message I would recommend looking in the places outlined in this article:

    Last night I received my email just fine. Today, however, I cannot get my incoming mail, nor will anything I wrote send out. I did try opening Thunderbird in safe mode and without add-ons (per the support suggestions) and it did attempt to send and receive my emails, but after 2 hours of still trying, I closed it out. I am not sure what to do now. I have been happy with Thunderbird thus far and really do not want to go back to Outlook! Can someone please enlighten?? Thanks for any help you can give...

    Check to see if your anti-virus/firewall program is not blocking Thunderbird.
    eg: if Norton
    open norton click on 'Settings' > 'Network' > Smart firewall > Program rules locate Mozilla Thunderbird and set to 'Allow'
    click on all the 'Apply' and OK buttons.

    It might be caused by storage "buffering".  If so, the space will adjust automatically when another iCloud feature uses the space previously allocated to your deleted email.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4873.

    Go into your email account via the web and check the spam folder.

    I think that the Spam Detector runs before your custom filters, and custom filters only work on the inbox folder. If Spam Detector moved it from the inbox before the filters were run, then the filter wouldn't delete it.

    Are that bookmarks that you have imported from another browser?
    A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • TS3988 I'm not getting the verification email to connect with iCloud. It's not in my email or junk mail. Help!

    I'm having difficulty with linking up my devices with iCloud. I have not been able to do even after downloading songs and other purchases from iTunes. I keep getting a message on all of my devices- iPhone and iPad2 that my email has not been verified. When I click on the link, no email from apple is received in either my inbox or junk mail folder. Please help. I need this issue resolved as I am now out of space since I've had to back up my devices on my pc.

    If it isn't there try to resend it.  Go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

    I have been waiting and resending my verification email for the past week for my icloud account. I cloud account was working before the Mt lion upgrade but since I upgraded it's been a no go. What might you recomend to fix this problem.

    Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

  • HT4528 Never receive the verification email

    It's been over an hour and just setup my account and I can't download any apps yet because I never received the verification email. Why?

    I was forced by iTunes to change my Apple ID password a couple of months ago.  Since then I have been trying to find a way to receive the verification email to no avail.
    Today, I did manage to change the email destination to my home email instead of hotmail, but have still not received anything.
    I try to access https://appleid.apple.com in Firefox only to be led to a page that says "No instance available".  No luck with IE or Safari either.
    I downloaded OS5 for my iPod touch, but cannot activate an iCloud ID since I cannot sign in to my Apple ID to begin with. 
    I've tried to sign in via iTunes as well as the App Store and the Apple Store but nothing seems to work.
    I'm at my wits end and am about a hair's breadth away from doing violence to my MacBook Pro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My new iTunes account that I created for work keeps telling me that my email address is not yet verified.  So I send a verification email to my main (another) email address, and then when I get a verification email to that address, it says that my email address is already verified.

    You can resend the verification email by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address.
