Why isnt my chat on the facebook app not working it says"No Online Friends"

i downloaded the new facebook app for iphone 4. it worked fine when i first purchased the phone which was yesterday. recently worked this morning and now it says "no friends online" why has this happened? how can i fix this?

Did you always have the same problem or is it new? I always used to be able to get Facebook to work on wifi with no issues for months. I downloaded the new software update for Revolution, and all of a sudden it seems like they blocked the Facebook app somehow unless you're on 4G. It really sux because I can't get into my Zynga games either that are tied to FB! Wish someone at Verizon could be aware of this and fix the problem.
Also, interestingly, when I try to log into the Facebook site with the browser I am directed to an error page. The browser works fine for every other site though. Really seems like there was some kind of block instated that will no longer let you use Facebook on a wifi connection.

Are you on WiFi or 3G? If WiFi, when I've had this happen, first I go to Settings & turn WiFi off. Wait a minute, then turn it back on. Usually fixes things.

Sorry, no. If Facebook isn't compatible with the current iOS it's on Facebook to make its app compatible.
Have you tried to access facebook via safari? I personally abandoned the app years ago due to it being very buggy. I access it via safari with no issues

Facebook app not working on wifi?

I have the galaxy s5 so does my wife and daughter, and when we are at home we hook up to the wifi, and try to use that to save on data usage. for some reason it does not load photos, comments and videos for a long time. the laptop, tablets, and tv all work fine off of the wifi. we have the same issue in public wifi. any reason?

Yes the pages load fine on data. But even games I have that use internet
don't always work right. But if I turn off the wif i. it works fine. I am
beginning to wonder if I made a mistake leaving sprint.

Facebook app not working on bb10 after update

Hello.
I update the facebook app to the newest update on my bb10 and not it's not working at all. The app is not showing in the icons with the F, just like a spot with unfinished icon. Can't access it, can't delete it or reinstall. What's the point having a not working app? If i would know i would keep the old version

What happens when you try to delete the application? Also what version of BlackBerry 10 are you using? Go to Settings>About to find this information. Do you get any errors when you try to re-install it from BlackBerry World?

Facebook app not working since new update

Ever since I installed the new update for the phone about 2 weeks ago my FB app won't work anymore. It pops up with an error message. It's the FB app that came with the phone. I can still access everything else. I'm also having more trouble with my advanced task killer since the update. Everytime I open it theres a ton of apps running that I haven't touched so I switched my settings to the "crazy" auto-kill level but it's still not working. Help please...

For Facebook, search the market for Facebook for Android. This is the updated version of the stock Facebook. It will save over the Facebook app that is currently installed(it won't erase your data) plus this will alert you when there are new app updates.
For your tasktiller, Froyo has a decent task killer built in. There are always small tasks that happen in the background for different apps. I find that my battery lasts a little longer after I uninstall advanced task killer.

Facebook App not working over 3G, but works over Wi-Fi.

I have a BlackBerry® Curve™ 3G 9330 Social Messaging Ready smartphone. My current software version is 6.0 Bundle 2333. My Facebook application worked perfectly fine when I got the phone a few months ago over the Verizon 3G network and Wi-Fi, but when I recently updated Facebook to version 2.0.0.58, it does not work over 3G anymore. But everytime I try to connect via 3G it says "We cannot reach the Facebook server at this time. Please try again later. (100)" It does however still work over Wi-Fi.
I have tried various attempts to fix it: uninstalling the App and re-installing it and also removing the battery and putting it back in (hard reset), but nothing has worked.
Is anyone else have this same issue? Is there a way to restore my Blackberry to its factory settings so that I can just use the older version of the Facebook App [that was previously installed]?

I can see from your PIN that you currently don't have browsing services included in your data plan. I would advise contacting your wireless provider to have this enabled.

Facebook app not working on 4.0.1!!!

Ever since upgrading to the 4.0.1 platform the FAcebook app has sucked huge. The push notifications do not push. The Badges are slow, inaccurate, and unreliable. The notifications alone when using the app are non functional. I have tried everything I could think of/been told:
1) Unintsalling and reintsalling the app.
2) logging out and back in
3) disabling and reenabling notification.
4) powering down and up.
5) disabling notifications and depowering, then repowering and reenabling
6) numoerous combinations of the above.
I have contacted Facebook about it, and they give me the form answer.
Anyone have any solutions? The app was working flawlessly prior to upgrading to the new platform.

I just fixed mine.
1. On the facebook site itself you have to go to mobile and you HAVE to set up text messaging.
2. Once this is done get on your phone and in the confirmation text go ahead and tell it to stop.
3. You will get another confirmation saying text is off
4 Go back into facebook site under mobile and simple remove the phone number. The text and number will be gone but the app will still send you notifications.

Facebook App Not Working Right

I hope this is the right place to ask this question! We just got iPhones (3GS) a few weeks ago, and I've been using the Facebook App with no problems. However, my husband installed the App and for some reason, he cannot get any Status Updates to show - it just says "No Stories Found". For "Top Stories" only 3 will show! We've deleted and reinstalled but it still will not display the News Feed...
Anyone else having this problem - or know how to fix it?!

Are you getting any error message? Is the internet connection up and running? Is the behavior the same upon installing another application?

There are dozens of reports on the forum of the same issue. It seems there is an issue with the App. You may have to wait until FaceBook issues an updated version.

Why does the remote app not work with Apple TV 1st gen anymore.

This is a review I just left on the app store, I am posting it word for word, and i hope that dowsnt complicate anything. My hope is that this finds the right party to address the situation, and if any user has a fix, I would love to hear it.
I have an Mac mini running iTunes as a server, I have 2 airport expresses to allowing airplay to them for different rooms, and I also have 2 Apple TV first gens... I can play one stream of music from the server, and have the option of playing 2 other streams of music from the apple tv's as they have a built in hard drive to sync music to. I can send any of the feeds to any o the devices in any room and i love it. This whole system used to work flawlessly... It doesn't anymore. The latest update of remote broke what was working so well. I can pull it up and see all 3 music sources, log into each and play music, no problem there. The problem is that when I want to log back into that device, it won't show what music is playing. It loads up to a trackpad... Why do I need a trackpad? the point of a wifi remote is that it interfaces directly with the library, not needing to see the display... Annoying enough in itself as none of my devices are actually hooked up to a screen, but whatever, annoying point aside, I back out of the trackpad and refresh the device playing music... The music is playing, but won't show on my remote, I can't pause, press next song or anything. I have to start over and pick a song and override the currently playing song. Even the volume control is broken. I used to control each volume of each of the multiple devices individually, they each had a slider in the multiple speaker view, now there is only one master volume slider... One speaker is in my baby's room... If she is sleeping I don't want to have to go into the room to physically adjust that speaker, I want an individual slider like there was before.
I used to be very happy with this app. I'm not anymore. I used to praise apple and promote the functionality of it to all of my friends. Now I'm just embarrassed when I can't control it when they are over. Embarrassed....
As another fail.... I want to describe another point. As I have the iTunes server, it should be able to handle multiple things at once. It can to an extent... For example, I can play music from the server to an airplay device, and I can go onto my iMac, load up iTunes, click on shared libraries ad load my entire library from my server. I ca also at the same time take my iPhone, click on music, and again pull up my entire shared library of music from the wifi server... It handles this very well. I recently purchased an Apple TV 3. As it does not have a built in hard drive, it relies on content from a locally attached network or stuff from your iTunes account. So while I can use my iPhone to pull up the entire shared library while its also playing elsewhere, why can Apple TV 3 not?... It's using iOS just like my iPhone. All it was good for was airplay as an extra speaker. It wouldn't work as an extra rendered source of media using the shared library. Needless to say, that Apple TV went back to the store. Fail Apple, Fail.... That was the only reason I bought one. Maybe Apple TV 4 will actually be functional without a hard drive.
