Just got this iphone 4,didnt have this prob with the 3!
Help me out here, someone-PLEASE

Why won't iPad1 show up as a Device in iTunes when the iPad is Wi-Fi and powered up?

iPad1 is properly designated to be Wi-Fi sync'd to the Windows 7 64.
iPad correctly shows Device in iTunes; and correctly sync's in iTunes when tethered to computer via USB.
No Device listed in iTunes when iPad is on and powered by 10w power cube.
Network connects.
iCloud backup works when Wi-Fi.
iPad USED to be visible to iTunes when on and powered and on Wi-Fi.
Some anti-miracle occured.
Need exorcist.

Thank you for your reply; however I don't believe that your advice fits my circumstance - in that my device (in this case, the iPad) DID show up as a Device in iTunes last week - when connected via Wi-Fi (that is, powered up and on the home network and with iTunes open in the Windows 7 computer).
I was then able to communicate (read: sync) between the iPad and the computer NOT using the USB cable-connect to the computer - merely via Wi-Fi.
I can not repeat that miracle this week (meaning, that I must hook up the iPad1 to the computer via the USB cable, where it does register as a Device in iTunes - and it does go thru the 6 steps of sync.
Did I grossly missinterpret your instructions?

so when i use to hook up to windows the iphone would let me open up the iphone to get my pictures out but when i hook it up to my macbook it dont show up at all.. i want to get pictures off of this iphone

The iPhone does not show up on the desktop on the Mac, by design (because disk use is not possible, unlike most iPods). You need to use iPhoto or Image Capture to get the pics off the phone. iPhoto is for organizing your pics, sorting them, editing them, etc. You can choose iPhoto albums to sync back onto the phone, if you like. Image Capture is a simple app to pull images off cameras or scanners.
If you have iLife '08 or later, select iPhoto > iPhoto menu > Preferences > General tab and set the When Camera is Connected pop-up to either launch iPhoto or Image Capture. If you have an older version of iLife, that setting is in Applications > Image Capture > Image Capture menu > Preferences.

Well im currently looking for a new phone on virgin mobile, and I dont want the iphone 5s or 5c just the 5. And I went on their website and it wasnt there. Just wondering why? And where I could buy one.

Sorry, but you don't. None of us here, who are all just fellow users, know why the Daily Show was removed from any iTunes Store. It was certainly by request of the owner(s) of the show, but what their reasons are none of us here can say and Apple never comments on the reasons for lack of availability of any content.

Since you got a new MBP, does it have Lion or Mountain Lion, and what version of iTunes?
If current it should see the iPhone. If it will not, try attaching in recovery mode, start iTunes, connect the USB end of the cable, then while holding the home button on the iPhone connect the dock connector end of the cable to the iPhone...should put it in recovery mode and iTunes should then see it.
Don't go to restore from backup since you don't have that on this computer. You can backup and update the iOS.

I had similar problem. My iPhone was always about 3 minutes faster than the correct time here in the UK which I found to be very irritating. It just came to a head because here in the UK we have just changed from British Summer Time back to standard GMT. This actually worked automatically except that the iPhone time still showed it to be about 3 minutes faster than GMT. However I have now cured the problem (almost) by going to
Settings/General/ Date & Time/ and then selected the "Set Automatically" button.
The clock then immediately jumped back 3 minutes and now the iPhone time is only about 10 seconds slow which is good enough for me.

This e-mail states that another ‘private message’ presumably via e-mail would be sent/received but I haven’t received anything else from an e-mail perspective. Presumably it is just a matter of navigating through a low number of settings to get to the caller-id option.

Why does the iPhone convert animated .GIF images?

I saved a bunch of animated .GIF files on my iPhone.
When I imported them onto my computer, they were all single framed .JPG files.
Why does the iPhone convert the images, and is there any way to prevent this?

you can play gif in webView ,just the same way you load a jpeg or png..
