If you added or changed the credit card details on your account at the same time as making the purchase then you will probably have a received a small temporary store holding charge to check that the card details are correct and valid, but which should disappear within a few days or so. How much is the 'charge' ? You aren't charged for downloading free apps (though some then allow you to make in-app purchases in them).
Did you add or change your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you did then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge ($1 or approximate local equivalent) may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

You can but the TC is the worst possible location. The design is slow to start and quick to stop data connections.. that will cause trouble.
Moving folders has specific instructions.

Move it to an external hard disk fine.. but be very sure you will not be happy with the TC as a location.

So i I bought songs on itunes, and I was wondering when does the money come out of your checking-account after purchasing songs? It took out money directly the first time when i purchased a song, but not it seems like it's taking longer then usual. Does anyone know how long it takes for apple to take the money you spent out of your checking-account?

As for your issue: did Apple have to replace the screen or components behind it? If so, it is quite possible that the entire top was replaced as some of them are a complete unit. If that is not the case, you should address this with the Apple people you dealt with for the repair.

Accessing the same mail from 2 different accounts?

I have two accounts set up on my Mac: Adminstrator (under which all my email accounts live); and a separate "writing" account where I do...what else...WRITING.
Is there any way to alter the mail preferences to allow complete access to the administrator's email from the writing account? This would allow me to check/send email using the SAME email accounts from either mac account (so I'd see the same inboxes and email folders and their assorted messages).

It can (you might want to ask whomever handles your accounts if they have considered IMAP. POP is simply not as flexible. Many major email providers use it as well as private ones. Gmail, MobileMe, AOL are all IMAP.)
Set both accounts up with the same information. Go into both of them and go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Advanced and ensure that "Remove copy from server after retrieving a message" is NOT checked. Otherwise you won't get all the messages in both places.

If this situation continues you should contact Apple, after all, you don't want to be thought of as taking advantage, I'm sure. That's why you raised it in the first place.

Accessing Old Time Machine Backup From a New Account

I have had problems with my old Account and decided to create a new Account. I can "see" the old Time Machine backup lists from the new Account, but can't open or restore them to the new Account. I get the message that I do not have sufficient privileges although I set the new Account up with Administrator privleges.

You should have used Setup Assistant, not Migration Assistant, to transfer your data. I suggest you start over by booting into Recovery, erasing the startup volume, and installing OS X. When you reboot, Setup Assistant will start automatically. Follow the prompt to import data from a Time Machine snapshot. The backup history will then be inherited. The first backup will still be a full one; that can't be avoided.

I just created an Apple Id for my wife and a user account for her. We are on the same computer (iMac). I cant for the love of God get my itunes library to show on her user account on computer. My library shows up under shared library when i select it it just keeps loading and nothing. When i try the hold down option while opening itunes on her user account and then choose library my library doesnt show up as option. What in the world am i doing wrong, why is Apple making this so difficult. We are not going to buy separte computers just to share itunes content. Please help.

You can sync devices with the same iCloud ID, not seperate ones.
If she has a different login on your Mac, make sure she has her own ID defined in System Prefs > iCloud

Why do hot corners break every time I wake from sleep?

Every time I open my computers, my set hot corners have stopped working. In the settings, they are still there, but I have to either change the settings and change them back, or use the terminal command 'killall Dock' to fix the issue. It's quite annoying to have to do this every single time I turn on my computer. Does anyone know a fix?

I have this same issue - after coming back from sleep hot corners stop working - this is a constant problem and I think having to type "killall Dock" is NOT a solution. I also have a rMBP with 10.8.2
